Cloudburst Keys

After ringing the first bell of waking, Baron Von Smashbeak infiltrated the boot camp and retrieved the Gem Key under the Dream Sheep’s nose. Once the heroes have returned to the archives, the gem was placed back into the door it belonged to. The door spoke with a tone knowing that it’s been doing this for some time,

“Thank you, I suppose. I didn’t think you had it in you, Blackout and to you as well Spotlight. To show our gratitude, we give you access to this part yadda yadda. Enter.”

The door opened as the four dragons approached the portal that will take them to another area that the second bell of waking resides. But next to the portal was a sleeping librarian that suddenly jolted awake by their presence. The librarian spoke,

“Good morning, Skylanders. What a pleasant surprise that you and Spotlight are back in the archives, Blackout. Would you like to share some tea?”

Blackout shook his head, “Not really, but where did the tea come from?” The librarian stated, “I brought it back from Cloudburst Keys.”

Spotlight remembered that place, “Cloudburst Keys is known for their tea. The monks grow the tea herbs at…”

Blackout finished, “The Monastery of Waking! That’s where the second bell is!”

The librarian pointed to the portal, “I can see that you want to get to the monastery. If you use this portal behind me, it can take you to Cloudburst Keys.”

Blackout nodded as he said, “Thanks for the tip.” He turned to the three dragons with him, “Come on guys, let’s get to Cloudburst Keys!” The four dragons jumped into the portal that lead them to their destination.

When they arrived at Cloudburst Keys, they noticed that the winds were too strong for them to fly to the monastery. Princess Luna appeared to inform them as she said,

“I can see that the winds are too strong to fly to the temple. You will have to go on foot to reach the temple.”

Blades nodded, “You got it, your highness.” Luna warned, “But be careful, the Dream Sheep has his evil elves patrolling the Windy Pass. A Nightmare Elf is leading this faction of elves in the pass. From what we can see is that he’s an expert marksman.”

Blackout shuddered, “Bobbin Rood.”

Luna asked, “Someone you know?” Blackout nodded, “Bobbin is the only expert marksman from the Dream World that I know of.”

Luna nodded, “Be safe, Skylanders. And know that we will be watching your progress.”

The Lunar Alicorn vanished as the four dragons progressed into the pass. They came across a mabu that stated that it’s windy because the mountains eat too many beans. They paid no mind to that statement as they started to make their way to the pass when suddenly a Nightmare Drow Archer appeared in front of the four. This was the archer that Blackout knew about as the archer said,

“Long time no see, Blackout!”

The dragon replied, “Bobbin Rood, we meet again!”

The archer pointed, “You may have stopped me before I could fire a single shot last time. But this time you and your friends will tremble in fear. For I do not miss!” The archer vanished as the four dragons decided to go after him. Spotlight had to use her beam attacks to take down a few chompies and a Drow Witch as the four made it to a bounce pad and sprung towards the next area of the pass.

In the next area showed a Traptanium Deposit, a blocked gate and two drow guarding the gate. Echo went to work by using her siren scream attack on one of the drow while Blackout flew to the drow on the far side near the gate and whipped his wings at the evil-doer. Spotlight flagged the crystal deposit for a Trap Master to destroy and harvest while the four dragons destroyed the gate and progressed on.

When they reached the next area of the pass which was near where they started from, much to their annoyance, the four dragons fought several drow and hopped across several platforms with ease as they were nearly blown over the edge by wind statues scattered all over the pass. But when they reached the end of those platforms, they saw a nightmare page which contains information on their archer friend. Blackout took the page and read,

“Armed with his magic bow, Bobbin Rood could fire an arrow so accurately that he can shoot the middle out of a gold piece thrown high in the air and have it rain down change.”

Blades noticed, “Sounds like he’s a really skilled archer.”

