The clouds were dark and the wind was howling while the full moon loomed high in the night sky as the sounds of distant thunderclaps shattered the silence of the night soon slowly panning towards a lone victorian mansion on the hill as tombstones lined the pathway towards the gate, slowly walking up the pathway with the distant howls of a lone wolf howling towards the moon on a distant hill.
Slowly walking towards the mansion it began to show it’s age of old as the boarded porch was coming undone and the roof was in shambles as the walls were ready to collapse, but stood beyond it all was a lone mahogany door with a single golden lion head knocker, gently gripping the handle soon a few good slams of metal on wood could be heard as the door slowly opened, slow whines and creaks of metal echoed through the abandoned home of yesteryear.
The halls of the mansion were covered in dust and cobwebs as the furniture was already decayed though something caught your attention, it was footsteps, someone else was in the mansion and they were walking down stairs. Slowly walking through the halls the time and age of the home was beginning to decay, while the paint and wall paper was peeling and chipping away with time as small paintings of people could be seen, however you could swear they were staring right back at you or even following everywhere you went as faint giggling could be heard in the distance.
Soon beginning to find your bearings began to follow the giggles leading to the basement of the mansion, alarm bells began to scream in your head however soon pushing them to the side, you walk down the stairs, slowly traversing the rickety staircase while it was soon illuminated by candle light as the candlesticks were slowly melting away as the wick burned bright, dancing in the darkness when the giggling started to get closer.
At the end of the stairs was what looked to be a locked wooden door from yesteryear that looked more at home in a dungeon, soon slowly and gently gripping the handle you give it a hard tug as the creaking of metal and wood could be heard with the sound of wood grinding across the stone floor and walls to reveal a large room, filled with decaying bookcases, cobwebs and candles that were slowly melting by the flickering flame while the bookcases and shelves were filled with books.
Soon leading up to a lone table with a chair behind it, turned around facing away as the giggling was getting closer and closer to you. Slowly walking you soon reach the table while the giggling could be heard from it soon slowly turning around was a decrepit women, with pink skin and grayed and falling out hair as her skin was almost like leather and strung straight to her bones as she wore a dark brown cloak and gave off a sickening cackle
“Well hello there my little pretty…. Visiting an old ghoul on this of all nights?” She had asked and before you could say anything a door opened to reveal a dark blue women wearing dark blue pants and a light green shirt with a light blue apron and had swirly dark pink hair.
“Pinkie pie? What have I told you about decorating the basement?” The women asked as the women now known as Pinkie Pie giggled “Sorry Mrs. Cake, I wanted to tell our friends here a few scary stories.” She said in a sweet tone as Mrs. Cake nodded
“Alright, just make sure to clean up after your done.” She had said closing the door behind her. Pinkie Pie then turned back towards you and cackled terrifyingly going back to her act again “Well my pretties, like I gave as promised, I will tell you all a few chilling tells that will, rattle your bones to the core.” Pinkie had said soon getting up and walking towards a large boiling cauldron soon reaching into her sleeve and pulled out a small pile of dust
“I call this meeting of the Midnight society to begin!” She had said soon throwing the dust into the cauldron as a large cloud of smoke and glitter making you cough until the surrounds around you began to fade to black.
Sweet Apple Acres: the day before halloween…
“It’s that time of the year again HALLOWEEN!!” Pinkie yelled as she and the other Rainbooms were about to start band practice. “Yea….whoo.” Rainbow said unenthusiastically. “Aww come on Dashie, you’re not still mad about what happened last year are you?” Pinkie asked. “Yes I’m still mad, that creep in the Joker costume ruined our entire night.” Rainbow said angrily.
“I have to agree Darling, That guy ruined what was suppose to be a night fun and treats.” Rarity said crossing her arms. “Yea and I’d rather not be part of a life or death situation again.” Applejack said. “Life or death? AJ he shot ice cream at you, I don’t think that counts as a life or death situation.” Sunset said.
“How was I supposed to know it was loaded with ice cream and how would you feel if you had a huge tank locked on to you?” Applejack said narrowing her eyes. “Ok fair point.” Sunset said. “Come on girls, I actually have a plan that all of us will enjoy.” Pinkie said with a smile. The girls all looked at one another before Rarity spoke up.
Pinkie’s smile got even wider and she pulled a flier out of her hair. “Check this out, there’s a haunted house attraction set up in the Griffonstone caves! It's happening tomorrow night and it's free to anyone that shows up!” Pinkie said excitedly as the rest of the group had looks of skepticism and doubt.
“Pinkie, Dear, as much...fun...as that sounds, do you really think that sounds like a good idea?” Rarity said with a hint of uncertainty. “Yeah, last time we someplace with the words ‘haunted’ and ‘free’ we ended nearly peeing ourselves like 5 times.” Rainbow added on, still not fully over what happened last year.
Pinkie’s smile began to fade a bit but she tried to stay positive “Oh come on! It’ll be fun, I mean, look at the poster it looks totally legit. I’m sure tons of people will go!” Pinkie said trying to sway her friend’s minds. “Hmm...we’ll think about it, but only because it clearly means a lot to you, Pinkie.” Sunset said with soft smile.
Over with the guys…
The sound of cannon fire and catapult springs releasing echoed through the farm as a large pumpkin was seen flying through the air, landing hundreds of yards away in nearby field. “Holy crap! Thats got to be almost 300 yards!” Fang said said as he was holding the trigger cord to the catapult.
“Yeah, I'm so glad we decided to enter this contest, nothing says welcome to autumn like shooting pumpkins hundreds of yards.” Mise said chuckling. “So you guys see those fliers appearing around town? The ones advertising that haunted house attraction in the old griffonstone mines?” Eclipse said pulling out a copy of the flier
“Yeah, I saw a few of those by the school and even at Sugarcube Corner, I think it would be pretty neat to check out, could be really fun, I just wish my sisters could come by, but sadly they can’t since they help out the church every Halloween.” Fang had said to the group while Mise nodded in understandment.
“I hear ya man, and that does sound fun. I just hope that gruesome twosome from last year doesn't make an encore appearance.” Mise said as he loaded the catapult again. “Yeah, from what you guys tell me, they gave you quite the scare last year.” Artemis said as Fang nodded
“I heard they were as well, good thing I didn’t move here till about November…. And I thought it was bad where I used to live…. Anyway I think this year will be pretty fun you know?” He said as Mise launched the pumpkin through the air as the measure guy out in the field started running around in a circles as the shadow followed him, eventually landing on him
“410 yards!!” the man shouted as Mise chuckled.
“Oh that never gets old, but yeah I think this is gonna be great. So what are you guys going as?” Mise asked wiping a tear away “Me and Indigo are going as Pan Pizza and Pasta Pete, a great duo that we both like and kind of reminds us of both of us, were like two sides of Rebel Taxi’s mind.” Fang had said while the group looked at him a little odd and slowly nodded
“I don’t know who those are, but nonetheless I like it. Octy is going as the killer bride ghost from Hey Arny! And I'm going as Lord Pain. I even shot a bear...legally...for the costume.” Mise said as Artemis was a bit saddened by Mise's choice but decided to let it slide “Well me and Aria are gonna dress up as Ash and Serena from Pokemon, what about you Eclipse?” Artemis asked.
“Well, I’m going as a Vampire and Midnight is going as Daenerys from Game of Thrones.” Eclipse said as Fang started chuckling “Dracula gon repeat the scrape and lick for dummies that don’t listen, scrape and lick! Lalalalala.” Fang said doing an impression.
The group soon bursted out laughing while the wind began to pick up while the wind soon blew the flyer out of Eclipse's hands “Wait! Come back!” He yelled trying to get the flyer, but it was too late as the wind carried the flyer away while Mise spoke up “It's a flyer not a puppy, plus I have one right here.” Mise said as he pulled out a folded up flyer from his pocket.
The group snickered a little as they watched the flyer fly away “I wonder where the wind will take the flyer.” Artemis had said while the group nodded, the flyer danced in the wind across town, flipping past the powerlines and across the walls of buildings, however the wind soon took a turn making the flyer fly towards the everfree forest.
The flyer flew through the dark clearing and past the mansion, as a few stray bats that Fluttershy normal takes care off had flown away, soon flying deeper into the woods, until it soon stopped under a person’s shoe, soon slowly picking it up the person had spoken in a low, deep tone “What’s this? A Halloween bash in town? Interesting….” The person had said until another voice was heard.
“Mr. Snuggles!? What are you doing?! I want candy!!” The voice had said in a sweet but hungry tone as the person sighed “Alright, Alright we can get some candy later Izzy…. And put on a damn towel for fucks sakes! You're going to catch a damn cold!” The man screamed with a deep blush as the women giggled happily
“You just want to join me in the shower!” She screamed as the man blushed even deeper and facepalmed “Izzy just put on a damn towel…. And go take a shower….” He said until the woman now identified as Izzy spoke up again “Mr. Snuggles! I want to see your 3rd leg Wave keeps talking about!” she said grabbing the man and dragging him with her.
Elsewhere….
In the middle of town Adagio, Sonata and Aria were setting up the stage for the towns bash with the help of the shadow 5 as Aria set down a case of soda “Damn… this stuff is really heavy, but i’m glad everything’s set up…” She said with a small sigh escaping her lips as Indigo nodded “Yeah, hey Aria that reminds me what are you and your sister's going as?” She asked as Aria giggled softly
“Me and Artemis are doing a couples dress up as Ash and Serena from Pokemon, Adagio and Dameon are going as a sailor and a siren, she thought it would be fun and Sonata and Warhawk are going as The lich king and Sylvanas Windrunner, both are from World Of Warcraft.” She had said while Sugarcoat nodded.
“Fascinating, me and Rapid are doing one as well, we're dressing Kirito and Asuna from Sword Art Online.” She had said as Indigo brushed it off “Psh, that’s nice and all but me and Fang are going to ‘kill it’ at the party tomorrow night.” Indigo had said as the girls kept talking and bantering about Halloween tomorrow while a woman with pale skin and charcoal black hair that was tied into a bun with hair sticks with hazel eyes, wearing a dark green hoodie and a dark black skirt with boots, gently picking up a soda off the counter
“E-Excuse me? H-How much are these?” She had asked in a quieter but sweet tone as Soursweet turned to her with a small smile “They are a dollar miss. BUT WE GOT A DAMN CASE FOR ALMOST FIVE BUCKS!” She had said, shouting the last part at the woman making her flinch a little as Adagio walked up to the woman.
