//------------------------------// // Prologue: The angel appears // Story: Thunderstorm's Marble // by Silver Topaz //------------------------------// The sky was clear in Canterlot. As people went about their business. It was even more busy in Canterlot High, as students were enjoying the lunch period. A time were they could relax, take a break, and most importantly talk to their friends. Thunderstorm however preferred doing something else. The boy sat on the roof of the school. He was the typical high school student, he was 17 enjoying his senior year, he had orange skin, silver colored eyes, and long black hair with a gray streak running down the middle that stopped on his shoulders, which he kept in a ponytail style. He was wearing the new Canterlot High uniform, which for some reason they decided to get. He heard it was because of a complain from some parents. But he really didn't care. The uniform was obviously designed after the Crystal Prep uniform, the colors were just changed. Instead of purple it was all white. Except for a black tie and black shoes, it made Thunderstorm feel like he was part of some sort of army. He let out a sigh, a sign of how bored he was. Many students passed the lunch time with their friends he didn't. Not because he couldn't, but because he didn't want to. He already had friends in the past, and as time went on they started drifting apart. Until eventually they stopped talking. Thunderstorm walked to the ledge of the roof admiring the view. "It sure looks nice" he thought to himself. However things didn't remain quite. "Hello there." Came a voice from behind him. Thunderstorm turned to see no one. He started searching however since he was sure he heard something. He looked for a bit, but he didn't find anything. He decided to stop searching and just sit back down. Although he was sure he heard something. "Hi." Again he heard something, looking around to again find nothing. Which left Thunderstorm to believe someone was messing with him. He looked around on all directions, but he didn't see anyone. He started thinking who could it be, until his mind settled on two candidates, Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie. Two students that while being nice, still enjoyed a few pranks here and there. However Thunderstorm wasn't in the mood to play games. In a angry voice he shouted "whoever it is you better come out now." Thunderstorm finished looking around, waiting for the person to step out and revealed themselves. "I am out silly." The voice again spoke. Thunderstorm again looked around but he found nothing. He heard a laugh and some words "look up Thunderstorm." Thunderstorm did what he was told and he immediately gasped. Floating above him was a person, a person that he had seen before. Cadance floated in the air above Thunderstorm. Who at the time just stared at her. She laughed a little bit, thinking that Thunderstorm would be used to this by now, he did attend Canterlot High after all. After a while she decided to speak "hi Thunderstorm." Thunderstorm just stared at her. He thought only Twilight and her friends had magic, but here he was looking up at Cadance. Who just now decided to land in front of him. She smiled lovingly at Thunderstorm, who could only say one word to her. "How?" "It's a long story." "I have some time." Thunderstorm responded. At this point his curiosity taking a hold of him. Cadance sighed and went through everything. After the story was done Thunderstorm had so many questions going through his mind. Cadance had magic, not only that but it was love magic. She practically had it her entire life which didn't make sense, since it didn't explain were it came from. More importantly why her and why love out of all things. Whit this Thunderstorm had to ask the only logical question he could think of. "Does this make you Cupid." Cadance laughed at this thinking it was a joke, but she decided to answer it anyway. "You could say that, I'm definitely an angel of love." She finished that sentence with a wink. Which made Thunderstorm feel uncomfortable. "Okay why are you here then." Cadance stood up and walked towards Thunderstorm. Until they were face to face. "Because silly it's your time." "What?" Was all Thunderstorm could say. After that Cadance booped him. "Thunderstorm come on, you are a smart guy you can figure it out." Thunderstorm just looked at her whit a face that told Cadance that it was better if she just got to the point. Cadance sighed, "Thunderstorm I'm here to help you find your love, you know the love of your life, the girl you will spend your entire life with yeah I'm here to do that." "So you're here to hook me up." Cadance rolled her eyes. Clearly liking her choice of words better. She nodded all the same however. Thunderstorm looked at his watch. "Thanks but no thanks, I'm not interested in romance." Thunderstorm said in a calm voice, as he walked to the door to get off the roof, and opened it. However it immediately closed as Thunderstorm noticed a magical aura surrounding the door. "Hey what...." Thunderstorm didn't finished as he looked back at Cadance and saw fury in her eyes. "Do you have any idea how many times I have heard that line!" Thunderstorm shook in fear. Her happy demeanor was replaced by an angry one. She walked towards Thunderstorm, who didn't dare to move a muscle, afraid of what would happen. She now stood in front of him and whispered something in his ear "gotcha." After that she started laughing. "It's not funny." Thunderstorm replied, anger filling his voice. "Maybe not to you, you should have seen the look on your face.." Cadance said while laughing. Thunderstorm looked at his watch again, and realized the bell was going to ring soon. He also knew that Cadance wasn't going to let him leave, so he just decided to go along. "So you are here to help me find a girlfriend." "Exactly." Cadance stopped laughing and went back to being herself. Thunderstorm sighed, "okay fine so how do I know who it is." "Easy with this." Cadance said while holding something in her hand. Thunderstorm looked at it he saw that it was a silver necklace, with a pink gem in the form of a heart in the middle. Cadance flew and landed in front of Thunderstorm, putting the necklace in his hand. "Just ask it to show you the one, after that it's all up to you to get the girl." Thunderstorm did what he was told and asked the necklace to show him the one. He was surprised that the necklace actually showed him something. Thunderstorm let out a gasp when he realized who it was. "Who is it?" Cadance said clearly curious. "It's Marble Pie." Thunderstorm replied. Cadance raised an eyebrow, and decided to look at the necklace. In the necklace was a picture of a girl. She had turquoise gray skin, violet color eyes, and long dark cyan gray hair with spring green streaks. She was wearing the female uniform, which like the males uniform was basically the female Crystal Prep uniform just white. Thunderstorm just stood there, whit a terrified look on his face. "It's something wrong Thunderstorm." Thunderstorm quickly shook his head, he didn't want to talk about his past. Especially since Marble was a big part of it. "Why her out of all the girls in the school why her." Thunderstorm though to himself. Cadance knew he was hiding something, but she didn't want to push it. Especially since she needed to get back to Crystal Prep. She didn't want to blow her cover. But before she left she needed to tell Thunderstorm something. "So Thunderstorm I need to tell you something." Thunderstorm broke out of his thoughts, to hear what Cadance had to say. "Well the necklace comes with a price." "What?" "Well you see." Cadance said really nervous about finishing the sentence. She always hated using the necklace, but it was the fastest way to get things started. "Thunderstorm if you don't get Marble to say yes to being your girlfriend by the end of the school year, well you will never be able to find love ever." Cadance finished as she started floating away. She stopped for a second "keep the necklace that way we can talk bye." With that Cadance was gone. Thunderstorm stood there letting it all sink in. Not only did he needed to make Marble fall in love with him, but he needed to do it before the end of the school year. He didn't even know what to do, or where to start. He had known Marble for so long and they were friends before, but could he really get her to like him romantically. Well he didn't have much of a choice. Thunderstorm started thinking about a plan. Marble was a very shy girl, they were friends before so he had that going for him, but they drifted apart. Okay first he needed to rekindle his friendship with Marble and then he would worry about the whole love thing. Thunderstorm was actually excited for once, he really did like Marble. Thunderstorm sighed and started making his way to the door. He was feeling mix of excitement and anger. But he knew one thing, this year was going to be an exciting year. He also knew never to trust Cadance again. He put the necklace in his pocket and started making his way downstairs, as the bell started ringing.