Blackout added, “An archer that could give Flameslinger a run for his money.” After they sent the page to Luna, the four dragons jumped up the steps while avoiding the wind that was blown from the totems. They defeated two Drow Lance Masters that were guarding a puzzle door, so Echo solved the puzzle and opened the door to a bounce pad which sprung them to another area of the Windy Pass.

In the next area, there was a bounce pad which led up to a ledge and it was guarded by three drow, two Lance Masters and a Witch. Blackout looked at the enemies and then back to his friends as he told Blades,

“Cyclone Swirl those Lance Masters, Blades!” Blades unleashed his Cyclone Swirl and flung it at the two drow, getting them caught in the cyclone. Blackout spoke to Echo,

“Echo, give them a good shriek.”

The Dragoness unleashed her siren scream on the trapped drow and flung them into the witch as Blackout and Spotlight finished them off with spiked-ball and gold ring strike.

After dealing with those drow, the four dragons reached the bounce pad and made it to the upper level as they saw a battle gate appear and Bobbin Rood overlooking their arena as he yelled,

“Go away, Blackout! You’re not wanted here!”

The Nightmare Drow Archer shot his arrows into the air, heading towards the dragons. But Blackout shouted, “SCATTER!”

The dragons separated as they began to dodge Bobbin’s arrows from hitting them. But his arrows weren’t the only things to worry about, it was the enemies that were assisting him. Blades charged at the enemies while avoiding the arrows as he used his bladed wings to take a witch down while Echo uses her siren scream on a lance master. Blackout used his spiked ball strike on another lance master while Spotlight finished it off with a few gold rings and her beam attack. The battle gates crumbled as Bobbin Rood realized that he missed every shot… a big blow to his ego,

“Wait? What? How? NO!!”

Blackout stated, “We may not be wanted, but we are clearly needed.”

Bobbin Rood retreated as the group moved on to get through the pass. After they made up the floating platforms to another battle gate, there were more enemies in their path, but Spotlight moved in and dealt with them as the other three stared in disbelief until the battle gate lowered. But on the right of the battle gate, there was a locked gate which required a key to open it.

The four spotted a sleeping mabu just beyond the open battle gate. They made their way to the mabu and woke him up. The mabu was rubbing his eyes out as he said,

“I know you guys saw that locked gate down there, did you?” Blackout spoke, “Yeah, we did.”

The mabu pulled out the key, “And I seem to have the key in my pocket. But if you beat me in a game of Skystones, I’ll give you the key to the gate.”

Blackout had no choice but to accept the mabu’s offer decided to play Skystones. The game was quick and Blackout came out on top. As promised, the mabu gave the dragon the key to the gate and unlocked it as the dragons progressed on.

After jumping up the floating platforms, they fought a few chompies and two drow archers when they came across another locked gate as they spotted the key being guarded by a small batch of drow soldiers and a drow witch. Blackout looked at the drow guarding the key and back to his friends as he said,

“Let’s sprint this. Follow my lead and take each one down.”

The three dragons nodded, “Got it!” On Blackout’s signal, all four dragons sprinted through the evil elves as each dragon took down one drow soldier at a time before doing an all out attack on the drow witch and took her down. They retrieved the key in the process and made their way back to the gate.

After opening the gate, they saw a corridor with wind totems blowing a powerful wind that would knock them off of the ledge. So the dragons had to time their movements with the two totems when they stop blowing. But the first thing that the need to do is to get past the barricade that is in their path. After the first totem stopped, the four dragons charged through and cleared the first totem before it started to blow again. After destroying the barricade, they waited for the second totem to stop before moving onward through the path and towards the bounce pad that took them to another area of the Windy Pass.

After jumping across a few rotating platforms and taking down a drow archer, they came to a large structure with ice along the path and overlooking them from above was Bobbin Rood, not too happy that they dodged his arrows the first time as he looked at the four dragons,

“You four are really annoying me!”

Blackout asked, “Is it because we tarnished your record on never missing a shot?”

Bobbin yelled, “Shut up, Blackout!” Spotlight added, “We fought you and defeated you before you even had a chance to let off a single arrow.”

