A Flash of lightning

"Hey Alfie where’s my insignia?" I shouted up to my brother. Right I should probably introduce myself. I’m Jack Donald I’m 15 but tonight I’m the Flash.

Perhaps I should explain me, my brother and my friends are going to a Halloween party. We are going with a theme, speedsters from The Flash show and comics. We had a raffle of who would wear what costume and aren’t supposed to tell anyone who we got until we see them tonight. Personally I hope that my girlfriend Amy Burns got Jesse Quick as I found her CW costume sexy. I do pity whoever got CW Savitar as it’s going to be a bitch to get right.

“It’s on the kitchen table.” He shouts back as he comes down the stairs in what I first thought was a Reverse Flash costume but then I saw the open top of the suit mask and recognised it as the Kid Flash costume which I suppose suits him as he is two years younger than me and shorter than me.

“Thanks Kid.” I said getting into character ‘Why didn’t I think of that.’ I asked myself in my head.

“We’re going to be late if you don’t hurry up Flash!” he said following my lead at getting into character.

“Don’t worry about it we’ll be there in a flash.” I say getting a groan from him. I checked the clock and see he’s right and say “but I have been wrong before.”

You see I have the same bad habit as Barry Allen, I’m always late. Anyway we start to run towards where the party is taking place when a thunder storm started which is definitely odd as there hadn’t been one forecast. Then again the weather forecast is more of tell you a weather and hope it’s right especially in Northern Ireland. The weather here is less predictable than the Everfree forest. Yes I am a Brony and while he doesn’t understand it Alfie doesn’t care.

As we were running I suddenly see a bright light flash and feel pain then darkness