“Sorry about Soursweet, she tries to keep it controlled, anyway yes it’s a dollar Miss… Miss, uh?” She asked as the woman sighed a little “Wave, Wavedancer…. Anyway I would just like a few sodas for me and my friends, please….” She had said while Soursweet nodded and grabbed a few sodas from a small cooler while Adagio spoke to the woman now known as Wave “So where are your friends now? If you don’t mind me asking.” Adagio asked trying to make small talk
“Oh, they are getting their costumes ready for tomorrow, we can’t wait for tomorrow, as well it’s me and my boyfriends first Halloween.” She had said while Adagio giggled with a soft smile “That’s sweet, I remember when me and my boyfriend Dameon first Halloween last year, though it was really insane, then again this town is crazy.” She had said while Wave giggled softly as she nodded.
“Trust me, where i'm from, it's pretty crazy too.” She had said while Adagio giggled “Guess it’s insane anywhere nowadays.” Adagio had said when Soursweet set the sodas on the counter “Alright, that will be twelve dollars please. PAY THE WOMEN!” She had said as Wave nodded and gently took out some money from her purse and placed it on the counter as she quickly took the sodas
“Thank you, have a good day!” She said soon running full speed out the door as Adagio looked towards the counter to see small little golden cubes “What the?” She had said while Sugarcoat picked one up “I feel like we just got jipped.” Sugarcoat had said while the group sighed a little “Great, we just lost 12 bucks…. Oh well, that won’t set us back… much really…” Indigo had said while the girls shrugged a little and placed them in the money box.
Time Skip: The next day, around 1:00 P.M.
Over at Pinkie’s house, she was having a massive Halloween bash as some of the group was already there as Mise who was dressed in a dark blue knight chain mail, with black iron boots with black gloves as he had a spiked helm and a dark black cape with a crimson lining, and black belt with a iron mace and kite shield was sitting on the couch with Octavia on one side and Midnight on the other side.
Octavia was wearing a faded white, bloodied, and ragged wedding gown, with zombie makeup on her face and had a bloody axe next to her. Midnight was wearing a long sea glass blue dress with gold embroideries and detailing, a long blonde wig, and a gold waist belt.
“This party is really nice, everyone looks to be having a lot of fun.” Midnight had said as Octavia nodded with a small smile “Yeah! It's so great so everyone enjoying themselves.” Octavia said as she was brushing Mise’s beard.
“Midnight, you mind getting some hairclips and hair ties from Pinkie, I have to braid Mise’s beard for his costume.” Octavia said as Midnight giggled and nodded “Sure Octy, I think Mise would look great with a braided beard, but as well hopefully she has normal ones, or Mise here will be more of a feminine barbarian.” She had said getting up from her seat and walking over to Pinkie while Aria and Artemis dressed like Ash and Serena from Pokemon complete with hair styles as Aria was wearing a wig that made her hair have the right color
“Hey you two, enjoying the party?” Artemis asked as Mise and Octavia nodded “Mhmm! Just putting final touches for Mise. how bout you two? Everything going good?” Octavia said as Artemis nodded “Yeah it’s going great, I plan on taking Aria on a magikarp-et ride.” Artemis said smirking as Aria rolled her eyes “make another joke that bad and i'm going to kick you till your bulb-as-saur…if you catch my drift.” Aria said making another pun as well.
Suddenly an old wooden hatchet flew across the room and embedded itself in the wall “Booo! You suck!” The voice said as they turned to see Fang dressed as Rebel Taxi’s Pan Pizza as next to him was Indigo as she was dressed as Pasta Pete, the female version of Rebel Taxi’s Pan Pizza, as she whistled
“Shit Fang, what did the wall do to you? He did nothing wrong, and you had to hurt it like that.” Indigo said before bursting out laughing as he was snickering while Mise just rolled his eyes with a small smirked a bit “You should really be careful what you fling around, because some things are better left holstered…” he said as Fang and Indigo blushed
“Uh…. R-Right… right….” Fang said quickly pulling the hatchet out of the wall, leaving a gash in the wall as he quickly put them on the holsters on his belt while Indigo went to go get some punch.
Mise chuckled a bit while Octavia just rolled her eyes as Diana who was dressed up as Bonnie to match Artemis and Aria as she ran up to Artemis with Scootaloo dressed as Colonel Sanders, Sweetie belle dressed as Silica from Sword Art Online, Applebloom was dressed up as an Amazon warrior, Cynder who was dressed as the bride of Frankenstein, and Light who was dressed as Sinon by the request of Sweetie belle so they could match with Rapid and Sugarcoat all from Sword Art Online as he grumbled “I can’t believe you talked me into this Sweetie….” Light grumbled while Sweetie giggled “Aww, come on you look great.” She said as he sighed and rolled his eyes while Artemis looked towards Diana.
“Hey little sis, what’s up?” Artemis asked as Diana looked towards him “You really forgot? You promised that you and Aria would come trick or treat with us today, with your friends.” Diana had said as Mise chuckled softly “Sorry Arrow, but i’m going with the guys and some of the girls to that haunted house in the Griffonstone mines.” Mise said as Midnight walked back with the elastics
“Alright now to get your beard braided.” She had said sitting next to Mise and handing a few elastics to Octavia and helping braid Mise’s beard as Artemis nodded “I know Diana, and we will, just let us get ready then we can leave to go trick or treat, alright?” Artemis asked while Diana nodded and ran off with her friends again while Fang walked up.
“Sucks to be you dude, but then again I never minded when it was my little sisters, just don’t let them go to any creepy places, they never really end well.” He had said taking a sip of his punch while Mise nodded in agreement as Artemis sighed a bit
“I hear you guys…. Anyway we better get a move on so we can take Diana and her friends trick or treating.” He had said while Aria nodded “Got you, as well I think this year is going to be fun, just like last year.” She said getting up from her seat while Artemis nodded while Mise spoke up
“Yeah, fun for you guys maybe. But you two really lucked out.” Mise said as Octavia put her hand under his chin and closed his mouth “No talking, you’ll mess up the braid.” She said as she went back to work while Mise sighed a little while Fang walked towards the door with Indigo.
“Don’t know about you guys, but me and Indigo are going to go grab some stuff we need for tonight, and before you ask Mise, no it’s not what you think….” He said in a deadpanned face while Indigo giggled a bit “We're getting spray paint, toilet paper, fireworks and other shit we need.” She said following behind Fang as Mise chuckled softly while Octavia rolled her eyes
“Just try not to get arrested you two, because we’re not bailing you out...again…” Octavia said as Fang looked at her with a deadpanned look “You guys didn’t generally bail us out, you bailed Mise out by going to London for a family reunion, and we were stuck with going to a convention for a MLH convention, and had to fight two different people that looked like they never ever, been in a fight…. Though it did have a good ending for the two, but we will call you when we actually needed to be bailed out.” Fang said walking out of the house as Indigo followed behind him.
Indigo closed the door as Artemis looked at the two “Did that really happened?” He asked as Mise whistled a bit while Octavia looked around a little then out the window “Is that a zeppelin?” She asked pointing out the window while Artemis sighed “Seriously you two? I mean, I can understand Mise for this one, but you as well sis? What the hell!?” He said as Octavia looked down a little
“Sorry….” She had said as Artemis sighed “It’s fine, just think before you do something okay?” He asked as she nodded slowly while Diana ran to Artemis again “Come on big bro! We want to go trick or treating!” She had said as Artemis nodded “Alright, alright…. Were going…” He said getting up and walking with Diana while Aria giggled “Guess that’s our cue guys, we’ll see you guys later tonight, alright?” She said as the three nodded as they watched Aria follow after Artemis.
Soon enough there was a knock on the door as Pinkie Pie popped up to the door “I got it!” She said in her sing song voice as she opened the door to soon reveal Treble dressed as a Broken Matt Hardy, next to him was Vinyl as she was dressed up as spider gwen, next to her was Gaige and Flash as they were wearing Lucky Chloe from Tekken and Edward Cullen as he sighed a little “Gaige? Why did you talk me into this?” Flash asked in a deadpanned tone as Gaige smiled
“Because you're a Baka.” She had said smiling while he just sighed as Treble was about to say something, until someone kicked him inside as it was Warhawk who was dressed as the Lich King from World Of Warcraft “Just shut up Treble and get inside.” He said in a annoyed tone as Sonata followed behind as she was giggling and dressed as Sylvanas Windrunner
“He flew so high up.” She said still giggling as Warhawk chuckled softly as they walked into the house. While the party was going on Fang and Indigo were walking back from the hardware store “Well, at least we got everything we need now.” Fang had said while Indigo nodded.
“Yeah, and at a great deal too, good thing you have a rewards card for the place.” She said while Fang nodded with a warm smile when they soon bumped into a guy that had dark obsidian black hair, with tan skin and light blue eyes, he was wearing a leather bomber jacket with dark blue jeans and a pair of hiking boots, soon making him trip and fall onto the ground as the bag he had fell to the ground scattering across the sidewalk different items for a Halloween costume as the man slowly got up
“God damn it….” He mumbled quietly as Fang and Indigo got up “You okay man?” Fang asked while the man nodded and dusted himself off “Yeah, i’m fine….” He said picking up the items up off the ground as Indigo looked at him odd “What’s all that stuff for?” Indigo questioned as the man looked up at her “It’s for a Halloween costume….” He said as he picked up a letter man jacket with a baseball bat and placing it back in his bag, while Fang and Indigo saw a small glimpse of what looked to be a tactical belt as Indigo looked at the man a little more suspiciously.
“And what exactly are you going as?” Indigo pressed as the man finished putting his stuff in bag “Jacket, from Hotline Miami.” He said as Fang nodded and gave a small gasp of knowing “Ohhh! I can see it now, the rooster mask, the letterman, that’s pretty cool.” He said as the man nodded “Thank you, and nice Pasta Pete and Pan Pizza costumes, me and my girlfriend like the characters.” He said soon getting ready to walk away
“Thanks as well we never got your name.” Fang had said as the man stopped “It’s Johnny, Johnny C.” He said soon walking away as Indigo looked at the man oddly, watching him walk into the Everfree “There’s something not right about him, he seemed kind of...off, ya know?” Indigo said as Fang nodded a little “Yeah… like he was hiding something…. Like something dark…. We should probably get back to the party….” He said as Indigo nodded and followed behind Fang.
Back over with the party Lone dressed as Hawk from Dragon Age 2 and Sunny who was dressed as Maleficent arrived with Tidal dressed as Cloud Strife, Lyra who dressed as Tifa, and Bon Bon dressing as Aerith all from Final Fantasy. After them was Sunrise and Sunset dressing as eggs and bacon, which started to make Artemis and Pinkie Pie hungry, almost trying to eat their costumes.
