Chapter 3
An eerie quietness filled the room, until it was broken by Twilight.
"W-What do we do? We all know what X.A.N.A. is capable of... But what can we do? You guys can’t get back to Lyoko, more or less your world."
The eerie silence returned again but this time it was broken by the bloodcurdling scream that came from outside. The group rushed out the door to see what was wrong... only to find that the town was under attack by... Robots... The robots from Siberia. Houses were burning; the sky was covered with smoke... And ponies were running in every direction.
"Come on! We have to move! I'll take care of them! You remember what I did to Apple Jack's old barn right?" said Rainbow Dash.
"I sure do Rainbow... Just try not to die." said Twilight as she and the others ran for cover.
"What did Rainbow do to your barn Apple Jack?" asked Odd.
"Oh boy... you'll see, and ya might wanna take cover... Now." said Apple Jack. "But why-"
*BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
The ground shook like a 9.0 earthquake as a rainbow colored mushroom cloud rose to the sky, with residue from a sonic boom. As the dust cleared, the ponies could all see the piles of metal that were once deadly robots, and a proud Rainbow Dash standing in the middle.
"Ten seconds flat." said Rainbow with a chuckle as she walked by them.
The others could only look in shock at the mangled mess. "What the heck were the robots from Siberia doing here?" asked Odd.
"I don't know... But I think i might know how they got here... If I stil have a connection to Lyoko... Something must be keeping the portal open just enough to allow the link to get through... With that... X.A.N.A could materialize robots just like we used to teleport ourselves to destroy Replikas," said Jeremy.
"So what? Do we just sit here and let X.A.N.A terrorize the rest of Equestria? Is there nothing we can do?!" shouted Twilight.
"There might be something, but there is only a 0.5% chance of this working..." said Jeremy.
"Well go on... Tell us," said Odd.
Everyone stared at Jeremy... Waiting desperately for a response.
"Ok... Throughout our fight with X.A.N.A and the Replikas, I was starting to think... What if X.A.N.A managed to destroy the scanners? Or if we can't get to the factory? I was working on a sort of remote virtualization process that didnt require a scanner... Just a high power source and any computer with a link to Lyoko... It hasn’t been tested yet, and even if it did work, I'd need a nuclear power plant for the power... So it could never work," said Jeremy.
" But that doesn’t mean we can't try," said Twilight as she put her hoof on Jeremy's shoulder.
"Ok, let's go back to the library and try it out," said Jeremy, now sounding more confident.
The ponies watched with amazement as Jeremy's hoofs flew across the keyboard on his laptop, with each press being answered by a bunch of words scrolling up and down the screen.
"Don't tell me you actually understand all of this?" said Pinkie.
"It's not so hard, I mean, once you get used to it," said Jeremy.
"Ok it's ready. Odd, Ulrich, and Aelita, stand in front of me and clear your head... I hope this works," said Jeremy.
"OK... Here we go..."
"Transfer Odd!"
They all waited, but nothing happened.
"I knew it... It would never work, I was a fool to actually think-" Jeremy was cut short by a glow that started to fill the room.
Jeremy's horn started glowing and Odd started glowing as well. Jeremy looked at his screen and saw that Odd's data card had been selected on the transfer menu.
"IT WORKS!" said Pinkie with a cheer.
"So it does... Ok... Transfer Aelita! Transfer Ulrich!" Aelita, Ulrich, and Odd were all glowing now along with Jeremy's horn.
"Scanner Odd!"
Odd noticed that a circle of light came from his tail and traveled up to his head. The image on Jeremy's screen matched what was happening to Odd as the ring collected data from Odd.
"Transfer Aelita! Transfer Ulrich!"
As expected, the same ring formed around Aelita and Ulrich.
"Ok... Time for the moment of truth... VIRTUALIZATION!"
There was a blinding light that appeared as Odd, Ulrich, and Aelita pixilated and dissappeared.
"...Jeremy?...Jeremy?... JEREMY!"
Jeremy was awoken by the voice that was inside his head, he hadn’t realized that he passed out after the process. The voice he heard was Aelita's.
"Ugh... my head... Oh I'm sorry, Aelita! Is every one alright?" Jeremy asked.
"We're better than alright! We're back to normal!" said Odd as he started doing acrobatics in his human form on Lyoko.
It was true; they were back to normal... They felt bad for saying that it kind of sucked to be a pony but it was how they felt, it was too hard for them to be on all fours.
"Thats great! So... What's it like being back on Lyoko after so long?" inquired Jeremy.
"Well it’s not that different, but there is one thing..." said Odd.
"W-What is it?" asked Jeremy.
"Well, I don’t think there is just one activated tower... I'll have Aelita up-link you a visual." said Odd.
Jeremy and the others could only stare in shock at the screen. All the towers in the desert sector were red.
"B-But how is that possible, even X.A.N.A. couldn't do that before, how is he able to now?" asked Twilight.
A loud noise came from behind them as light blinded their view. It took them all a couple seconds to realize that there was some one standing behind them.
The dark figure spoke, " It's not X.A.N.A."
"W-Who is it then? And who the heck are you?" asked Jeremy.
The figure became a lot clearer now. It was an alicorn, it was a dark blue with a bright yellow mane that seemed to glow like the sun. But that wasnt what suprised them, the cutie mark the alicorn had, was The Eye of X.A.N.A.
"W-WHO THE HECK ARE YOU?!" asked Jeremy as he jumped back in shock.
"I'm surprised you didn’t recognize me Jeremy," said the figure
“As an answer to your earlier question, my name is, Franz Hopper."
