//------------------------------// // Finding a Purpose // Story: A New Destiny // by Pen Dragon //------------------------------// Finding a Purpose After leaving the bakery I couldn't help but wonder... How was she able to see me? Or at least know I was there? It didn't make any sense and if there's one thing I dislike it's not understanding something, but that would have to wait until I've gotten use to the town first and see if it's a good place to stay. Back at the Displaced it was always depressing and fights would always break out among the four regions when things didn't go someone's way. True we've maintained peace with one another, but I began to realize that unlike my world, this one was perfect. I felt at peace and I was going to do everything in my power to prevent the Elder Siblings from harming this world or it's inhabitants. A part of me still had a hard time believing that they would consider killing me, just because I left the that hell hole. Of course they wouldn't want anyone wanting to discover their precious realm. In the past we made a vow to return home, but it seems that power had gotten to all of them and have no reason to return to the lives we once had on Earth. It was sad and disappointing that they would chose power over family and friends. It was the one thing I cared about the most in life, but my friends and family are gone, all because of this stupid curse I was given. I shouldn't have opened that blasted email! Because of me she's gone.... I could only dig my claws into the ground as I felt a single tear drip from my cheek, I was alone in this world and everyone I knew was either gone or corrupted by power. All I wanted was to return home, or even find peace, but now I may have a chance to live in peace. Just like she wanted me to do. Rest in peace my dear sister... I noticed that the sun was beginning to set and the ponies began saying their goodbyes to each other as they returned to their homes for the evening. I figured that it was time for me to return too the Clubhouse and get some rest. But I began to doubt that since those little fillies still had questions about my world. I don't blame them of course, all children are curious of the unknown and that's what I also love about children. They are willing to learn more. It didn't take long for me to arrive at the clubhouse, and when I did I dropped my invisibility and hopped on top of the little clubhouse. It seemed like there wasn't anyone inside so I figured that the little fillies had gone home. Meaning that I could get a quiet night sleep after all. Once I entered I headed towards the center of the room and laid down like I did previously. But right as I was about to close my eyes I began to here whispering in the dark and suddenly the lights turned on and heard a battle cry "Get em," Before I knew it I was under attack by three adorable little fillies as they giggled as the pounced on me. I couldn't help but smile as they hopped up and down on my stomach. Did it hurt, just a little, but it was still adorable nonetheless. "We totally surprised you didn't we?" Scootaloo said, laying on my back. "You indeed have, young ones," I answered, with a light chuckle. "See guys I told you it would work!" Sweetie declared, as she began to pull out three sleeping bags from the corner. "I guess ya'll we're right Sweetie," Applebloom agreed as she tried to calm the giggles she still had in her. These little fillies are trying to kill me with cuteness. I can't imagine a better way to die... hehehe. "So do you three mind telling me why your all still up? I would have thought you would have all gone home?" I asked, but what they said next was something I hadn't expected. "We all were all planning a sleepover for a week now and we didn't know where to have it, but than when Applebloom mentioned that you were sleeping alone. We thought we could give you some company," Scootaloo replied. "Yeah even though ya'll are a stranger, we thought that you would get lonely here at the clubhouse by yourself," Applebloom added. "So our solution was to stay with you for the night," Sweetie also added, but I wondered why they would do such a thing for someone like me? "Not that I don't mind, but why did you plan this?" I asked, politely. "Because nopony should eva' be alone, even if ya'll are an alien," Applebloom said, as she slipped into her sleeping bag and laid next to me. 'Sigh' "Yeah we also thought it would be cool for you to join our club, The Cutie Mark Crusaders!!" Scootaloo shouted, causing me to raise an eyebrow. "It's what we call ourselves as we help ponies find their purpose," Sweetie Belle added. Mentioning that was something I truly admired in a person... or pony in this case. Something the Displaced used to be, before it all withered away into the past. But I'm trying not to focus on that, since I was with children after all. "I find that very admirable little ones, and helping others find their place in this world is something I also admire. You girls are going to do great things someday," I said to them as they gasped with joy and I meant every word it. "You really think so?" Sweetie asked. "I know so Sweetie Belle," I answered, giving a slight grin. "Well, Mister Suicune, what do ya'll plan on doin?" Applebloom asked. I think she asked me this before, but even after exploring the town, I still couldn't think of what I wanted to do here in Equestria? I guess I also needed to help finding a place here. "Well I don't know yet, but I'm sure I'll find my purpose someday," I answered, patting Applebloom on the head gently, as she snuggled close to me, giving a loud yawn. I could only smile at the tired fillies. "I think it's time for all of you to rest now," "But we're....*Yawn* Tired yet," Scootaloo said, curling up as she slowly fell asleep on my back. "Sleep well little Scootaloo..." I soon turned towards Sweetie Belle who looked at me with curiosity. "Is there something wrong Sweetie Belle?" "No, but I was just curious, do you have a family?" she asked me, I could only look away as I felt a bit of anger rise within me. "No... Sweetie... I don't....not anymore," I answered, as I laid my head down against the floor, trying to suppress my tears and memories. It hurt just thinking about my old friends and loved ones. "What happened?" she whispered to me. "That is a story for another time little one, it would be best if you got some rest for the day tomorrow," I said, closing my eyes, trying to fall asleep until "We could be your family, Mister Suicune," "I'm flattered, but thank you Sweetie Belle, but we've just met and it will take sometime for me to consider your offer," I whispered to her. "Oh, okay than, well good night Mister Suicune," "Good night little one," I replied In the realm of the Displaced, Lord Ozai and Elysium had met in privately to discuss matters on the former Elder Sibling Lord Suicune. It had been a day since he abandoned them and knowing that the secret of their world was put in jeopardy because of some fool. "I think it's time we take matters into our own hands, Ozai," Elysium offered. "I agree, I beginning to question Lord Yasha's authority and with the release of the Warden I think it's time I send in some warriors of mine to try and take care of our problem," Ozai suggested. "Who'd you have in mind?" she asked. "These two have been aching for a chance to prove that they're worthy of being a member of the Elder Siblings and I think that this is the perfect opportunity to test them," "Hmm...very well I guess I can trust you, but still we'll need the Wardens help if we're going to make this happen," she added as she looked at the profiles of the two he suggested. "Trust me Monster X and Beast King can get the job done," Ozai said as an evil smirk appeared across his face. "Very well than, but I shall also be sending in my warriors, just in case yours so happen to fail their objective," She added, smiling wickedly.