The nightmare drow yelled again, “I said SHUT UP!” He was soon irritated as he yelled, “I won’t miss this time!”

He soon shot three arrows into the air as the dragons rushed forward to avoid the arrows and keep themselves on the slippery ice since the wind totems on the icy path would blow them off. Getting through the pass while somebody is firing arrows at you is always a challenge, but it wasn’t a problem with four dragons of Air, Water, Light and Dark. Blades dealt with the two drow archers that were on the side while Blackout used a bounce pad to jump to Bobbin’s level as the dragon said,

“Surprise Knife-Ears!”

The Nightmare Drow Archer yelled, “Wait! I dropped my shoe!!” He leapt to another area to find his ‘shoe’ while the others met Blackout on the upper level as Blades asked,

“Did he really drop his shoe?” Spotlight shook her head, “He was probably embarrassed that we got through his barrage once again.”

Echo noticed a pedestal, “Guys, there’s another Nightmare Page!”

The others noticed as they went to the pedestal as Blades took the page and read it,

“Raised by a tribe of elf hunters, Bobbin started shooting a bow at the age of two. Then he got his first pair of tights.”

The dragon skylanders were shocked by this as Blades said, “I can’t believe that he started shooting a bow when he was only two.”

Blackout noticed, “He even got his first pair of tights at the age of two.”

Spotlight nodded, “An elf in tights...at least we’ll be the ones to put out his lights.” Soon enough, they sent the page to Luna as the jumped down to the path and moved on to the teleporter. It sent them to another area of the pass where they fought more of the Dream Sheep’s drow forces, jumped the floating platforms and surprisingly found another Nightmare Page...which was fast since they got the second one just minutes ago.

Spotlight read the page, “It’s been said that Bobbin was so focused on his training that, for a time, his bow was his only companion.”

Blades noticed, “That sounds like dedication if you ask me.”

Blackout nodded, “Being so focused on training and not having time for companionship for a time until the Dream Sheep’s first move on the waking world using the dragon clan.”

Echo noticed, “I bet he must’ve made friends with his fellow Nightmare Villains after that.”

Spotlight soon sent the page to Luna as they hopped onto the floating platform, dodged a wind totem, hopped onto another platform, nearly dodging a falling lance master and fighting a group of drow to get to the bounce pad on the other side of the bridge.

They soon sprung to the final area of the pass which had wind totems and the exit portal beyond. But standing in the way of the four dragon skylanders was Bobbin Rood as he pointed to the four,

“Now you are my targets, Skylanders!” Bobbin shot three arrows into the air as the four scattered to avoid the arrows and the wind so they don’t get blown off. Spotlight shot her golden rings in the arena and used her eye beams to link with each ring and connect it straight to the archer as it hit him several times.

Bobbin noticed her and shot five arrows at her which caused the dragoness to dodge them. Blades used a Cyclone Swirl and shot his swords in the swirl and directed them to the archer as Bobbin was hit with several attacks from the swirl.

Echo fired a water bubble filled with noise as it hit the archer, the loud noise from the bubble caused him to cover his ears as he screamed,

“AHH, WHO TURNED ON THE LOUDSPEAKERS!!?”

Blackout whipped his wings at the archer, fired his shadow balls and used his black hole teleportation to attack him on both sides.

Bobbin fell to his knees as he looked up to the four dragons and asked, “Are you guys done?”
Spotlight shook her head, “Not yet.”

Echo looked up, “She still has to have her turn.”

Bobbin asked, “She?” Soon enough, a thump of magic occurred as Bobbin realized who ‘She’ is as he said,

“Uh oh!” He looked up as a vortex opened as it began to suck him in. He was trying to escape, but it was too much for him and he screamed as he flew into the vortex as it closed up. Luna appeared in a hologram as the crystal containing Bobbin appeared as well,

“You have done well, Skylanders. With the capture of Bobbin Rood, you have made it through the Windy Pass.”