A little later was Alchemy, Trixie and Diamond, Alchem and Trixie were dressed as Genji and Mercy from Overwatch, while Diamond was dressed as Alice, from Alice madness returns including the hair style with a wig while Pinkie whispered to herself “Ohhh…. Two alices in one chapter…. That will be crazy.” She whispered quietly trying not to be heard as Mise saw everyone and spoke up
“Hey guys! Love the costumes, especially Sunrise and Sunset.” Mise said as the girls finished braiding his beard. “And done, I kind of like the double braid look on you Mise, much more clean and and manly looking.” Octavia said as she started playing with one of the braids.
Just then Fang and Indigo walked back into the house “Damn…. You think he followed us?” Fang asked as Indigo quickly looked outside and shook her head and closed the door “No… thank Faust….” she said as Midnight looked at the two “Are you two alright? You look really paranoid.” Midnight had asked as they sighed and shook their heads
“Yeah… yeah, we’re fine… just some crazy shit on the way back….” Fang had said while Mise looked towards them a bit confused “Uhh...this is Canterlot, ‘Crazy Shit’ could be the name of the town’s mascot.” Mise said as everyone started laughing “That would be true, and we tried to take over the school and world.” Adagio said laughing as Dameon nodded and chuckled “You got that right Mise!” He said as the group kept laughing as Indigo shook her head.
“Yeah… but this ain't the typical kind of crazy shit man….” She said where this caught Octavia’s attention “What do you mean? What happened?” Octavia asked as Fang sighed a bit “We were walking back from the hardware store with everything we needed and we bumped into this guy that was walking down the street, he fell down and scattered his stuff for a Halloween costume, he was dressing up as Jacket from Hotline Miami but what was the creepy part he seemed… so distant, like he was not caring or anything… and he said his name was Johnny C.” Fang had told Octavia as she looked a little uneasy by what he had said.
“I don’t really know what any of that really means but I can see why that would creep you out.” Octavia said as Pinkie came in “Everyone! Come on outside! I have some super-duper fun-tastic activities for us to do!” Pinkie said as she beamed with energy and ran back outside.
The group soon got up and ran out into the backyard to find that what she had set up was a large stage with instruments and sound equipment with lighting and everything, a dirt patched area that had racks of wooden weapons and a table with pans of food next to a larger table with seats as one area had a large wooden target with a table filled with hatchets
“So! What do you all think!?” Pinkie asked with a excited tone as the group smiled widely as they soon began to run around and started to do some of the activities as Pinkie smiled warmly “They are going to love this party!” She said happily as Warhawk and Lone were getting ready for a sword duel.
“You ready Lone?” Warhawk asked swinging the sword a little as Lone nodded “All ready over here.” He said as they got into a stance, soon Sunny got close and spoke “Ready… Begin!” Sunny had said as the two charged at each other, screaming at the top of their lungs, soon their swords had met giving off a loud clang.
While that was going on Artemis, Pinkie and Sonata were sitting at the table as Eclipse was putting the food in front of them “Alright, now after I say ‘begin’, you start to eat as many tacos as you can, if you can’t eat any more, you are disqualified, am I clear?” Eclipse had asked as Pinkie and Artemis nodded, while Adagio and Aria were trying to keep Sonata held back
“S-She understands…. P-Please say begin!” Adagio yelled at Eclipse while he nodded “And… Begin!” he yelled as Artemis and Pinkie started to eat some of the tacos while Sonata soon gotten out of Adagio’s and Aria’s grips and dived into the tacos.
As that was all going on Fang and Mise were over with the hatchets as Mise threw one close to the center of the target as he smiled a bit “That’s fifty points right there.” He said soon turning to Fang as he soon gave a deadpanned look “Dude… what the hell are you doing?” Mise asked as Fang was juggling a few hatchets
“Da da da da da da da da circus! Da da da da da da da da afro! Circus afro, circus afro, polka dot polka dot polka dot afro!” He sang striking a final pose as he caught three of the hatchets and threw the fourth one, hitting the middle of the target, giving a cheeky smile as Mise sighed and rolled his eyes.
“60 points, not bad...I bet you 50 dollars I can get it the same spot as yours.” Mise said as Fang smirked “You’re on man.” Fang said accepting the challenge as Mise nodded “Alright, well you better get your wallet ready, because here we go!” Mise said as he lined up his shot and threw the hatchet at the target splitting the handle of Fang’s down the middle and embedding itself in the head of the other weapon.
“HOLY SHIT!!” Fang yelled as his jaw hit the ground as Mise chuckled and removed his hatchet “All payments are acceptable the form of cash or check at your earliest convenience.” Mise said as Fang picked his jaw up off the ground. The rest of the group were seated in front of the stage as Trixie was on stage
“Welcome! One and all! The Great and Powerful trrrrriiiixie’s magic show!!” Trixie said as Diamond Tiara walked out on stage and was trying to force Alchemy out on the stage as well “Al, it’s going to be fine, it's just your friends, now come on and lighten up a bit.” Diamond said as Alchemy sighed and nervously and begrudgingly walked out on stage with her. “Remind me again why I let you two talk me into this…?” Alchemy asked as Trixie turned around “Assistants are supposed to be quiet…” Trixie said as Alchemy rolled his eyes.
Back with Warhawk and Lone, the two were still going strong as their swords clashed against each other and their bodies moved almost in sync with other matching and countering other’s advances “Damn, you’re really good at this, I have to admit.” Lone said as he dodged an attack from Warhawk and tried countering with another
“You’re not too bad yourself.” Warhawk said as swiped at Lone who side stepped but was taken by surprise when Warhawk struck Lone with the blade as he returned to his position, ending the match. “That was an excellent match, good game.” Lone said extending his hand as Warhawk nodded as shook his hand “Same to you, we should try this again sometime.” he said as the two broke the handshake and got something to drink.
Over at the taco eating contest, Pinkie was passed out on the ground in a food coma as Artemis and Sonata were still going strong. Sonanta was on her 5th platter of tacos while Artemis was halfway through his 4th “30 seconds left!” Eclipse said holding a stop watch. Sonata and Artemis were neck and neck as the seconds ticked by, beads of sweat rolled down their sour cream and beef covered faces.
“15 seconds!!” Eclipse announced as the two were nearing the end, but just as it looked like the taco queen Sonata was going to take home the title, something terrible happened as she stopped abruptly and ran to a nearby bush and proceeded to spew out every ounce of taco she had eaten. “Artemis wins by default!” Eclipse said as Artemis was still shoveling in tacos as Eclipse held his arm up. Aria walked over and handed him a golden taco award with a sombrero on top.
“Here’s your prize.” Aria said as Artemis was licking the plate. “Sorry you say something babe?” he said as Aria facepalmed. “You’re impossible, You know that babe.” She said as Sonata soon stopped vomiting as her face was still a little green “P-Please… S-Stop spinning the backyard….” She had said in a very weak, queasy tone. Warhawk them walked over to Sonata and put his arm around her. “Come on Nata, let’s get you to the medical tent.” He said leading Sonata away.
Back with Trixie’s magic show, everything was going smoothly as Trixie was preparing for her last trick “Now! For my last performance, I shall make not only myself! But also, my assistant disappear!! Now don’t blink or you’ll miss it!” Trixie said as Diamond and Alchemy gathered close by as Trixie then threw down a handful of smoke bombs. But instead of a puff of smoke, there was a big explosion sending the three flying like Team Rocket
“Looks like team Trixie’s blasting off again…” Artemis said as he turned around as Aria slapped him in the back of the head. When the smoke had finally cleared it revealed Diamond hanging for dear life from a stage light, Alchemy was hanging on a tree limb on his stomach and trixie was plastered to a wall with her arms and legs spread out. “Trixie is okay….” she said as she slowly peeled off the fall and fell to the ground.
Fang and Mise watched on as Fang just shook his head “She really needs to check those smoke bombs…” He said handing Mise the money “Thank you my good man, and yeah, I should check out the detonators on those before each show.” Mise said stuffing the money in a pouch, Fang nodded “I hear you on that one man.” He said as his phone soon went off “Huh?” He said soon taking it out to see who was calling as this peaked Mise’s interest
“Who’s calling you? Lady friend? Your sisters? Milky? All of the above?” Mise said smirking a bit “No you dumbass…. It’s Lemon Zest, I wonder what she’s calling about.” He said soon answering the phone as he nodded a little “Hey Lemon…. Yeah…. Uh huh…. U-uh huh…. A-Alright…. I’ll tell Eclipse….” He had said quietly while his breathing became a little heavy as Mise saw this
“Oh fuck, I know that look, what happened this time…?” Mise asked worried. “I-It’s Blueblood man…. S-Someone beat the living fuck out of him…. L-Like almost…. T-To near death man…. H-He’s in the hospital…. I know he was always a fucking dick man…. B-But he didn’t deserve that….” Fang said in a worried tone as this caught Artemis’s attention “I can get why you guys don’t like him, but he’s not really that bad a guy once you get to know him and the reason he acts the way he does.” Artemis had said as Mise spoke up, looking at Artemis
“And how would you know this?” He asked suspicious, but before he could get an answer Aria soon spoke up.
“We'll tell you another time, but right now let’s get to the hospital.” She had said until Diana ran up to Artemis “Big brother! You said you were going to take us trick or treating!” Diana had said as Artemis soon stopped and turned to Aria “What do we do?” He asked as Aria started to think a little “Maybe…. We could visit him on the way?” She suggested while Artemis nodded a bit
“I think that would be a good idea.” Aria had said as Mise spoke up again “i’ll break it to Eclipse, you guys go on ahead.” Mise said as Artemis nodded “Thanks man, I just hope he’s doing good.” Artemis said as he and Aria walked out with Diana and her friends as Mise walked over to Eclipse “Eclipse, can I talk to you for a second?” Mise asked as he nodded and kissed Midnight and walked over to Mise
“What’s up man? Everything alright?” Eclipse asked as Mise shook his head “Not really, Blueblood is in the hospital, apparently someone beat him nearly to death, he’s in the hospital.” Mise said as Eclipse rolled his eyes and started to walk away before mise grabbed his shoulder “look, I know you two don’t see eye to eye, but even I attended the funerals of those I killed. He's still your family, the least you can do is check on him.” Mise said as Eclipse remained silent before sighing frustratedly “Fine, i’ll check on him for 5 minutes and that’s it. He’s got a lot to do before he’s good with me.” Eclipse said as Mise nodded and let him go back to what he was doing.
Timeskip: to hospital
“So how do you think he’s doing, Artemis?” Diana asked as the group waited in the lobby “Not sure little sis all we can do is hope he’ll make it through.” Artemis said as Eclipse gave Arrow and Diana a weird look “Why do you care so much about that idiot, he’s done nothing but cause pain to everyone he’s come into contact with.” Eclipse said bitterly as Cynder looked up at him.
