A portal opened downwards and the gang fell to the ground. Rainbow Dash had a headache from crashing down. "Where are we?", she asked. She looked around an opened her eyes wide. The whole group was on nothing but a small piece of floating land. "WE ARE ON A FLOATING PIECE OF LAND!" She panicked as she jumped into Pinkie's arms. "OPEN UP THE PORTAL, I WANT TO GO HOME!"
"I don't have that key.", Thorax said.
"THEN MAKE A PORTAL OUT OF MAGIC!", Rainbow said.
"There's no spell to make a portal.", Trixie said.
Twilight looked across the clear space in the sky and found a ginormous sky island. "Hey, look, there's a sky island up ahead.", she said.
"We can fly across to there.", Thorax said.
"Good idea, boy-o.", Spitfire said.
Spike hopped on Thorax, Starlight picked up all of the earth ponies and Trixie and Rarity used their magic to pick themselves up as they flew across the sky. Once they made it, they all landed safely.
"Guess that wasn't so bad.", Spike said.
Then, all of sudden, there was a pick Pegasus with a red mane and purple bow. She shook in fear, looking at the mysterious gang. "Don't tell me you flew from that piece of land.", she said.
"Yes, we flew from over there.", Rainbow Dash said.
"Nopony's aloud to fly, it's forbidden.", the pink Pegasus said as she ran off.
"Wait!", Rainbow Dash said as she and her friends chased that Pegasus. "Why is it forbidden?"
They keep running until they lost the Pegasus in a crowd of Pegasus ponies. They saw a huge castle made with lots of diamonds.
"Sweet Celestia, this is beautiful.", Rarity said. "I wonder how many diamonds it took for other ponies to built that."
"And there's a lot of guards that are unicorns.", Twilight said. "I thought this was supposed to be a sky island for Pegasus ponies.
"Can we please stop talking about diamonds and unicorns as guards and focus on what's going on right now?", Trixie asked. "We need to find out why flying is forbidden."
"The blue unicorn is right, we have to focus.", Spitfire said.
Pinkie Pie saw a brown Pegasus with a light brown mane. "Maybe, he knows why.", she said as she pointed at the Pegasus.
"But, who's going to talk to him?", Fluttershy asked.
"I'll talk to him.", Rainbow Dash said. She walked up to the brown Pegasus. "Excuse me."
"Yeah.", the Pegasus said.
"I'm new here.", Rainbow Dash said. "Do you know why flying is forbidden?"
"Well, this island was ruled by Pitch.", the Pegasus said.
"Who's Pitch?", Rainbow Dash asked.
"He's the ruler of this island.", the Pegasus said. "He's a green Pegasus with a lighter green and black mane."
"If you see him, tell him we need help.", Rainbow Dash said.
"Help?", the Pegasus said. "What are you talking about?"
"A punk Pegasus stole a portal key from us and using it cause trouble all over the world.", Rainbow Dash said.
"What's the name of this Pegasus?", the Pegasus said.
"Lightning Dust, she has turquoise fur and a orange wonderbolt mane.", Rainbow Dash said describing the trouble maker.
"What's a wonderbolt?", the Pegasus said.
"That's not important.", Rainbow Dash said. "One last question: Why are unicorns being the guards on this island?"
"Pitch hired them because they can use their magic to catch trouble-makers.", the Pegasus said.
"I guess that explains everything.", Rainbow Dash said. "I never caught your name."
"My name is Bryan.", the Pegasus said.
"I'm Rainbow Dash.", the rainbow Pegasus said. "Nice to meet you." She walked away from the brown Pegasus and back to her friends.
"Did you get anything from him?", Applejack asked.
"Yeah.", Rainbow Dash said. "This island has rules and they were made by a ruler named Pitch."
"What was his name?", Thorax asked.
"His name is Bryan.", Rainbow Dash said.
Everypony was gathered at the front of the castle.
"What's going on over there?", Spike asked.
"We better find out.", Rainbow Dash said.
They went to the crowd of Pegasus ponies and saw the ruler of the island, Pitch. They also saw Lightning Dust with him.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me.", Rainbow Dash said.
"What is it, Darling?", Rarity asked.
"It's Lightning.", Rainbow Dash said. "She's up there."
"Ponies of Pegasus island, I'm sorry to pull you from your duties, but, something urge has caught me.", the ruler said. "A crime is being committed."
The crowd gasped.
"Please remain calm.", the ruler said. "Earlier today, outsiders flew from a small piece of land floating in the sky. And whether the outsiders know it or not, this is a violation of the Pegasus sky island, NO flying."
The crowd started to get angry.
The gang turned around and saw Bryan standing there. "Did you fly over here?", he asked.
"We didn't know it was against the law, we had no other choice but to fly over here.", Rainbow Dash said.
"This pony's nuts.", Starlight said.
Lightning Dust was whispering in the ruler's ear. "Rainbow Dash, where ever you are, come out.", he commanded. "I've been informed of your identity. I appreciate you being ignorant of our laws. But, I will warn you, this sky island for Pegasus ponies is small and I promise if you try to hide, I will find you and there will be consequences."
"I think I might have an idea about getting our way through the castle.", Trixie said.
"By getting arrested?", Spitfire asked with a glare.
"Trixie, what were you thinking?", Starlight asked.
"I'm warning you.", Bryan said. "Don't be fooled by the ruler's lies. I know how to get through the castle in a safe way."
"Here I am, I'm the one who flew over here.", Trixie said out loud.
"TRIXIE, ARE YOU CRAZY?!", Starlight yelled.
"There she is, get her!", the ruler yelled.
Rainbow Dash stood in front of Trixie to stop the guards. "Step away from her!", she commanded. "She didn't do anything wrong."
"Rainbow, why would you do that?", Twilight asked.
"Twilight, trust me.", Rainbow Dash said.
"Thank you, Rainbow Dash, I knew you would have my back now.", Trixie said.
The guards grabbed the gang and brought them forward, except for Pinkie Pie and Spitfire. They went with Bryan. Twilight looked back to find Pinkie and Spitfire, but, they wasn't there anymore. One of the guards pushed the rainbow Pegasus forward. Lightning Dust had an evil smile on her face, she knew this was her victory to get rid of Rainbow Dash.
"So you're Rainbow Dash, huh?", Pitch asked. "What do you have to say for yourself?"
"Look, sir, I don't know what that Pegasus told you, but, I know she's lying. She's saying made-up things so she can get rid of me and my friends.", Rainbow Dash said with a glare.
Lightning Dust chuckled. "I'm so scared, very wounded, Rainbow Dash."
"Hmm. I admire your honesty and stepping forward.", Pitch said. "This should be interesting."
"Follow the ruler.", the guard commanded.
Rainbow Dash and her friends followed the ruler into her castle.