Blackout replied as he slightly bowed his head, “We do our best, Princess Luna.”

Bobbin Rood soon spoke from the crystal, “The Dream Roaming Alicorn of the Night, Princess Luna? You’re the ‘She’ that Echo was referring to?”

Luna looked at her captive, “Yes, I am, Bobbin Rood. Now I want you to listen...Will you use your years of archery training for good instead of evil?”

The archer was quivering in his tights since Luna asked him to join them, gathering up his courage in front of the buzz of the Dream Realm, he replied, “Okay, I accept your offer. My bow is at your service, your highness.”

After they faded, the four dragons jumped into the exit portal and got through the Windy Pass.

Meanwhile at Cloudcracker Base, the base had received a visit from one of the new Superchargers that was recruited by Celestia. The Supercharger was a pink female faun, she carried what looked like a staff in the shape of a paintbrush as she looked around and headed for the library of the base. As soon as she arrived at the library of the base, she started searching through every book with no results.

She looked at one book, “No.” She placed it back and took out another, still she had a sad look on her face, “No, not this one.”

She reached out for another book and hoped to find what she was looking for, only to have that disappointed look on her face. She put the book back as she said,

“That’s not it either…” The faun sighed, “There’s gotta be something on her.”

The faun was frustrated since there were no results of what she was looking for. Fortunately, Twilight noticed the Supercharger’s frustration as she asked,

“Excuse me, are you that Supercharger that the Princess recruited?”

The faun nodded, “Yes I am. I’m Splat in case you are wondering.” The unicorn nodded, “Nice to meet you, Splat. I’m Twilight Sparkle, I’m an observer here in the base. I’m only here to study the base’s construction and the day to day operations.” The unicorn decided to ask, “What brings you to the base’s library?”

Splat explained, “I was trying to find details on one of the members of the Inner Council.”

Twilight asked, “Which one are you looking for?” The faun answered, “A faun named Gaia, she was a defender of nature and the planet during the war. Last time that I’ve heard of her were only stories of the original members, Gaia included.”

Twilight asked, “Why do you want to know about her?” Splat rubbed the back of her neck before saying, “Well it’s kind of hard to explain it but, she’s my mother and my father has told stories about her very often. Then came to when he talked about her death with a sad expression, she faced several apes and summoned the full extent of her abilities. Despite the many apes that she slain, she also took some hits from the enemy until the battle ended. Every ape was slain and Gaia died due to her injuries. Afterwards, her Traptanium Bracelet which was crafted by the First Trap Master himself, vanished. I’ve been wanting to find out about her and what her plans were before she passed.”

Snap Shot entered the room as he overheard the conversation and realized, “I’ve been listening to your conversation and trust me on this. Gaia was known for never leaving her documents in a library. To her, it would be too easy for the enemy to find.”

Splat noticed the crocogator and asked, “If she didn’t leave it in a library, than where could she have left her stories and tales?”

Snap Shot remembered, “Your mother was always the secretive one of the council. She would speak of sending her plans to the neighboring world so that it could be safe from the apes. She would always explain it to me about such things, keeping it hidden from Drago. I’d always right her off as too stuck in her research until one day...she succeeded.”

Cloudcracker Prison, Malefor’s Conflict.

At Cloudcracker Prison, Snap Shot ran to Gaia’s room to find a flash of light and all of her plans disappearing before his eyes. The crocogator looked and saw the faun herself with a green and purple glow in her hands as she sighed,

“Finally, they’re safe,..”

Snap Shot asked, “Gaia, what was that?”

Gaia replied, “I found a place where I could send my scrolls and my plans, so they would never get harmed by the apes.” The crocogator asked, “Where?”

The faun motioned him to follow her to the map room as she used her abilities as the map of their world shifted into another world’s map. Gaia described,

“I didn’t want any of my plans to fall into the hands of those apes. So I decided to send them to Equis, our neighboring world.”

Snap Shot asked, “But aren’t you afraid that the locals would find your plans?”

