They all arrived back at the castle.
"Hey, you all came back.", Cheese said. "We were about to start the gifting."
"But, wait.", Twilight said. "Before, anypony start opening gifts, we have a gift for our friend here." She picked up one of Spike's presents from under the tree and handed it to Spike.
"Is this one for me?", Spike asked.
"Yes.", Rainbow Dash said. "And it's from all of us."
Spike was about to tear the wrapping paper apart. But, Rarity took the present out of Spike's hands to stop him.
"Wait! Before we do that, I have something I want to say to Spike.", Rarity said.
Twilight took the present in her magic and rolled her eyes with a smile. "Take your time, Rarity. No rush at any point.", she said.
Spike faced Rarity with a nervous smile on his face. "So, Rarity, what exactly do you want to tell me?", he asked.
"Oh, I thought you would guess what, but perhaps you didn't.", Rarity said. "Well, here it comes. Oh, Spikey, we're both facing each other and we're standing under something floating in the air. Do you know what it is?"
"Um, no? What?", Spike asked.
"Look up above and see what it is.", Rarity said.
Spike looked up and saw a mistletoe floating above him and the white unicorn. "Hey.", he said. He pointed at the figure. "Is that a mistletoe?"
"That's right.", Rarity said, getting close to Spike's face. She planted her lips into Spike's cheek, giving it a kiss. "That was a kiss for the most wonderful dragon of all."
The crowd adored the whole moment. "Awwwww."
Spike blushed with embarrassment. "Oh... uh... That explains a lot, doesn't it?", he asked.
Twilight gave the present back to Spike. "Now, you can open it, Spike.", she said.
Spike ripped the wrapping off and looked at the revealed present. "A box?", he asked. "I don't normally get boxes."
"That's not all.", Pinkie said.
"Is it a book?", Spike asked. "It better not be a book."
"It's not a book.", Applejack said. "It's because Twilight gets you books a lot doesn't mean you guessed it was a book."
Spike removed the lid. It was a picture of him and his friends. "It's a picture... of us.", he said. "When was this?"
"The day our castle was born.", Fluttershy said.
"It sure was.", Rarity said. "That was one of my favorite times of our lives."
"I wasn't here back then.", Starlight said.
Spike's eyes started to tear up. "This is one of the best gifts I've ever got.", he said. "What would I be if I didn't have you as my family?"
Spike's friends wrapped their hooves around him and hugged him. "The best gift from the best friends.", Twilight said.
