After their final battle with the Syndicate, the heroes returned to Tails's workshop to conclude their adventure.
"Okay, with Dr. Eggman behind bars, and the rest of his pals under your watch, I guess this is the part where we say good-bye," Sonic commented.
Tails walked forward and handed the heroes some telephone-like devices, "But just to be safe, take these Sega Universal Communicators with you!" Tails advised. "That way, if anything crazy like this ever happens again, we can work together again to resolve it!"
"Thanks again, Tails!" Rainbow smiled. "If you're ever in Ponyville, be sure to look us up!"
Meanwhile, Spike had finished writing a scroll, "There! That's done it!" He concluded.
"Alright!" Twilight smiled, feeling pleased. "Now I gotta turn this in to Princess Celestia, before the day's over. Don't want to get demoted to magic Kindergarten, or get banished to the moon if I turn this in late."
Spyro and Sparx were shocked and confused, "She'd do that to you, even after you saved her life?" Spyro asked.
"Nah, not really," Spike replied. "Trust me, it could've been worse. I've seen it."
"We've seen it, Spike," Rainbow reminded. "All the more reason why we need to remind Egghead here on not to overthink everything. We don't want to have a repeat of that 'Want-It-Need-It Spell' fiasco in Ponyville." With that, Spike and Rainbow Dash chuckled, while Twilight scowled, face blushing.
"Anyway," Twilight began. "If we're all done here, we should probably be going. Good-bye everyone!"
"Bye!" Rainbow and Spike waved, ready to take their leave, when Spyro stopped them.
"Oh, and Twilight," Spyro spoke. "Here's some Traptanium crystals to begin your study of Skyland's magic. And a little something to remember me and Sparx by."
"Really?" Twilight smiled, levitating the crystal up close. "Wow, thanks Spyro! I can already feel the magic of your world, pulsing off of this crystal! I can just taste it already!"
"Just one question," Rainbow began. "Kaos's isn't in this one. Is he?"
"Nope, he's in this one." Sparx answered, holding out a black crystal. "Well, loved to stick around and chat over some eggnogs, and what nots. But we gotta go!"
"Yep. So many bad guys, so many to fry," Spyro said, before he, Sparx, the ponies, and Spike, disappeared into the portal, leaving Mario and Luigi to say their farewells with Sonic and Tails.
"Well Mario," Sonic began. "It's great to see ya again. But don't think this is good-bye forever."
"Yeah, we'll see you and everyone else again, in the next Olympic game," Tails added.
"Thank-a you so-a much for-a saving us the-a trouble of sending Bowser-a back-a home," Luigi thanked. "Hopefully, he-a won't-a be a trouble for us, again."
"Just-a one-a more-a thing," Mario said, as he walked up to Sonic, and honked the hedgehog's nose.
"Ow!" Sonic yelled. "What was that for?!"
"For-a ripping my mustache off!" Mario replied.
"Hey! I said I was sorry!"
"Apology not-a accepted!"
"Oh yeah?! Well in the next olympic! We'll settle this once and for all, pizza breath!"
"You're on, chili dog mouse!" Before Sonic could grab Mario, the jump man made a quick dash into the portal, and disappeared out of sight.
Luigi and Tails both shook their heads at their brothers' interactions before they shook hands together.
"Well, see ya Luigi," Tails smiled.
"See ya later-a, Tails!" Luigi replied, as he got up on Yoshi, and rode off into the portal, with Polterpup following.
After that, Sonic and Tails both plopped down on a couch, breathing heavy sigh of relief.
"Well, glad it's finally over," Sonic sighed. "So, Tails. What should we do now?"
Before Tails could reply, both boys' stomachs growled, "Whoa, all of that adventure's made me hungry," Tails replied. "Let's go grab something to eat."
"Okay," Sonic replied. "Say, ya in the mood for chili dogs? My treat!"