Gaia shook her head, “I made some adjustments on where to send it specifically.” She pointed to an area near the local village which is a dark forested area as a green dot started to glow, “This forest is largely feared by the locals. They say that it has odd magical effects to it unless they know how to navigate it.”

The faun zoomed in on the image as a rotting castle was in view, “This was a very secluded area in the forest. The ruins of this castle suggested either a battle or the previous owners left this castle to rot away and have the forest take it.”

Snap Shot asked, “But what would happen if anyone actually braved that forest and reached the castle?”

Gaia looked down at the map and then up to Snap Shot, “It’s - kinda hard to explain this…” The croc folded his arms, “Enlighten me.”

The faun decided to admit, “It’s about a dream that I had...about my daughter. In this dream, my daughter was grown up and trying to discover information on me. I didn’t know if what I saw was a dream or a vision, but Splat was standing before my stash in the castle ruins.”

Snap Shot unfolded his arms, “Drago would’ve said along the lines of it being a vision of the future which caused you to see her find your stash on that world. It may also mean that we would be on that world sometime in the future.”

Gaia chuckled, “Drago is always the one with the knowledge.” Snap Shot shrugged, “Not always, Phoenix and I tend to pitch in every hour and then.”

Gaia understood, “Either way, that dream was the reason why I sent my supplies there.”

Snap Shot approached the faun, “Whatever happens in the future, only one of us would still be around.”

Snap shot finished his story about Gaia as Splat realized,

“She sent her supplies here!?”

Snap Shot nodded, “And after I did a quick survey of the area, she sent them to a rotting castle in the Everfree Forest.”

Twilight remembered, “The Castle of the Sisters! Gaia’s plans are there?!”

Snap Shot looked at the unicorn, “Surprised that a place where you and your friends made your stand against Nightmare Moon and met Jet-Vac also had the hidden documents on my colleague.”

Splat, determined to find her mother’s scrolls said, “We need to get to that castle as quickly as possible!”

Twilight warned, “The Everfree Forest is full of dangerous creatures and magical anomalies that are unexplainable to even myself.” She soon brought her gear, “That’s why I’m going with you two.”

Snap Shot asked, “Hoping to study Gaia’s scrolls?”

Twilight replied, “No, My friends and I went through there twice to reach the castle so I’ll need to guide you through and plus a certain pilot pulled the wrong lever to my lab last week.”

*Flashback*

Flynn came into the Library and said, “To be honest, Twilight. That stallion that had the cement dumped on him wasn’t my fault. The guy thought he’d be taking a shortcut by walking by my treehouse while I was putting in a path to the treehouse.”

Twilight looked at the pilot and asked, “And why type of cement were you using?”

Flynn replied, “It was a shatter-proof quick-drying cement!” The unicorn facehooved, “That stuff would require a more alchemical touch to be removed!” She pointed her hoof towards her closet,

“TO THE SECRET LAB!”

The pilot and unicorn entered the closet as two levers stood before them. Twilight simply ordered the pilot,

“Pull the Lever, Flynn.”

He did and the floor underneath her gave way as she dropped down the trapdoor screaming, “WRONG LEVER!!!”

Flynn looked down the trapdoor as a splashing sound was heard as he said, “Uh oh.”

The closet door opened up as a soaked Twilight walked in with an alligator biting her tail as she facehooved,

“Why do I even have that lever?!” She kicked her backhooves at the gator as the reptile ran off barking like a dog. She soon pulled the correct lever as the wall spins and flings them onto a coaster cart. The lap bar came down as the speaker said,

“Please remain seated and keep your hooves inside the cart at all times.”

The coaster started as Flynn cheered while waving his hands in the air. He cheered,

“WAHOO!! FASTER, FASTER!!” He shouted to Twilight, “TWILIGHT, PUT YOUR HOOVES IN THE AIR!” He cheered for a while until the cart came to a stop and they landed on the floor of Twilight’s secret lab, equipped in Secret Lab equipment as they did a fist/hoof bump before going to work.