“Bubba, can’t you forgive cousin Blueblood? I mean, yeah he's done some bad stuff but so has a lot of people at school but you forgave them.” Cynder said as Eclipse let this sink in for a second “Because he’s family, and family doesn’t hurt family...but he still did it anyway…” Eclipse said as he looked out the door and stared at the stars.
The group sat in deep silence as the nurse came out “Blueblood is ready to see you, now.” The nurse said as the group looked at each other and slowly got up as the followed the nurse to one of the hospital rooms. Inside was Blueblood who was covered in bruises, bloody bandages, tubes and IV’s. his eyes were swollen shut and could hardly see and was far from recognizable.
“Sweet mother of Faust!! did he get beat up or hit by a freight train?!” Artemis said shocked as Diana hugged her brother’s side not wanting to look at Blueblood, that was until the group heard a voice sitting next to Blueblood
“He got the living hell beaten out of him….” The voice had said as they saw a man sitting next to Blueblood, the person was known as ‘Johnny’, however hiding behind him was a women who had very tan skin close to the color of caramel, she had a dark shade of brown hair that was a bit messy and ruffled with light brown eyes, as they were red and puffy, for she had been crying while she wore a dark blue hoodie and dark black skirt and boots.
The group looked towards him and the women as he had a dead look in his eyes but still felt sorrow and sadness as Artemis slowly spoke up “W-Who are you…?” He asked as the man sighed softly
“Name’s Johnny…. Johnny C. The girl behind me is Izzy…. She’s the one that beat your friend here to a living pulp….” He had said quietly as this surprised the group when Eclipse soon spoke up. “Well she certainly did a bang up job, might I ask the question all our minds? As in, why did she do it or what did he do to make her do this?” Eclipse asked bluntly while Johnny sighed
“Izzy here likes donuts….like, more than life itself. She got some today, your friend here bumped into her, made her spill them as he tried to apologize, she started to viciously beat him with her hands…. She’s not a violent person…. But you mess with something she holds dear…. She will literally take your fucking head off….” He said bluntly as Izzy kept weeping softly.
“Sounds like Sonata and tacos, while it doesn’t fully excuse what she did, but we do however we understand what it's like having someone like that in your life.” Mise said looking at Artemis. “That was one time Mise, let it go already!” Artemis said crossing his arms. The man chuckled softly and slowly shook his head
“You all remind me of our friends…. Anyway we just came to apologize for what had happened.” He said as he soon turned to Blueblood “Were really sorry for what had happened to you… Hopefully you will feel better soon…” He said as Izzy sniffled and wiped her eyes
“M-Mr. S-Snuggles…? A-Am I-I going to J-Jail? I didn’t mean to hurt him...P-Please don’t l-let me go to jail…” Izzy said in a sweet innocent voice as more tears started form in her eyes, Johnny slowly shook his head and pulled Izzy into a hug, gently petting her head, gently running his fingers through her hair and cooing gently into her ear
“Of course not Izzy… This was all an accident, I’m sure he would forgive you…. And I would never let you go to jail…. Ever….” He gently cooed into Izzy’s ear as she slowly nuzzled into his shoulder, giving a small sniffle and slowly nodding “O-Okay…. T-Thank you M-Mr. Snuggles….” She had said in a gentle tone. The group smiled a bit at this as they saw the two soon getting up from their seat “We better get going…. Can’t leave the girls waiting.” He said as he gently took Izzy’s hand and started to walk out of the hospital room, soon accidentally bumping into Aria
“Sorry….” He said as a metallic clang could be heard when Aria soon looked towards the ground to see a metallic object, soon picking it up inspecting it closer to see it was a handmade iron dagger, she then soon spoke up “Hey… you dropped this.” She had said holding up the dagger. He stopped and took the dagger back and nodded “Thank you…. Have a good day.” He said soon walking out of the hospital room with Izzy, leaving the room with the group and Blueblood.
The group slowly made it to Blueblood as his chest rose and descended at a slow rate, indicating he was still somewhat breathing, but only with the help of the medical equipment. The group felt horrible for Blueblood, except for Eclipse as he felt a little indifferent about it all, only saying “Guess Karma is a bitch…” He said quietly as Indigo smacked him upside the head
“Just shut up Eclipse….” She had said in a bit of an angry tone as Blueblood coughed a little as his heart rate spiked for a moment, but soon went back to a slow pace. The group soon began to pay their respects until Mise accidently kicked something under the bed “What the?” Mise said quietly as he looked under the bed and saw a small syringe hooked up to the IV tubes, with a red liquid running through it as he smiled a bit
“I don’t know who put you here, but...they certainly have my respect.” Mise thought out loud as he recognized the device and stood back up. The group finished their task at hand and quietly said their goodbyes to Blueblood as they left the hospital room.
Timeskip: to the party...
The group finally made it back to Pinkie’s house from the hospital as everyone was now inside the house just sitting around and relaxing waiting for the late night festivities to begin. “I wonder what Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna have planned this year? they always have some kind of haunted house or something going on at the school or around the neighborhood.” Lone said as Indigo started snickered madly
“And I bet Cinch would be the main freight, she doesn’t even have to dress up either!” Indigo said as the group started laughing. “Better watch out, she could Medusa in disguise, she will turn you to stone, and not in the good way.” Fang had said as Indigo started to laugh harder, soon pulling Fang into a kiss as Mise snickered “I didn’t know you knew my ex-girlfriend!” Mise said as Octavia facepalmed “Just how old do you think you are?” Octavia asked.
“Birth wise, 21, physically about 30, and mentally it changes from 14 to 85.” Mise said smiling proudly as Octavia sighed and shook her head. Indigo soon broke the kiss and grabbed Fang’s hand and started to drag him to a closet “Pinkie! Were borrowing your closet for some time, anyone knocks, you will end up in the hospital next to Blueblood.” She said as she gently pushed Fang in and closed the closet door behind her. The group snickered a bit as Artemis looked towards the group “Should we be worried?” He asked as the group thought a bit, until they all shook their heads with a knowing smirk “Na…” They all had said at the same time as Diana spoke up “Big bro, are we going to trick or treat soon?” She asked as Artemis nodded with a warm smile “Sure sis, we can go trick or treating in a bit.” He said as Lone chuckled softly “Guess she really wants to trick or treat with her friends. So what is everyone up to tonight?” Lone asked as Mise began to explain.
“Well me and Octavia are talking any participants that are willing and brave enough, to the old Griffonstone mines for the haunted maze they set up in the cave system there, and I assume the rest of the group is either going to go home or go out on the town and grabs as much candy as the can carry.” Mise said as the group began to think a little as Sunny spoke up
“I think me and Lone are going to get candy with Artemis and the kids, I don’t really like haunted houses or mazes that much.” She had said as Lone nodded in agreement while Rapid nodded “I-I think me and Sugarcoat will do the same….” He had said a little shyly while Sugarcoat spoke up
“I would have to agree…. Too much horror is bad on the heart.” She had said as Warhawk shook his head “Don’t know about you guys, but i’m joining Mise on this, I heard it’s supposed to be really damn scary there, so me and Nata will join them.” He said as Sonata giggled happily “It’s going to be so much fun!”
Sonata had squealed happily as Fang stumbled a bit out of the closet while Indigo giggled softly and kissed his cheek “Be prepared for later tonight.” She had cooed to him, making him blush deeply while Mise snickered “You’re gonna far kid! Hit em’ right between the eyes, hit em’ right between the eyes!” Mise sang a bit as he winked at Fang as he sighed and shook his head a little
“Anyway…. What’s going on?” Indigo asked while Adagio spoke up “We’re dividing the group a little, some are going to the haunted maze, and the rest are going trick or treating, I think this year me and Daemon are going to go get candy, from what I heard from last year it was a little too insane.” She said as the group kept dividing themselves up as Rainbow sighed “Well… I can give the haunted maze a try with Rivet…” She said joining the rest of the group as Fang started to count everyone up.
“Let’s see…. One, two, three… dah dah… Alright we got about 12 people here, everyone else is trick or treating, and I think Pinkie is going trick or treating instead, anyway everyone ready?” Fang asked as the group cheered and started to leave the house “We will see you guys later, have fun!” Artemis said to the group as they left, until he stopped Treble
“Hey Treble, can you do me a big favor?” Artemis asked in a hushed tone while Treble nodded “thy accept thou’s proposition …. But what das thy get out of it?” He asked as Artemis thought a bit “A pepsi and a handful of granola?” Artemis suggested as Treble nodded “Agreed, throweth in a picture of thine Ice in her bikini and thou haveth a deal.” He had said as Artemis nodded and started to whisper the plan into Treble’s ear.
Some time after Artemis told the plan to Treble he left with his group to go trick or treat for candy as Lone was telling a small story “And that’s why I think that plastic bags are a great substitute for lunch pails.” He said as the group nodded “Fascinating…” Aria said in a bored tone as they waited for the girls to get their candy.
The group continued to move on until they soon began to hear moans of pain, soon slowly turning to see a group of people, slowly shuffling across the pavement with crimson stained clothing and on their faces, more specifically their mouths as the crimson liquid dripped from their chins as they continued to shuffle towards the group with dead, glassy stares in their eyes.
The group soon began to panic seeing this as Artemis soon yelled “It’s a zombie outbreak! Everyone run!” He screamed as the group soon began to run like bats out of hell and into a convenience store, trying to hide behind the store shelves as the zombies began to close into the store slowly, as the group's hearts began to race as Artemis spoke up “Ari… I-If we don’t make… I just want you to know… That… I’m really happy that you became my girlfriend and that I love you.”
He said as Aria smiled and kissed him gently on the lips “And I am happy you became my boyfriend, and I will always love you.” She said as the group smiled a little as they began to say their last testaments while zombies closed in, more and more as the doors of the convenience store opened.
The zombies began to pour in while the group began to slowly accept their fates and shut their eyes when the creatures began to close in on them, until they started to hear the squeaking and rustling of bags, when the group soon opened their eyes to see that the zombies were grabbing bags of chips, cookies, sodas and other food off the shelves.
“W-What the?” Artemis asked as the zombies soon began to pile out when a girl that had a more light tan skin, jet black hair and green eyes who was dressed as a 1970’s hippie stood their with a bag of cheeto puffs “Hey their space children… how are you enjoying this all hallow’s eve of ghost and goblins?” The women asked, munching on the snack when Aria slowly got up.
