//------------------------------// // *Chapter One* The Princess of Snow // Story: A Shadowed Past // by King Sombra Returns //------------------------------// Papillons (P.O.V) I walked through the center of the town, the Bright green grass crunching under my hooves as the Warm heat from the ever blinding sun shone down on me. The warmth was nice as I stopped in my tracks lifting my head up and feeling the cool gentle breeze, It was a wonderful day one of the best yet. I smiled in my still state trying to enjoy what little pleasures the world gives us. Lulu always called me a hippie because I see the good in everyone and everything. Lu was always one to take action, but on the inside she is really a calm and gentle spirit, not matter what her sister says. I exhaled, just thinking about my friend and her sister was making me slightly tense. Lu has always has a Strong spirit but her sister just wants her to be just like her... Perfect. It isn't fair. But.. I should just let it play out. Luna wouldn't hurt a parasprite, no matter how annoying they are. She would never hurt her own sister, at least I hope so... I open my eyes to the wonderful scene around me, Filly's and colts laughing and playing. It was so cute.. Luna would enjoy it, that is.. if this was at night. It was wrong that no one payed respect to her. They never care... But why should I worry. I walk over to the young filly's and colts, lighting my horn with a playful smile. They looked up at me, even one colt giving me a small bow. I smiled warmly telling him there was no need. I waved my horn, Ice forming over the small lake the crystal blue shimmering of never melting magical ice. I laughed, putting on my skates. teleporting on the Ice as I take deep breaths as the Foals gathered around in amazement. They has seen my Ice show many times. But they never stopped watching. It was wonderful that these young minds would one day make this world even better. I flapped my butterfly thin wings, the icy teal color sparkling in the Sun's rays. I smiles at the young Foals and they smiled back, one small filly trying to get a better look as I started moving on the ice. I twirled and danced on the ice, amazing the small Foals with the performance as I continued with my dance. My Turquoise mane blowing behind me as I light my horn during a twirl in the air, making snow flakes swirl around me before swirling around the Foals. I stop my performance, feeling slightly tired but filled with joy from helping entertain the young Foals. I skid over to the side, opening the gate to allow the children to enter the Ice rink letting them play. I smile feeling nice and warm inside as I look to the mountains, seeing the sun still shining brightly. I look back to the filly's and colt. One little colt asking a young mare to Dance with him as she blushed nodding her head. Young love.. a wonderful thing.. Funny. But wonderful. I closed my eyes enjoying the nice warm breeze of this warm spring afternoon, until I heard a voice. Clean and sharp, I knew I was going to have to deal with him sooner or later. I had just wished it would be the latter. I turned around, the grass crunching beneath my hooves. I was going to have to deal with him anyway, due to our treaty. I just wish I could have five seconds of peace. I looked at taking in his features. He was a fit stallion, tall dark and Handsome most would say. His coat was a soft grey, though his suit covered most of his chest. He had on a stunning black tux with a green bow, the same color as his eyes. As I looked into them, almost getting lost in the sea of dark Green. I blinked snapping my self out of it as I took in his mane color. A Deep limeish green color that looked well with the rest of his masquerade. I looked him in the eyes once more, trying to see what lies of deceit lied in those dark colors. But saw nothing. He was very creative in his appearance as he lifted my hoof from the ground gently, kissing it softly. His warm lips staying on my hoof longer than I would have liked. But he was always a gentlecolt, and took pride in it. He stared into my crystal blue eyes giving me a dashing smile, as his eyes glowed a slight green glow. I knew what he was doing, but I couldn't stop him as his spell washed over my mind. I cursed myself for falling in that trap again, would I ever escape him and his deal!? Most likely not. If I knew anything about him, he was persistent. As he took him warm inf in mine, leading me off to his carriage. To others it would look like a Dashing stallion taking his Marefriend to a nice dinner or a movie. But even though I was in a trance. I knew what he was planning, in a way. No.. not really. I was stuck in his web, and there was no way to get out at the moment. All I had to do was play nice and keep my focus on getting rid of this spell. Until then. Who knows... Hours had to have passed by the time we got to our location. I looked up at the dark palace, the twists and turns just as I remember them in the dark castle. Gloomy dark ominous clouds covered the sky. It was Dusk, the sun was setting and the moon would be up soon. I just hoped Lulu wouldn't worry. I felt his hoof on my shoulder as he walked in front of me, staring into my eyes and lifting the spell. The green quickly faded away as I shook my head, trying to clear everything up. He put his hoof under my chin and looked me in the eyes smirking. I looked back glaring, I should slap you right now. I continued glaring at him as his appearance changed. A ring of Green fire surrounded him as his true form showed through. His mane was now a deep tourquste a deeper shade than mine, his coat was now a very dark grey almost black, his eyes changed having a slit draconic pupil instead of his soft green eyes I saw earlyer. his suit still remained on his form though, the holes in his legs coverd up by the soft fabric. This was the Changeling King.
