--- CHAPTER 1 ---

Big clouds of thick, black smoke which illuminated by the fires below them were seen in the skies above Ponyville. Screams were heard from afar, screams of pure terror and fear, the fear of being burned alive in the fires or the fear of the Lord of chaos himself.

Discord turned evil again and he was destroying Ponyville, and after that, all of Equestria.

He was more powerful than ever before, and not because of stronger magic spells, more muscles or servants. No.. because of knowledge.

Since Discord pretended to be 'good’, he had spent a lot of time with Fluttershy. Fluttershy had been trying to teach Discord all kinds of good things like table manners, friendship, and a lot more. But the pretending had a purpose. In all those years of pretending to be good he studied, but not by reading books.

He studied the Mane Six. Their behaviour, interests and their weaknesses. And with that knowledge he grew more powerful than ever before. He knew exactly how to defeat the Mane Six.

So, when they tried to stop him from destroying Ponyville, he knew exactly what to do to fight and win against them.

After a big battle between the Mane Six and the Lord of chaos himself, the Mane Six returned, wounded and defeated by one of their worst enemies.

There was nobody left to save Ponyville from its enemy Discord.

Suddenly, however, three determined fillies ran towards Discord, looking determined and steadfast. It was obvious to tell that they were none other than the Cutie Mark Crusaders. They stopped in front of Discord, fixing him with a glare. That was all they needed to do for Discord to know what the fillies were planning.

“YOU WILL NEVER STOP ME FROM DESTROYING PONYVILLE, AND AFTER THAT, ALL OF EQUESTRIA!” Discord yelled, causing lightning to strike behind him, hoping to scare away these wimpy little fillies. However, the three stood headstrong and weren’t intimidated in the slightest.

“Are you sure about that?” Replied Scootaloo with a determined look on her face.

Discord looked at the three before falling into a fit of laughter. “Do these little fillies really think they can stop me? Oh, don’t make me laugh!”

“We will!” Applebloom replied.

“Applebloom! Sweetie Belle! Distract him while I take him down!” Scootaloo ordered, spreading her small wings.

“Okay Scoots!” The two fillies replied, looking to their friend.

Scootaloo shot up into the sky, pumping her tiny wings as hard as she could. She could see all of Ponyville from this height.

She dived down as fast as she could gaining more speed each second. She streamlined her body as well as she could. She was on the edge of doing something only one Pegasus had done before: a Sonic Rainboom. She gained more and more speed, going faster than she ever did before. The wind was slapping her fur and tearing up her eyes, but she kept going. She was not going to give up.

Suddenly... a bright flash of light appeared. A big, rainbow-colored explosion filled the sky above Ponyville.

Only a couple of moments after that Scootaloo hit Discord in his head. As a result, Discord fell to the ground, seeming unconscious

The Crusaders quickly tied up Discord, making sure he stayed down. From the looks of it, he wasn’t going to wake up for a while.

“Yeah Crusaders! We did it! We stopped Discord from destroying Ponyville!”

A bright flash of light appeared. After it went away, something changed about the Crusaders.

“What the hay just happened?”

“A CUTIEMARK!!!!” Scootaloo replied happily as she looked down at her flank. The other two did too.

“WE ALL GOT OUR CUTIEMARKS!!!” They all screamed in happiness, bouncing.

“Scootaloo?” A soft distant voice called.

“Scootaloo?!?” The raspy voice became louder.

Bright light entered the room of the sleeping filly. It was a small room with only a bed, a desk, and a closet. On the desk were a couple of pictures, all in gold coloured frames. Some of the pictures showed Scootaloo with her friends, but there was one special picture in the middle of all the pictures. It showed Scootaloo hugging her big sister, Rainbow Dash.

Scootaloo’s life had changed completely when Rainbow Dash adopted her as her little sister. She finally had somepony to look over her, someone who really cared about her.

The sun shined in through the windows, beaming on Scootaloo’s face. The weather seemed very nice outside; perfect weather for some flying practice.

Scootaloo slowly opened her eyes.

“Ahww… Way too early...”

The door slammed open, and a cyan Pegasus with a rainbow mane stepped into the room.

The second you took a look at Rainbow Dash, you could see she was a real athlete. She had a really good looking muscular body, and she trained hard to keep her body in such a good shape.

Everybody saw her as the best flyer in Equestria, but that wasn't always a good thing.

If your sister is the best flyer in Equestria then people expect a lot from you, but that was the problem. Scootaloo still couldn't fly, but Rainbow spent a lot of time teaching flight to her little sister.

“Come on sleepy head! The weather is perfect for some flying practice!” Dash yelled, pointing a hoof outside.

“Ahww, what time is it?” Scootaloo asked, her voice tired.

“It’s time to get out of your bed and do some practicing!” Dash replied, a smirk climbing her face.

“Okay… I'm coming….”

With a sleepy face she stepped out of her bed. Still thinking about the dream she had, thinking to herself while looking at her still empty flank “wouldn't it be awesome to have a cutiemark?”

“Scootaloo!!! I'm waiting for you”

Scootaloo spread her wings and stretched her legs, preparing for the flight practice.

Since scootaloo lived with Rainbow Dash they did flight practice every morning, so it was just like the usual routine.

She walked towards her room door, walking past her desk she took a glance at the big picture in the middle, just like she always did. It showed her and her big sister Rainbow Dash.

The hall was like a big Wonderbolts museum. Rainbow Dash had everything Wonderbolt related you could ever think of.

At the end of the hall was a big glass cabinet. It contained all kind of things. Tickets to the first Wonderbolt show Rainbow ever visited, flying goggles which used to be Spitfire’s, and a small, golden badge in the shape of a lightning bolt. Rainbow had got it as a gift when she saved Soarin, Misty, and Spitfire when they tried to save Rarity during the Best Young Flyer competition.

That day started out as a normal flying competition, but eventually, Rainbow Dash saved Rarity and three Wonderbolts, winning the competition.

All the Wonderbolts knew Rainbow Dash, not only as a great flyer but also as their biggest fan. There wasn't one event they ever attended without seeing Rainbow Dash. The flying goggles used to be Spitfire’s, but Spitfire decided to give it to their biggest fan.

Just like the golden badge and the flying goggles, all of the items in that glass cabinet had a great story behind them.

The walls in the hall were filled with posters of the Wonderbolts and pictures of Rainbow and Scootaloo.

It was impressive how big of a Wonderbolt fan Dash was. Her dream is to become a Wonderbolt one day and fly with her idols. She would do anything to become a Wonderbolt. There wasn't any Wonderbolts show Dash ever missed, even when she was sick she would still go out to see a performance.

Scootaloo walked past all the posters, pictures and Wonderbolt objects, thinking about being able to fly as well as a Wonderbolt. Feeling the wind through her coat and mane, flying at extreme speeds and performing very precise flying manoeuvres, and all the fame and huge crowds who are all there for her.

Scootaloo has dreamed many times of flying with her sister and performing amazing stunts of which even the Wonderbolts would be amazed by.

But that all was just a thought for now.