“Hey! They’re not zombies! They’re stoners!” She yelled as the women giggled softly “You need to calm your aura moon child, you’re harshing my mellow that we have right now.” She said as her eyes were really squinted and red as Sunny soon got up “We're going to harsh something else if you don’t start answering what just happened…” Sunny said in a dark tone as Lone tried to keep her calm as the woman blinked a little
“W-Wha…?” She asked as Lone spoke up “I got this guys.” He said soon turning to the woman “Please forgive my fellow stellar children, we too are trying to keep in line with aura of all hallow’s eve.” Lone said bowing as the woman smiled.
“All is forgiven ‘Little River Stone’, may the universe be with you.” The woman said as she lead the group out of the convenience store as the group sighed a little “At least that is all over… Who are you anyway?” Sugarcoat asked as the woman blinked a bit as it started to register in her mind “Oh…. It’s Remaie… Moon child….” The woman now known as Remaie had said soon turning and walking away from the group.
“Wonder where brother and big sister is….” She had said in a quiet tone, walking towards the forest as Artemis became a little confused “Why is she walking towards the forest?” He asked as Aria raised an eyebrow to it
“It’s actually odd…. You think we should follow her?” Aria asked as the group became a little worried but soon nodded as Pinkie spoke up “M-Maybe she is looking for family?” She had said as Artemis sighed and nodded “We should see what’s going on…. Just to hope that she is okay… and even her siblings as well” He said as the group began to follow the woman into the forest.
The group slowly began to walk into the forest, as a distant howl of a pack of wolves could be heard, howling towards the moon on a small rock cliff, sending chills down the spines of the group, slowly walking through the woods. Barely making it through as the shroud of night cascade across the woods as they tried to follow the woman, until they soon stopped to see an old, rustic cabin in the woods, standing alone.
The group froze in place as Trixie spoke quietly “I… I seen too many horror movies to know… T-That this is bad….” She had said as the group slowly nodded when the woman opened the door “Brother… I’m home….” She said walking as a familiar voice spoke up “About time, we were worried about you Remaie, come on dinners ready.” The voice had said slowly closing the door as the group soon slowly walked towards it.
“W-Was that Johnny?” Artemis asked when the girls soon ran up to the door “Diana! Wait!” He said as the girls and Pinkie soon knocked on the door as Trixie ran up to the girls when the door opened to reveal Johnny wearing a pair of black glasses, a yellow flannel shirt, and yellow sweater vest with black pants, with a rolled cigarette in his mouth and holding a book as the girls spoke up
“Trick or Treat!” The all chanted happily as Johnny spoke up “The fuck did you just call me?” He asked as the group became a little confused by this as Johnny looked over at Trixie “And what the fuck are you supposed to be? A disappointment?” Johnny said with the cigarette in his mouth as the group looked even more confused as Trixie looked towards the ground “N-No… I… I made this costume myself….” She said quietly as he shook his head and slammed the door shut.
The group were completely confused by this, but the girls were determined to get their candy as they started to ring the doorbell and knock on the door, until it opened again as Johnny stood their with his book still in his hands and the cigarette in his mouth as he was holding a black fleshlight “I thought I told you little mother fuckers to get off my lawn!” He yelled at the group as the girls soon screamed in fear and dropped their candy bags on the ground, while Pinkie laid an egg out of fear and ran as he tapped the fleshlight against the book
“Damn things not working again.” He said as the kids soon ran into the group and started to make them run, when they were soon out of eyesight Johnny began to laugh “O-Oh my god! That was so fucking funny!” He said laughing as Wave walked up to him “Mike you scared them out of their minds! What were you thinking!?” She yelled at him as he sighed “Sorry Wave, anyway is everyone almost ready? I need to switch into my costume soon.”
He said as he soon saw the candy bags on the ground “Ahh shit… they forgot their candy bags…. I think I should return them.” He said as Wave nodded “Yeah, everyone is almost ready...except Izzy...she's still, uhm...running around naked...again.” Wave said shaking her head and facepalming as the man, whose real name was now revealed sighed
“I don’t know what is going through her head… I think it was because that she wanted to see my ‘3rd leg’...” He said in a deadpanned tone as Wave blushed a bit “S-Sorry….” She said quietly as Mike sighed “It’s fine… I’ll get her in her costume… you go eat dinner with Crystal, Remaie and Vanessa… I’ll go get Izzy in her costume… and get mine on….” He said walking in as Wave nodded a little “A-Alright Mike…” Wave said as she walked back the house as Mike followed behind taking the candy inside with him.
Over with the other group…
The other group was walking to the caverns as Fang was discussing about a horror movie “And that is why I think Trick R Treat is a great film, and had some interesting concepts.” He said as Warhawk nodded “Interesting, though I think it would be an interesting film, though I think I might stay with my horror games.” He said as Fang shrugged “Eh, to each their own.” He said as Mise rolled his eyes
“Yeah, those are pretty creepy, but I got a story that’ll make piss your pants just upon hearing it.” Mise said smirking crookedly as everyone turned to him with looks of intrigue and skepticism “Really now? And what could you possibly tell us that we haven’t already heard pass your lips?” Tidal said as Lyra nodded “Yeah, you’ve really got a thing for telling you exploits, what could be scarier than what we said?” she said as Mise chuckled a bit
“Oh naive children, so blissfully unaware where this night of fright hails from. My people weren’t just crazy drunken farmers with guns and deep rooted grudges. Listen close and listen good, for I will tell the tale of the great haunting of Leap Castle, the most haunted castle in the world!” Mise said as his tone got more sinister as Indigo scoffed
“Haunted castle? The paranormal doesn’t exist!” she said as Mise simply chuckled darkly “Foolish child, you will be a believer by the end of this tale.” Mise said as he grabbed a fallen branch, wrapping it in cloth and lighting it to make a torch
“Now listen up, numerous people were imprisoned and executed in the castle and it is said that it is one of the reasons why the castle is haunted. One of the most terrifying beings which reside in the castle has been called ‘It’. ‘It’ is a creature which is small, about the size of a sheep and has a decaying face. It is believed that when “It” appears, it is accompanied by the smell of sulphur and the smell of a decaying corpse.” Mise said as he walked with the torch
“When the castle’s ownership was transferred to new hands, the new owners dabbled in the occult as it was the fashion during the day. It is widely believed that this dabbling in the occult resulted in the awakening of the elemental spirits of the land and building. The mistress of the house wrote about her frightening ordeal back nearly 100 years ago. According to her, she was standing in the gallery when she felt somebody putting a hand on her shoulder. When she looked, she saw a thing which was about the size of the sheep with a gaunt inhuman face. It has black cavities for eyes and it has the smell of a decomposing corpse. The owners lived there for only a few more years after...but it does stop there..” Mise said as BonBon clung to Lyra as Mise continued his tale
“Murders we’re rampant in this castle. As was the case of The Red Lady who has been encountered by many people too. The Red Lady has been seen carrying in a dagger in her hand and raising it in a menacing manner, as if wanting to stab someone. Story goes that the Red Lady is the ghost of a woman who was captured and raped by the owners. She got pregnant and as a result of the rape. The baby was killed by the owners and in despair she killed herself.” Mise said as the group became more and more scared, the girls clung to their boyfriends as Mise saw this and cackled
“But lastly is the tale of emily and charlotte, two young girls have been seen and heard playing in Leap Castle. They are often seen by castle visitors playing in the hall and running up and down the stairs. Emily died at the age of 11 when she fell from the battlements. Many people have seen her ghost falling from the castle and disappearing before hitting the ground. Charlotte has been seen dragging her deformed legs behind her.” Mise said as Fang spoke up.
“Dude…. That was… Fucking awesome!” Fang had said with a chuckle as Indigo kept latched onto Fang “T-That wasn’t awesome…. I-It was fucking scary!” She had said as Sonata slowly nodded as Warhawk was rocking her back and forth gently trying to calm her down as Gaige was clinging to Flash’s back like a cat, while Lyra and Bon Bon were holding onto Tidal as Eclipse was trying to calm Midnight down, as she had stole Fang’s hat and was trying to hide herself with it, while Vinyl looked ready to pass out as Mise was chuckling with a warm smile
“Hot damn, that never gets old. And fyi, none of that is made up either, so yeah, good luck sleeping tonight…” Mise said chuckling as the group was growling at Mise while Fang was just chuckling.
“Play enough horror games, watch the movies and even have an older brother that scares the living hell out of you each day for most of your young age, nothing really can scare you.” Fang said as Indigo kept nuzzled into Fang with an angry glare at Mise “Well looks like I am going to be staying with you for a few months now….” She said angrily as Mise chuckled and rolled his eyes as he kept walking with the group towards the caverns “You know just as well as I do, the real reason you want to stay with Fang…” Mise said smiling warmly at Indigo but since it was so dark only she and Fang could see it from behind light of the fire.
Indigo sighed a little and kept close to Fang as he just gently petted her head, gently running his fingers through her hair as the group soon made it to the cavern system as Warhawk spoke up “Hello…? Is anyone there?” He asked as there was no response when a sudden light began to flicker in the distance “Hey guys look… a light, someone must be inside.” Eclipse said as the group reluctantly nodded and walked in when then a trap door closed behind them, trapping them inside.
“AAAAAHAHAHAHA!!!” A sincincer voice cackled over the speakers “Welcome to my little...fun...house, hahaha!!” The voice said as the veteran members of the group’s blood ran cold and their faces turned pale “No….that’s IMPOSSIBLE!!!” Mise said as his pupils shrank to the size of pin pricks
“Oh my Faust…. Are we on the Truman show?!” Fang asked happily as the group looked at Fang as the voice spoke up “Uh no…. You’re in-” The voice tried to say as Fang spoke up again “Big brother season 10?” He asked as the voice sighed “No… You’re in-” The voice tried to say as Fang started to jump up and down as Indigo was giggling and joining in “Channel Zero’s Candle Cove?!” They chanted as the voice was getting frustrated
“No…. But you are close since the other story will premiere next year….” The man said as he felt a vain popping out of his head as Fang snapped his fingers “No end house!” He said with a happy smile, until it began to fade “Oh fuck our lives….” He said quietly as the voice cackled happily through the speakers.
“Ding! Ding! Ding! We have our winner, someone give that boy a prize!” He cackled happily but in a more sinister tone as Mise slowly looked towards Fang and Indigo “Do you two remember what happened last year at the Everfree Mansion? With that terrifying gruesome twosome, Joker and Harley?!” Mise said trying to keep himself calm as Octavia clung to Mise knowing where he was going with this as Fang and Indigo turned pale
“Y-You’re saying…. Oh fuck this man! We need to get the fuck out of here!” He yelled soon taking a hold of Indigo’s hand and trying to pry the trap door open when the voice kicked on again over the speakers “Try as you must young lad, but you will never get that door open, the only way you're getting out of here alive, is by going through our fun house…. Have fun little kiddies….” The voice said as the group started to freak out a bit.