*Flashback Ends*

Snap Shot and Splat soon understood her reasons for joining them through the Everfree Forest, not only because she trekked there before. Although the part with the gator seemed kinda harsh, Snap Shot asked,

“When did you keep a gator underneath the library?” He was curious of his lesser-evolved cousin being in that library. Twilight sighed,

“Well, I thought I would need him in case of an intruder. But apparently, there was no use of the gator so I sent him to Fluttershy’s.”

Splat understood as she said, “At least we know why.” The faun looked out towards the horizon and saw the Everfree in the distance as she said, “We should get into the Everfree and find my mother’s scrolls.”

They now agreed as the trio left the base and went into the forest.

Meanwhile back at Cloudburst Keys, the four dragons have managed to reach the Monastery of Waking to ring the second bell and wake up the inhabitants of the Cloudburst Keys. But as they reached the bell chamber, they only saw an ‘old friend’ of their’s blocking the bell. The Dream Sheep looked at the Sleep Dragon and said,

“You incompetent fool! I told you to land gently this time!”

The Sleep Dragon realized as he replied, “What - oh, sorry. I thought you said I was “landed gentry”. Hehe. Silly.”

The sheep, although frustrated with his ‘pet’ turned to the four dragons and said, “And all of YOU! Did you actually think that you could just go around ringing bells and I wouldn’t stop you?”

Blackout shook his head, “We knew that you would try to stop us. So showing yourself is a perfect opportunity to show us what you're made of.”

Spotlight added, “After Stoneshrine Islands, we weren’t impressed.”

The Dream Sheep stated, “Well this time would be different since I won’t lose to the likes of you four again!” He threatened, “Now - quake helplessly in your ridiculous boots, Blackout and Spotlight! Because now, you face - THE DREAM SHEEP!”

Blades asked, “And what are me and Echo? Chopped Liver!”

The sheep growled at the air dragon’s question until the Sleep Dragon decided to act smart, “Uh… not to put too fine a point on it, but dragons don’t wear any boots. They can’t possibly quake in boots anyway. And Blades is wearing a set of armor while Echo wears bracers and headphones…”

The sheep shouted, “Quiet you! It doesn’t matter what each dragon is wearing! It was just an expression! Now - ATTACK!”

The Sleep Dragon obeyed as he slammed his tail right onto the four dragons. But they scattered before impact.

The Dream Sheep ordered, “There is no escape! SQUASH THE SKYLANDERS!” The Sleep Dragon did his shockwave attack which the four dragons dodged successfully.

The Dream Sheep spotted Blades and ordered the Sleep Dragon, “Use a Mega Slam on the Armored Dragon!”

The large dragon twirled his tail before bringing it down on Blades, only for Echo’s Siren Scream to knock the yellow ball off of the tip. The Sleep Dragon whimpered as he licked his tail while the Dream Sheep asked,

“Are you TRYING to disappoint me!?”

Echo flung the yellow orb at the large lizard as he fell asleep, flinging the Dream Sheep off of him. The sheep unfortunately landed in front of the two dragons as he was soon pelted by loud screams, cyclone swirls and swords that nearly sheared his wool off. He yelled at the down dragon,

“WAKE UP! I’ll give you BACON…” The mention of bacon instantly woke the large dragon as the sheep got onto his pet and shouted as they took off,

“Minions! CHARGE!!”

Soon enough, several elves and chompies showed up as the dragons decided, “Princess Luna, send in Olaf Crushersson!”

At that instant, the Nightmare Goliath Drow joined in the battle as he charged a group of drow and chompies while the dragons took another group. Once both groups were done, Olaf yelled,

“Break Time!” He soon vanished in a flash of light before the dragons heard the Dream Sheep yell,

“DRAGON SQUASH!” The Sleep Dragon slammed onto the ground sending out shockwaves at least three times until the sheep saw that they didn’t hit his intended targets. He yelled, “COME ON, SLAM THEM!”

