People who are sick are to be reported to nearby hospitals or any medical facility of any kind immediately! Any people who are not infected are urged to not drink from any outlets except from bottled containers. The Special Forces are currently testing for any terminal effects and are working to try and find a cure as quickly as possible. *Location, Relic Hunters’ headquarters, medical wing* Almost all the Tenno laid in medical beds as Trinity ran around with Excalibur, Ember, Volt, Mirage and Ash ran around trying to control the symptoms that their entire team had. Their temperatures were enough to almost match Ember. Rashes broke out in parts of their bodies as their breathing was ragged and uneasy. “Excalibur we need to find the cause of this outbreak or else none of them will get better,” Trinity said calmly as Excalibur shook his head and sighed “I know but until Ordis finishes the scan we can’t do much else,” Excalibur responded as Nekros came on the mic “Found the problem,” He started as he brought up a map in their room as a red light blinked in a massive forest “It’s coming from the Everfree and surprise, surprise it’s a Warframe signature,” “(Saryn)…” Ember spoke calmly as we all turned to her “She’s got control over toxicans so it must be her doing as she can infect water supplies,” “But also cure them as shown on out Earth,” Volt added as everyone turned to look at him “What?!” He asked angrily “Right then, Trinity, Ash, Mirage and Volt you 4 go and tag her, me and the non-infected will try to keep their symptoms down,” Excalibur ordered as the others prepared to leave but Trinity asked “But won’t I be needed here? I mean I’m no fighter, I’m a healer, the medic, nothing more,” She spoke in a rather sad tone as Ember placed a hand on her shoulder and smirked “Yea but you’re caring and calm unlike some I know, so you have the best shot of bringing Saryn out of this,” Ember explained as Trinity smiled brightly and nodded as she saw Excalibur’s smirk *BLAST* “AAHH FUCK MY EYES!!!” Excalibur screamed as Ember blew the flame off her finger as Excalibur dunked his head in water “Asshole,” Ember bluntly stated *Location, Everfree Forest, Entrance* Ash, Volt and Mirage all followed Trinity as they began to traverse the almost jungle like forest as the sounds of animals was all but none, mostly likely the poison from the water “It’s so dead, not even the leaves are blowing in the wind, nothing…” Trinity spoke softly as Ash said calmly as he placed a hand on a tree “The winds howl in rage, but not a sound it makes, a whisper to life,” Ash spoke as he looked around and finally heard what sounded like a stream “Hey, Ashy whatchya find?” Mirage asked as she spun her (Phage) in her hand He pointed off into the forest as the others gathered and soon heard the water as they followed Ash through the dense forest. After only 5 minutes of walking they came up to a massive clearing as the light shined through. The only downside was. “Such life, unaware of its loss, but remains still,” Ash spoke as he and the rest looked around the dead grass as it looked like a grave The water was a murky-green as the poison ran down the river and into the dense forest ahead. “The dam is about a mile down so that explains how it got through, quite a shock really,” Volt said as he felt them all glare at him as he raised his hands in defence “Sorry, force of habit,” “Anyways we should try to look for any traces of Saryn or else no one gets new organs for the next chapter!” Mirage said in a very childish-serious voice “Wait what?” Ash questioned as she looked towards the sky “They know, hush now, we will find the toxy-frame,” Mirage spoke quietly as the others looked at each other before shrugging As they looked around for any signs of the Tenno, Volt checked the pool of toxic water before groaning and turning around with his arms behind his neck. “Look she’s not here! Don’t you all think she would be further upstream?” Volt asked as they all looked at him and brought out their weapons “What?” “Vo-Volt you may want to move,” Trinity said as she backed up slowly “Yes, best use your quick legs and move,” Ash warned as he pointed with a Fang as Volt turned slowly until he was face to face with Saryn He laughed worryingly as he saw her point a (Cernos Mutalist) in his face and she shot him flying into a tree as his head spun in circles. “Ok let’s show her what we got!” Mirage shouted happily as she fired her Cernos at them as they dispersed Mirage ducked behind a log as she grabbed her (Quanta) and began to fire a cascade of electric charges at Saryn as she quickly jumped to avoid them and fired back with precision to knock a tree down behind Mirage as it fell on top of her. Trinity quickly ran over to try and help as more arrows shot towards them as Ash began to deflect the arrows with his Fangs. “Ash, this isn’t good, the arrows are poisonous and they’ve already effected Mirage!” Trinity shouted in fear