“What the fuck do we do man!?” Fang yelled at Mise as Warhawk was trying to keep Sonata calm “Mise, you better have a plan man….” He said as Octavia was trying to keep herself calm “Yeah, I have a plan. We’re gonna split up and fan out. We need to find those two ghouls and an exit, whichever happens first.” Mise said as they nodded
“Warhawk, Eclipse, Soul and Tidal, you take Sonata, Midnight, Lyra and BonBon and search for a way out of this place. Indigo, Fang, Gaige, Flash, Vinyl, Jack, Spitfire, and Octy, you’re coming with me, we’re gonna track those two down and deal with them and possibly find a way out as well if possible.” Mise said as everyone nodded again and formed their groups as they soon took walked towards the two doorways, soon wishing each other luck and walking into the rooms.
Back with the other group…
Artemis was in the restroom of a grocery store as the group was looking around a little as they were buying new trick or treat bags for the kids “Can’t believe that guy scared the kids like that…. Who does he think he is?” Aria said as Trixie was still looking towards the ground a bit “I don’t know…” She said quietly as Aria could tell she was still upset over what he said to her
“Hey, I think your costume is great, don’t let that jerk bring you down, he’s just jealous that he could never make a costume like that.” She said, making Trixie smile a little “Thank you… Aria…” She said while Pinkie was telling a story to the kids to keep them entertained as Lone and Sunny were having a little fun in the candy aisle.
“Put that candy back, I’m not buying you that shit.” Lone said in a grandpa like voice as Sunny giggled softly and tossed the bag of candy at Lone’s head, hitting him in the head as he tried to push the cart “Fuck me right in the ass!” He said trying to keep the voice as Sunny giggled more
“It’s just like the video!” She said as Lone looked in a Disney Princess mirror “Have you see this app, it shows you what you gon look like when you get old and fucked up.” He said in the voice as the group snickered a little while Diana shook her head with a small smile.
“Your friends are really crazy sis.” She said to Aria as she snickered softly and nodded “Yeah… they are really.” She said with a soft smile as she soon finished buying the bags for the kids “Now to go out trick or treating again…. I bet we will get plenty of candy before the night is over.” Aria said as Trixie nodded “Hopefully, that guy was a big jerk though.” She said as Alchemy rolled his eyes
“He’s just an idiot that can’t control his stupidity.” He said as the group snickered a bit at what Alchemy had said, however unknown to them someone was watching and listening closely as the person set down a boombox down and popped the tray open and placed a disk inside, soon slowly closing the tray with the top of a baseball bat and pressing the play button as a low tone began to play out of the speakers, soon slowly increasing in tempo as it began to play NARC.
the group soon began to hear the music and turned to see a man standing there, wearing a brown and dark yellow letterman jacket, light blue jeans, white sneakers and a rubber rooster mask, holding a baseball bat in his bandaged hands as his clothing was stained with blood. The group became a bit confused and a little confused by this as Artemis got out of the bathroom and saw the man as he spoke up “Uh...can we help you?” Artemis asked as he got in front of the group.
The man just stayed silent as the group could only hear was the music track change and the man’s breathing, as it was at a steady pace when Alchemy soon tapped Artemis’s shoulder “Maybe we should just go.” He said quietly as Artemis nodded a little as the group nodded a little as they broke eye contact with the man, “I think that would be a good idea.” He said soon breaking eye contact with the man to speak to Alchemy.
Soon he turned back to the man “I am very sorry…. Sir….” He said as he looked around to see that the man had disappeared from sight, only leaving the boombox, still playing as the group looked around a bit “Where’d he go?” Sunrise asked as the group shrugged a little, until a tall hourglass figure women, with long braided snow blonde hair, piercing blue eyes, and cream colored skin, wearing a maiden vampire outfit.
“E-Excuse me…. H-Have you seen our friend?” She asked as behind her was Wave who was dressed as Morticia from the Addams family and Izzy, who was dressed as a female Edward Scissor hands, but next to them was a third women who had a mix of light and tan skin as it was slightly lighter then the girl next her as it was a close mix of the two, she had light brown to brunette hair that was brushed down to her shoulders with dark hazel eyes.
She was dressed in a white dress and had blood staining it with her hands as the crimson liquid ran up her arms, close to her elbows as she had blood running down from her eyes as she was putting in black and red contacts. Aria thought a little “Uh no sorry…. Anyway what are you four doing out and about? Going trick or treating as well?” She asked as Wave nodded with a warm smile “Mhmm, we thought it would be fun and wanted to do it.” She had said giggling softly.
The group nodded a bit as Artemis kept looking around a little “Well, was your friend wearing a bloody letterman jacket, carrying a bat, chicken mask, and being creepy as hell?” Artemis asked as Wave nodded “Actually I think it was, we have two friends of ours, my boyfriend is dressed as “Jacket” the Homicidal Maniac, if you see him let us know okay?” She asked as the group nodded and watched the group leave, as Wave giggled softly and whispered to the three
“You know, Mike is right, Halloween is fun with some scares.” She whispered to the three as they giggled softly and walked out of the store as Aria looked at the four funny “Odd… anyway let’s just try to find their friend.” She had said as Lone nodded “I agree, I wonder if their friend, the creepy guy just now, the guy that scared the girls, and the Johnny guy we keep seeing are all related somehow, I doubt it's the same guy, no one could get around that fast that much.” Lone said as it got the group thinking about recent events as the boombox soon switched to the next track as it read ‘Sexualizer’ in green neon lights on the small black screen.
Rapid sat next to the boombox and sighed “It’s possible…. Or it’s not possible, we have no idea at this point…. It’s kind of crazy and this guy is creepy as hell….” He said in a quiet tone as the group agreed while Light was keeping a close eye on Sweetie belle. “I can’t believe you talked me into wearing this costume, not only do I look like a girl, but as well we got some creepy guy watching us from probably the shadows and might want to kill us!” Light complained as Sweetie sighed
“Come on Light, you look nice as well it’s not all bad, I think he finally left, and we should all be happy about that.” Sweetie insisted as the group nodded. Lone soon leaded against a aisle of the frozen foods department and sighed, until he felt a small tap against his head making him freeze in place as he slowly looked up to see the man sitting above him, gently tapping the side of his head with the baseball bat as all he could hear was the arguing of Light and Sweetie, the music and his own heartbeat as it began to race.
“G-Guys…” Lone said quietly as Artemis waved him off a little “It’s going to be alright Lone, we just need to think of a plan.” He said as Lone tried to speak up “G-Guys…!” He said a little louder while Sunny spoke up “Lone, everything will be fine, you don’t need to worry.” She said trying to reassure him until he finally snapped
“Guys!” He finally yelled as the group soon turned to him “What!?” They all asked, until it was cut short when they saw the man sitting on top of the frozen aisles as Artemis tried to defuse the situation
“Okay...I have a plan…..RUUUUNNNNN!!!!” Artemis said as he grabbed Diana and booked it for the door as the group ran while Pinkie laid another egg out of fear and ran with the group. Aria looked at the man then back at Artemis and shook her head then back at the guy after everyone followed artemis “I don’t care who you are, but I have 1 question. Okay? I won’t tell the others but do you want to hurt us? 1 finger for yes, 2 fingers for no.” Aria said trying to deal with the man seeing his abilities in getting around and hiding.
The man gave Michael Myers confused head tilt as he then raised his left hand and lift two fingers up, indicating no as Aria sighed a little “Good, that's all I want to know. Carry on with your plans.” Aria said as she gave a finger salute and ran out with the group. The man chuckled softly and got off the freezer and picked up the boombox and strapped it to his back as he soon walked to one of the aisles and grabbed a few bags of candy and started to tear them open and pour them into a few bags.
Back with the other group in the haunted house….
Mise was leading his half of the group and slowly moving through the room as it looked to be part of a decrepit mine, slowly decaying with time as the rotted wood was cracking away as chains were slowly swaying back and forth as Flash spoke up “Where the hell are we? I thought we were in a normal house, now were in a mine?” He said in a annoyed tone as Mise facepalmed a bit “What part of ‘Griffonstone mines’ confused you? I don’t know how we got down here, but were in the old silver mines that run all underneath Canterlot.” Mise said as he held out his torch to light the way.
“Well if that's the case then why don’t we just tunnel our way out?” Vinyl asked as Fang shook his head “To dangerous, this area of the mine must be really old, you try mining it, it will collapse the damn area.” He said as Gaige sat down on a rock “That’s it… we're dead, game over man! Game over!” She yelled as Indigo grabbed her shoulders and shook her
“Gaige, get a hold yourself!” She yelled soon slapping Gaige as she teared up and soon began to break down, crying. The group sighed a little until they soon heard a loud roar “W-What was that?” Flash asked as Mise shook his head “I-I don’t know...but whatever it was...definitely doesn’t sound like it should be down here…” Mise said as a giant shadow started creeping around the corner. The group watched in horror as the shadow got bigger and closer, the roars growing louder as it soon revealed a 7 foot tall creature, half bull, half man with piercing red eyes, and giant horns on it's head.
“Well guys...it's been good knowing you…” Mise said as he began to shake a bit while Lyra and Bon Bon hide behind Tidal as they clamped onto him tightly, Flash kept Gaige and Vinyl behind him, trying to keep them safe while Jack and Spitfire held onto each other while Octavia clung to Mise whimpering as Indigo hide behind Fang, almost like shield as he yelled “It’s a minotaur!” He screamed as the monster roared even louder than before and snorted out some smoke from its nostrils through a golden ring in it’s nose. The group were struck with fear as the creature soon slammed down it’s fists and shaking the ground, almost making a giant earthquake, knocking the group backwards and onto their asses.
They soon got back up and began to scatter away as Mise saw a doorway behind the monster as he yelled to the group “Quick! Follow me and fast!” Mise said as he grabbed Octavia and held her bridal style as the group made a Banzai charge towards the monster as Mise headed for the door behind it. Fang quickly picked Indigo up on his back and charged after Mise while Flash quickly grabbed Gaige and Vinyl as he quickly through them through the doorway
“BANZAI!!!!!!” She screamed through the air as they landed through the doorway as he ran for the doorway after them, while Tidal quickly picked up Lyra and BonBon and booking it the doorway as Spitfire quickly grabbed Jack’s hand and ran through the doorway as Flash quickly through a rock at the door switch on the other end as they all stopped for a minute to catch their breaths.