The Sleep Dragon did a tail slam which almost hit Blackout as the Dream Sheep yelled, “YOU ALMOST HAD HIM! DO IT AGAIN!”

As the dragon attempted to do another strike, he was soon hit by a water orb filled with light, sounds and swords as the Sleep Dragon thrashed around as the noise was basically a children’s lullaby until he fell asleep, flinging the Dream Sheep in front of Blackout as he was confused on how it got through his shield until Blackout used several wing whips and shadow attacks on the sheep as he tried to wake the Sleep Dragon up.

The lullaby had the Sleep Dragon in a deep sleep as the Dream Sheep looked at Blackout, “You had something to do with this, didn’t you?!”

Blackout kept vigilant, “It wasn’t me, the attack was hers.” He pointed to Echo, who sported a blue aura around her. The Sheep now looked frightened at the water dragoness as she said,

“I think it’s time to make some noise loud enough to wake your pet.”

The sheep could only watch as Echo rose up into the air as several music notes formed around her until it reached its peak. Soon enough, her eyes began to glow blue as she said in a voice that sounded like many,

“Fury of the Sound Dragon’s Legacy!”

She soon let out a shockwave of sound as it rippled throughout the temple. It hit the Dream Sheep and woke the Sleep Dragon as the sheep was struggling to cover his ears until he got back onto the dragon as Echo’s Fury Wave subsided.

The four dragons knew that this was a victory for them and a defeat for the Dream Sheep as the Sleep Dragon realized,

“Oh I get it now, you are trying to confuse them.”

That got the four dragons silently questioning his statement while the Dream Sheep asked, “UGH… What?”

The large dragon stated, “Yeah. You’re showing the Skylanders “who is boss” by losing to them. Hehehe. I must say, that’s very clever of you. I never would’ve guessed that… hehe… but I guess I did.” He noticed the sheep’s face changing color, “Um… why are you turning purple like that?”

The Dream Sheep silently answered with a fury, “I… Like… Purple.” And comes the furious sheep, “AND I’M LEAVING! But this isn’t over, Blackout and friends! Not by a long shot. And remember, I have spies everywhere!”

Blackout chuckled, “You’re not the only one.”

The Sleep Dragon was amazed, “OOOOH, spies… Awesome!” The Dream Sheep yelled, “Quiet you! Now FLY!”

The duo took off as Spotlight rang the bell of waking as it’s magical energies surged through the temple and all over Cloudburst Keys.

Meanwhile outside the temple, the Sleep Dragon set down for a nap until the bell’s energy woke him up,

“What? Oh is it breakfast time already? Can I have some bacon?”

The Dream Sheep, furious of his defeat said, “The only thing I’m serving up is a double-helping of Defeat from those miserable Dragon Skylanders...especially Blackout! Now get me out of here!”

The sheep climbed onto the Dragon as he said, “Aww, but I really like bacon.” After that, they flew back to their hideout.

Back in Equestria, the trio consisting of Splat, Snap Shot and Twilight had traversed the Everfree Forest and reached the Castle ruins.Upon entering the castle, the Supercharger soon felt a presence in her mind. A voice that’s calling for her, this was noticed by the unicorn,

“Splat, are you okay?”

The faun replied as she gripped her mother’s amulet, the symbol of the Life Element which Splat keeps around her neck as a memento of her mother even though her element is Magic, “I just got a feeling that I’m hearing something in my head...something that could lead us to the scrolls.”

Twilight realized, “So we’ll follow you.” The faun nodded as she looked around the castle, “This castle was where you first saw a Skylander, right?”

Twilight nodded, “Jet-Vac fought Nightmare Moon in this castle to buy us time to reach the Elements of Harmony.”

The trio entered a room in the castle that showed a bed that hasn’t been used in years until Twilight used her magic to see if anything was important about this bed besides using it to sleep. She realized,

“This was Jet-Vac’s bed! He must’ve used this bed when he first took up residence in the castle.” She noticed how it was in alignment with the window, “He must’ve had a perfect view of the Everfree’s canopy.”