as Mirage laughed as she spun her finger around in the air “Such deadly force, but no calmness in her actions, only rage,” Ash thought as he saw Volt sneak around amongst the tree line as he pointed at the river “But calmness can only lead one to a crippling defeat,” Ash kept defecting the arrows as he felt his limbs stiffening as he saw Saryn stop firing as she waited. “It seems the clock ticks, but not a sound has dawned,” Ash thought as he tried to think of a way out of this mess as a memory replayed in his head *Location, Relic Hunters’ Headquarters, Training Room* Ash fell backwards as his body tumbled across the floor as he slowly got back to his feet to face Valkyr as she closed her Venka and bent down to grab Ash’s Fangs. “No matter the strikes, no matter the skill, I cannot pass you,” Ash said between breaths as Valkyr unequipped her Warframe as Ash did the same “Sometimes fighting head on isn’t the answer, I should know as I can’t always rely on my skills,” Valkyr said calmly as she handed the Fangs back to Ash with a smile “Sometimes the best way to win a fight is to give your friends the advantage instead of yourself,” “Offering oneself to others benefits?” Ash answered with a steely gaze as Valkyr put a finger to her chin “Yea I guess that’s one way to put it,” She concluded…. “Give your friends the advantage,” Ash mumbled slightly as he looked back at Trinity and then towards Volt and then back a Saryn as she held her bow to his head as he kneeled “I am a ghost amidst the combat, ready to strike,” Ash said as he looked up at Saryn as he felt the poison taking effect before leaping to his feet “BLADE STORM!!!” Saryn fired her bow but hit nothing but the dirt as Ash disappeared and soon reappeared behind Saryn as he cross-slashed her back causing her to fall forward into Trinity’s Orthos as the blade connected with her chin sending her flying backwards. Ash then reappeared and drop-kicked her back into the river as she tried to climb back out but noticed Volt standing by the edge. “This will be a SHOCK!” he yelled happily as he fired an electrical beam into the water making Saryn’s body convulse with pain as the chip exploded into dust “game!” Volt started “Set!” Trinity added “Match!” Ash finished “Yay…” Mirage mumbled as they all laughed and noticed Saryn beginning to move as they all drew their weapons but saw her holster her bow “That was very painful,” She moaned as she rubbed her back “Sorry, I had no choice,” Ash apologized as she waved a hand “Na you did what was necessary so no harm, no foul,” she responded before facing the river and sighed “This is all my fault, maybe if I didn’t work alone this won’t have happened,” Ash walked up as he felt the poison ware off and rested a hand on Saryn’s shoulder as she froze slightly. “You had no power, no will, no control, you are not at fault,” Ash spoke determinedly as she nodded and kneeled and began to feed her void power into the river After only seconds the river began to shine a clear blue as the land around it soon turned back into its natural green, Saryn then turned around to face the rest. “Everyone who was effected will soon feel better it will just take a while longer for people infected the earliest,” Saryn explained as she rubbed the back of her neck “Also I was wondering if I could… come with you guys, I don’t have anywhere else to go,” “Sure we won’t mind, right guys?” Volt piped up as the others nodded “She would be a valiant member, it would be wrong to leave her here,” Ash added as she smiled beneath her helmet “I would like to know what kind of medicines she has that could be helpful,” Trinity added happily “I could use another target Hehehe…” Mirage spoke menacingly “What do you say, are you in?” Volt asked as Ash held out a Relic Hunter Emblem and she slowly reached over and grabbed it She then unequipped her armour, her eyes were a lime green and her hair was the same as it hung in a ponytail in different shades as she smiled happily. “Yea, I’m in and thank you,” She spoke feeling happier than ever as Ash deactivated his own and gave her a small smile “Good to have another ally,” He said holding out his hand as she shook it feeling even happier for some reason before something dawned on her “Oh yea I almost forgot,” She spoke in surprise before walking up to Volt and kicking him in between the legs as he fell to the ground in pain “I hope you don’t try to shock me again, ok?!” She spoke innocently as he nodded rapidly “Thanks, right now let’s move out!” “You heard the lady lets return and report in,” Ash spoke sharply as they all nodded as he began to drag Volt behind him but his steely gaze returned as he remembered seeing something in the shadows “I hope you enjoyed the show, because you can’t hide from me,” Ash thought as he glanced around the forest, waiting for the spectator to return… To Be Continued… The hardest prison to escape Is your own mind That can crush your faith Mag/Nyx