On the other end of the haunted maze Warhawk was leading his group to find an exit “Damn it…. There has to be an exit around here somewhere….” He said until a familiar voice spoke up “W-Where the hell am I?” The voice said as the group saw Rainbow Dash hooked up to a device that looked like a brazen bull as she was hooked to the floor by her neck in a chain like collar.
The group gasped as Eclipse spoke up “Rainbow!? What are you doing here?” He asked when a voice came up on the speakers, this time a female voice “She’s your first step to getting out of course!! You have 30 seconds to save your friend, you can’t move more than 5 feet, if you can do it, you all go free, if you can’t...well it's roasted Rainbow for dinner! Good luck…” The voice said as the mic system cut back out and a giant timer started counting down.
The group started to panic, but tried to keep themselves calm as Warhawk tried to think “Alright, so how are we going to do this? We can’t move more than five feet…. Wait… Five feet, of course!” He yelled as Soul was a little confused by this “What do you mean man?” He asked as Warhawk soon grabbed Soul by the shoulders
“It’s easy man! It’s like a Saw movie, we just need to think around it!” He said as Eclipse realized it “I got it!” He said as he walked four feet forward “Warhawk! Give me your shoe!” He yelled as he nodded and tossed it to Eclipse as caught it and threw it at the button near the brazen bull, soon releasing the collar around Rainbow’s neck as she quickly leapt off the trap as it closed and activated, shooting flames inside “T-Thank’s guys… I… I thought I was going to die…” Rainbow said as she caught her breathe.
Just then, the mic clicked back to life as slow clapping could be heard “Very good, little ones, very good...as promised, you’re free.” The voice said as a door on the other side of the room opened up. The group without thinking soon ran out the door as Warhawk quickly put his shoe back on and ran through the doorway, to only find it was just another room “Faust damn you!” Warhawk screamed at the top of his lungs as he punched a wall.
Back over to Artemis and Friends….
The group was resting a little bit and taking a breather at the park when Trixie spoke up “D-Do you think we lost him?” She asked half panicked as Artemis nodded a little “I…. I think so….” He had said, but unsure himself as the group leaned back a bit in their seats, trying to catch their breath “W-What should we do? C-Call the police?” Rapid asked as Sugarcoat shook her head “Not many police officers are on duty on this night, which is ironic and stupid if you ask me.” She said with a deadpanned face while Alchemy shook his head
“No… What’s stupid is that we're going to die, at the hands of some rooster masked freak!” Alchemy almost yelled as the kids were freaking out, while Aria soon yelled “Everyone just shut up!” She yelled as everyone soon shut up “Thank you, now we can't just be running around, or screaming our heads off, or just being how we are now…. We all need to have level heads, alright?” She said as the group slowly nodded and sighed “S-Sorry guys…” Alchemy had said as the group started to apologize to each other, bringing a small smile to Aria and the man’s face as he kept hidden in the shadows of the trees.
The group soon got back up “So… what do we do now? I mean, what can we do? This guy will probably hunt us down like Jason or even Michael Myers…. We need to have a plan.” Lone had said as Sunny nodded and kept close to Lone, while Artemis began to think
“Well why don’t we try and find those girls from earlier.” Artemis proposed as the group nodded “Yeah… yeah! Maybe they could help us subdue him or something, you know?” Sunny had said while the group agreed that was until they heard a small hum, that could be only said could have been of the hum Quiet had did in Metal gear as some of the group knew what that meant
“O-Oh no….” Rapid had said as the group slowly turned to where the hum had came from when a figure began to slowly stretched out of the shadows to reveal the man again, gently tapping the bat against the trees as the group slowly got up as Artemis held his hands up defensively “Alright you, what is it you want? Why do you keep following us?” Artemis asked trying to confront the mysterious figure, as it just stood quietly but soon reached into it’s pocket as the group feared for the worst, until it pulled out a tape recorder.
The group was a little confused by this, until he soon pressed the buttons “Because it’s fun…” The tape recorder had said as Trixie was shaking in her boots, close to breaking down “W-What’s fun?” She asked quietly as the figure pressed more buttons on it “To get the blood pumping…. On this of all nights….” It had said again in it’s distorted like voice of different sounding tapes mixed together as Artemis soon walked closer to the figure “S-Seriously? W-what do you want from us?” Artemis said shakingly as the figure slowly leaned in, as his mask was mere centimeters from Artemis’s face as he pressed the buttons again “To see what you all look like…. On the inside….”
He said as the tape soon tore apart in a screeching tone giving a even worse distorted voice, soon slowly pushing Artemis back a bit and gently pulling up a little on his mask, only revealing his mouth, speaking in a low tone “Tutti i pagamenti, saranno guidati nel sangue …” He had said in a low tone as the group started to freak out even more as the group soon ran away, but only leaving Aria for a minute as the man chuckled softly as she looked at him funny
“Are you alright in the head?” Aria asked unfazed by the man’s antics as he shook his head “Not really, if you seen what I have seen and experienced what I have become, you would understand….” He said in a quiet tone leaning against the tree and pulling his mask off, but only his jaw was visible as most of his head was kept in the dark.
Aria looked at him with a bit of a worried but sympathetic face “I could say the same to you, why don’t you try me…” Aria said as she sat on the opposite side of the tree as the man sighed “If you really want to know….” He had said as Aria nodded a bit “I’m willing to bet you never decapitated someone with your bare hands…. But to also know that it was a teacher of your school, who turned out to be a sadistic serial killer….” He said in a quiet tone as Aria was shocked by this
“Judging by that description i’m gonna say you did that, but for what it's worth I know this short little guy who probably does and probably a little more.” Aria said trying to tap into the man’s humanity as he slowly nodded “I did…. I only did it in self defense really…. It was either let him hurt everyone I held close and all my friends at the school…. Or take matters into my own hands…. As well it’s fine…. Everyone in my school… even my family has a form of blood on their hands…. But thank you though Miss….”
He had said, giving a soft smile to Aria. Making her give a warm smile to the man “Well you just sound like a good person caught up with a bad past...you want to know what a close friend told me?” Aria asked as she slowly got up “Yeah… I guess so really…. As well sure, I would like that.” He said as Aria smiled warmly
“Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future...remember that and neither can affect you. Anyway I should get back to my friends now.” Aria said as she stood up fully “That’s a nice saying really…. Thank you for telling me that…. As well I hear you…. As well I’m only scaring you guys a bit… for just a little fun, but as well…. I wanted to give the little ones these back.” He said pulling out the candy bags that were now a bit heavier that were now filled with more candy.
Aria gasped a bit, but with a warm smile “So that was you in the woods? Thanks for returning their candy, and you should probably keep that flashlight locked up next time. The girls wouldn’t shut up about it.” Aria said taking the bags and chuckling a bit as the man smiled warmly “It was, as well your welcome…. But as well… I need to tell you something…. I may say my name is Johnny…. But it’s not…. It’s Mike, Mike Reith.” He said slowly extending his hand towards Aria as she soon gripped his hand and shook it as she gave him a small, yet warm smile “Names Aria, Aria Blaze. As well I wanted to say, welcome to Canterlot, Mike.” She had said as Mike nodded with a warm smile “Thank you Aria, now I better go find the girls, you have a great night okay?” He said putting his mask back on as Aria smiled warmly and nodded.
“Got you, as well you too.” She said as he nodded and ran off, when Artemis and the group came back “Aria! Your safe! Oh faust did he hurt you?!” He asked as he held Aria’s shoulders as she giggled softly and shook her head “No, i'm fine...I...just had a good talk with the guy, come on let’s keep going.” Aria said with a warm smile as she held the candy bags up as the kids gasped and took them as Pinkie grabbed hers
“Our candy!” They all cheered with joy as Trixie looked at her “Y-You talked to him? W-What did he say? Did he try anything? Did he try to hurt you?” Trixie asked Aria as she shook her head “No, he didn’t try and hurt me…” Aria said as she looked at the sky
“We have more in common than he realizes, i’ll explain later...in private...” Aria said as the group shrugged it off as the group soon walked away as Mike was sitting in a tree branch as he chuckled softly and looked towards the sky “Guess you’re right about that one Aria… guess you’re right about that….” He said soon jumping down from the tree and walked to a small picnic table as Remaie was sitting there having a smoke as Mike joined her.
Back with Mise and his group….
Mise was walking with the group as they had saved Rarity from one of the traps, but he had somewhat regret it as Rarity was complaining about her hair and her costume “Rarity….I love you as a friend...but after the night we’ve had so far...im going to turn around and put you back in that trap if you don’t stop bitching about your outfit….were trying to escape and rescue anyone else down here no one gives a damn about your clothes or hair…” Mise said extremely irritated and bluntly as Rarity piped down a little
“S-Sorry Mise….” She had said as Fang sighed a little “When we get out of here Rarity, you can fix your clothes up and your hair, but right now, we got to figure out where the hell were going…. I know this place is a fucking maze…. But it’s one from hell if you ask me, it’s more like that game until dawn…. Except were fighting monsters and not reperfused, discount rakes.”
He said as Indigo giggled softly “Ohhhh! Burning a great game!” She said giggling a bit as the group rolled their eyes a little when Fang hit a small button on the ground as a wall soon fell as a large barrage of arrows launched at the group “DUCK!” Jack yelled as everyone fell to the ground, as the arrows whizzed by and embedding themselves into the wall across from them as the group slowly got up
“W-What the hell was that!?” Spitfire asked in a scared tone as Gaige clung to Flash’s back again as he turned to Mise “What the hell do we do man?!” Flash asked in a almost panicked tone as Mise began to look around the room a little, to soon find four iron maiden like doors, covered in barbed wire and had a small opening in the middle of each one.
Soon the mic system kicked on again “Well, well, well kiddies…. Looks like you are starting to find my traps again… hope you’re all having fun so far, cause I certainly am.” He had said with a sickening cackle as Mise shouted at the mic system “You can take your jokes….AND SHOVE THEM UP YOUR ASS!!!” Mise said as he unhooked his axes and began to go...well..beserk on the traps, slashing and hacking the barbed wire to pieces.
He then turned around panting heavily “Fang...you’re the videogame expert here...these look familiar to you? I think the sick fucks doing this are using pop culture ideas and that includes video games…” Mise said as Fang nodded and walked up to the doors and gently placed his hand on one.
“Iron maiden doors…. Resident Evil Revelations 2, same trap in the factory, though we're not against the clock this time….” He said soon looking around a little to find a small opening not far from the doors “Indigo, give me a hand real quick.” He had said as she nodded as Fang quickly boosted her up to the hole as she climbed inside as Mise looked at him
“Fang...I hope you know what you’re doing…” Mise said as he picked up a stick and made another torch seeing as how it was getting dark again. “I do man, it’s really easy and….” He said as Indigo spoke up “Third door.” She said as Fang smiled and reached into the iron maiden and turned the handle as it soon opened inwards like a normal door, revealing Indigo behind it “Ta da, told you we know what we are doing.” He said with a small smile.