Snap Shot chuckled, “Good old, Jet-Vac."

They left Jet-Vac’s old room as they made their way to the throne room where the Mane 6 took their stand against their long-destroyed adversary. It was upon reaching the throne room when the voice in Splat’s head became more constant as she heard it say,

“You’re close.”

“It’s underneath the throne.” Soon enough, the amulet started to glow green as it pointed forward, Snap Shot realized,

“Gaia’s amulet is now pointing to the scrolls’ location!”

Splat noticed, “Underneath the throne…” Snap Shot asked, “How did Gaia’s scrolls end up underneath the throne?”

Twilight hypothesized, “Magical barrier, maybe? Hidden under magical lock and key is more likely.”

That’s when it hit the faun, “Key?” She looked at the amulet, “KEY!” She charged up to the throne and searched around looking for something that would be a proverbial keyhole.

It wasn’t until she noticed a startling accumulation of dust covering a hole. Splat used her magic paintbrush to wipe away the dust to reveal a hole in the shape of three leaves in the shape of an eight-pointed star - the same symbol that Gaia’s amulet is shaped after. Seeing this, Splat removed the amulet and placed it into the slo - that’s when it all happened. The area around the keyhole began to glow as the faun stepped back.

Splat, Twilight and Snap Shot could only watch as something began to rise up from the floor. It wasn’t some hidden creature that was beneath the castle, it was a chest with the emblem showing three shards of Traptanium. They recognized this as the emblem of the Trap Team. As soon as the light faded, Splat approached the chest and opened it, revealing several documents and scrolls from the Trap Master Gaia, her mother. Splat looked at her companions as she said in joy,

“These are my mother’s scrolls!”

Twilight and Snap Shot approached the chest as they saw the pieces of parchment and supplies belonging to Splat’s mother. Twilight felt giddy as a filly on Hearth’s Warming Morning while Snap Shot looked shocked after seeing this stuff once again. The unicorn spoke,

“We have to study these scrolls…” She looked at Splat, “With your permission since it's your mother’s and by right, it's yours now.”

The faun nodded as she looked up and saw snow falling down, “Not out here, but back at the base.”

Snap Shot responded, “Good choice.”

Meanwhile on the outskirts of the Griffon city of Griffonstone, Spike and his fellowship of Trail Blazer, Eye-Brawl, Princess Ember, Crash Bandicoot, Aku-Aku and Dive-Clops were in the final stretch to reaching the city. Spike pointed,

“Well, there's Griffon Ridge, Griffonstone is on the other side.”

Eye-Brawl nodded, “Once we get the griffons to help us, we can go home and prepare.”

Ember told Spike, “You know when I first met you I thought you were crazy to get the dragons to help the ponies. But now it seems that I was wrong about you.”

Spike replied to the Dragon Lord-To-Be, “I do my best, remember my training and what I’m fighting to protect.”

Crash said an unintelligible sentence that Ak-Aku translated, “He is saying that of all the times that he was saving our world from Dr. Cortex, he knows what he's trying to protect. He protects the world, his friends, his sister Coco and his adopted brother Crunch who he freed from Cortex’s control during the Elemental Incident.”

Spike asked, “Does he ever consider you like a father to him?”

He was trying to get back to Cortex Castle to rescue her. I saw determination to get her out and put an end to Cortex’s scheme. But after we discovered that Crash had a sister that was also put under Cortex’s Evolvo-Ray and used as a backup in case his test with Tawna failed...I decided to take both Crash and Coco in after stopping Cortex.”

Griffonstone was a city in ruins like it was, but there was smoke rising in the air as the several griffons were striking at the ground and pulling several familiar creatures into the air and dropping them. Then there was the portal over the city as it became completely obvious to the seven new arrivals - Griffonstone is under attack!

“Oh no…” silently said by Trail Blazer as the group watched the whole city at war
