"Luna with all of her adventures Twilight will have more use of him in Ponyville, and if you notice he looks more fondly to Rainbow Dash." Celestia stated looking sternly.
"Hm, perhaps you are right just all the stallions seem to make proposals to you and none to me" Luna complained.
"I understand Luna, but the right stallion will come along it just takes time." Celestia stated comforting her sister.
"Press forward, don't stop now we're almost to the throne room!" Obsidian Blaze yelled swinging his jagged blade. Blasting another changeling Twilight dropped to her knees. "Are you alright your highness!" Blaze yelled running to her.
"Sorry not used to using this much magic, or running this much." Twilight sighed gasping for breath.
"General we've reached the throne room!" Cried a drone.
"Alright hold this door and protect the princess." Blaze stated flaring his horn.
"Well well General Blaze." Chrysalis stated flatly with a bored expression from her throne.
"Queen Chrysalis, you have dishonored your hive thus by ancient code I am required to eliminate you and appoint a new queen!" Blaze yelled, his voice echoing across the room. "And any whom interfere will be slain as well." he continued a sternness that startled the two honor guards standing at the base of the throne. Growling in rage Queen Chrysalis lunged at her form or general. Rising his blade Obsidian Blaze blocked the holed hooves. Grunting he threw Chrysalis off as he charged a blast of magic, releasing it upon the queen.
"Will not fall to you now or EVER!" Chrysalis screamed unleashing a torrent of green magic straing aginst Blazes red stream causing a glow of brown light. After a few minutes the brown light formed a ball eventually exploding forcing the two away to the walls. Grunting Blaze rose to his feet noticing Chrysalis stumbling to her hooves.
"You know this may be cliché but I do believe we are of equal power." Obsidian Blaze stated. Screaming Chrysalis charged gasping as a long jagged blade enveloped in a purple aura was forced into her. "Well that was unexpected." He stated blankly looking at Twilight as she let the blade go staring at the dead queen shock plastered to her face. A green mist emanated from Chrysalis and floated to Obsidian Blaze's horn. "lieutenant step forward!" He commanded.
"Yes general." Lieutenant Hope stated timidly.
"By the desision of the hive you have been selected as the next hive queen." Blaze stated bowing. Soon after his horn glew as the green mist transferred to Hope. "The hive is yours to command, Queen Hope." he continued raising to stand by Twilight's side.
"Will she get taller?" Twilight asked as they flew towards Canterlot.
"Yes, but it will take time for the full power to manifest." Blaze stated looking around. Spotting a pony he quickly set to the ground and shifting to his pony form with the addition of a fiery hammer on his flank.
"Oh hello there." the pony called out softly hiding behind her pink mane.
"Fluttershy!" Twilight yelled hugging the mare.
"Ah yes now I remember you Ms. Shy." Blaze stated dispelling his disguise and nodding his head. Gasping she hid behind Twilight.
"Fluttershy it's alright he a good changeling." Twilight reasured her timid friend.
"What am I a dog?" Blaze asked quizzically. Giggling Twilight lead the two back to town as Obsidian Blaze reconciled himself. Flaring his horn Obsidian Blaze saw a red alicorn appear. "Princess Celestia." he stated with a bow.
"Ah general I take it you succeeded." Celestia stated. Raising to his hooves Blaze nodded. "Good." she responded. "Luna and I have decided that your skill will be better served in Ponyville." she continued in her motherly tone.
"As you wish your highness." Blaze responded. Canceling his magic the image of Celestia dispersed. "Good morning." he stated as six mares entered the map room as breakfast was set.
"Um Twilight darling you do relize there's a changeling in your home right?" Rarity asked pointing at Obsidian Blaze.
"Yes Rarity he's staying in Ponyville." Twilight stated rolling her eyes.
"Yes but I will need a place to live until I have a home of my own." Obsidian Blaze stated pulling a chair to the table for himself.
"Well anypony have anywhere for him to stay." Rainbow Dash asked looking frantically around at her friends. Sighing she noticed all her friends shaking their heads. "Fine you can stay at my house." Rainbow Dash complained. "But don't try anything!" she yelled.
"As you wish." Blaze responded nodding his head as he and Rainbow Dash set off for her cloud home.