“You two are something else, I swear. Never let each other go or i'll hunt you down and do my thing.” Mise said as he walked through the door while Fang chuckled softly and walked through “Hey, you play a ton of horror games with puzzles, you start picking up on things.” He had said while Indigo held the door open for the rest of the group as Fang stood next to her and helped keep it open
“I got it Tibz.” She had said as Fang chuckled and shook his head “Na, I want to help, as well.” He had said soon gently kissing Indigo on the lips “Thank you, for the help.” He said with a kind tone as Indigo giggled softly with a soft blush “T-Thanks Tibz.” Indigo had said as the group soon walked down the hall as Rarity squeed a little “Aww! That is so sweet!” She had said as the two blushed a little deeply.
Over with Warhawk’s group…
Warhawk was leading his group through the maze as Flash and Gaige almost landed into a snake pit that looked to be about fifteen feet deep. “Okay, seriously?! What are Cosmic, Tiberious, and especially that sadistic bastard Celtic thinking!?” Gaige said as she stepped away from the edge “I don’t know who they are, but if they’re the ones who locked us in here, their asses just hung vacancy signs and my foot is looking for a room” Warhawk said as he jumped over the pit and landed on the other side. The group copied warhawk and jumped the snake pit as Flash stepped on a loose tile causing him to stumble back as a cloud of arrows shot out of the wall and stuck flash to the opposite wall, forming perfectly around his body.
“BAKA!!!” Gaige screamed as she pried Flash off the wall. “How did that not kill you?” Warhawk asked. “I’m not sure, but I’m not complaining.” Flash said before Gaige punched him in the arm. “Ow, What!?” Flash asked glaring at the girl. “That’s for falling for such an obvious trap.” Gaige said.
“Oh come on anyone of us could have fallen for that.” Flash said crossing his arms. “Yet you were the one who fell for it.” Gaige said. Before Flash could respond Warhawk spoke up. “Look, not that I don’t find this argument amusing, but I’d like for us to leave before one of us dies.” He said with a annoyed tone.
They all could hear the annoyance in his tone as the group nodded a little and began to walk through the maze a little more as Warhawk sighed “I hate places like this… no matter how many damn puzzle games you could play…. You will never get good at them…” He said with annoyance as Sonata giggled softly “Kind of like that time you got so mad at that one puzzle game, and Soul was the only one who could solve it?” Sonata asked as Eclipse snickered softly
“What puzzle was that? And what do mean by one of us dying? I mean it's not like the walls in here are going to start closing in on us or anything.” Eclipse said and almost as if a sign from above, the walls starts to shake and grind as they visibly started moving. “I'm going to kill all of you if we make it out of this alive…” Gaige said just as annoyed as Warhawk as the group started running like bats out of hell down the passageway.
“Eclipse! You really need to shut up at times!” Warhawk yelled as they soon reached the next room when they all slammed into the other group, all falling onto the ground “Ow…. what the fuck was that!?” Fang had yelled as Warhawk got up “The other side of hell, who the hell do you expect?” He asked as Mise got up seeing the other group. “Good to see you too, so no exit, huh? Figures…” Mise said slamming his axe into a nearby wall in frustration.
“Mise, just calm down, now what did you guys find? Anything?” Octavia said trying keep Mise calm as she turned back to Warhawk’s group “Well we know who’s running this maze and we all know them very well.” Warhawk said with a growl. “Yea that guy in the joker costume last year is back and this time I think he really is trying to kill us.” Vinyl said hugging herself. “You see this is exactly why I didn’t want to go out for halloween this year.” Rainbow had said holding her head. “Too late for that, right now we need to find a way out of here.” Eclipse said.
“I know Quill asked this last year, but has anyone tried using their phones?” Warhawk asked. Everyone in the room immediately facepalmed after hearing this. “Seriously why do we keep forgetting we have phones?” Rainbow asked in an annoyed tone.
“Because Cosmic, Celtic and Tiberious thought it would be funny if we did.” Treble said only to have Rainbow punching in the head. “We don’t have time for your nonsense, be serious for once.” Rainbow said glaring at Treble. “Well excuse me for trying to lighten the mood, you seem to forget I’m the comic relief in this special.” Treble said proudly.
“Wait Treble….what are you doing here and…..what are you wearing…?” Mise asked as his eye twitched a bit. The group heard this and looked at treble who was wearing a costume and holding a bull’s head, all of it matching the Minotaur from earlier.
“Uh…I can explain…” Treble said as the group had fire in their eyes and looked ready to kill him “So….who wants first crack? I call dibs on his head.” Mise said prying his axe out of the wall. “We call breaking his legs…” Fang had said cracking his knuckles while Indigo cracked her neck as Warhawk chuckled darkly “And I’ll take whatever’s left of him.” He said with a sadistic smile.
The group then started chasing Treble through the corridors. “Wait I said I can explain!” Treble yelled as he ran from everyone. “You can explain all you want treble…..BUT FIRST WE’RE KICKING YOUR ASS!!” Vinyl screamed in anger. Treble ran as fast as he could and came to a hallway with three doors on each side.
“Please let one of them be a exit.” Treble prayed as he went through the second door on the left. The group came to the hallway and saw the six doors. “Split up and find him.” Warhawk had said as the group nodded and split up into small groups as they all split into the three separate rooms, however that is exactly what Joker and Harley wanted as she spoke up through the speakers when the groups entered the rooms and the doors locked with an electronic lock.
“Well well well, look puddin, they fell right into our trap...how nice of them…” Harley said over the speaker “Very true my darling, hope the kiddies love our fun little games we have for them… Oh! It looks like Christmas has come really early for us this year….” He had said as the groups had found the rest of their friends sitting before them in different traps. “So who wants to be the brave hero of the group and go first? Hmmm? Don’t be shy…” Harley said as the group looked around to each other as Soul stepped forward
“I’ll play your stupid game, so what do i have to do? Figure out how to get out of this room or something?” Soul asked crossing his arms “Oh no no no no, it's much more simple than that...you have to choose between two things you love the most, can you guess what they are?” Joker said as the lights dimmed down almost all the way. “Uh….Star Wars and...Video Games?” Soul guess as Harley cackled.
“You’re funny kid! If you leave you should become a stand up... but no, you have to choose…..between…….your girlfriend, Sunset shimmer….and your cousin Applejack...who you choose lives, while the other…. well let's just say they won’t be so lucky…” Harley said laughing manically as two spotlights shined above Sunset and Applejack.
Both were unconscious and strapped in chairs with a giant saw blade in front of them. Applejack was the first to wake up. “Ugh w-what happened….hey why can’t I move?” Applejack asked as shook her her. Once her grogginess faded, she got a good look at where she was and she started to freak. “WHAT THE HELL, LET ME OUT OF HERE!!” Applejack screamed as struggled to get free. “Keep it down AJ, I’m trying to sleep.” Applejack turned to see Sunset who was slowly waking up. “Sunset wake up, we are in deep shit right now!” Applejack yelled. Sunset shook her head and allowed her eyes to adjust.
“What do you me- WHAT THE HELL!” Sunset screamed in horror. If Soul was any more pale than he already was, the others would have mistaken him for a ghost. After a few seconds, a small lever with two arrows pointing left and right appeared in front of Soul. “Tick-Tock Soul, either you kill your cousin, kill your girlfriend or…... I could kill them both AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” Jokers laugh filled each of the rooms, making everyone shiver.
Soul on the other hand was completely at a loss for words. “I….I…..I can’t-” “You better, you have thirty seconds before they’re both dead.” Harley said with a cackle. Soul’s heart literally felt as if was going to break. Sunset and Applejack looked at Soul with terrified looks on their faces. “Soul come on you’re not going to kill your own flesh and blood are ya?” Applejack asked with tears in her eyes. “No Soul please we’ve been through so much together, you can’t let me die!” Sunset said also with tears in her eyes.
Soul felt one dagger after another pierced his heart, the two girls he cares for more than anything and he has to choose between them. “20 seconds Soul.” Harley said. Soul looked up with tears in his eyes and reached for the lever. “Applejack…...Sunset…..I’m sorry.” Soul said as he pulled the lever left and after he did Applejack’s saw began to spin and move closer to her. “SOUL HOW COULD YOU!!” Applejack screamed.
As the saw drew closer to Applejack, Sunset’s bindings were released and a door to the other side open. “SUNSET PLEASE DON’T LEAVE ME, I BEG YOU!!!” Applejack pleaded. Sunset nodded and went over to AJ to try and free her, but as soon as she touched the hand restraints she received an electric shock causing her to fall to the ground. “Ah ah ah, can’t have you saving your friend now can we and I’d get out of there if I were you Ms.Shimmer.”
Joker said laughing. “Sunset…..get out of her.” Applejack said looking down. Sunset looked to Applejack and then to the saw. “No I can’t-” “He chose you didn’t he, so you need to get out of here.” Applejack said. “I...I-” “It’s ok, I’m...I’m not mad…..just...just do me a favor.” Applejack said. Sunset nodded. “Take care of Applebloom and Soul. I know you’ll be mad at him when you get out, but don’t leave him. He cares about you alot and the reason he picked you is the proof.” Applejack said with a smile.
Sunset felt her heart breaking and her tears wouldn’t stop flowing. “Ok I will.” Sunset said getting up and running to the door. As she made it through the door, she ran into Soul’s arms and completely broke down. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so so sorry.” She said. Applejack looked at the two and smiled, she then looked at the saw blade. “Alright Joker you want my life, well COME AND GET IT!!” Applejack screamed, but just as the blade came into contact with her body she felt…...fine? Applejack looked down to see the blade spinning, but it wasn’t cutter her and it felt like plastic. “What...the….hell?” Applejack asked.
“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! That was the best yet.” Joker said as he and harley were laughing away. Soul Sunset and Applejack were all confused at first, but then the truth came crashing down of them like a ton of bricks. “We...we were never in any danger?” Sunset asked. “That’s correct Ms.Shimmer and Ms. Apple you’re free to go.” As soon as Joker said that, Applejack’s restraints released her and she quickly ran out of the room.
The trio quickly met up with the group in a nearby corridor as the guys were consoling their crying girlfriends as they heard the footsteps of the trio and looked up “APPLEJACK!!!!!” the group screamed as they charged her like a group of crazed fans looking for an autograph. “Oh my faust, you have no idea how happy we are to see you!!” Spitfire said as the group gave their own comments of relief and happiness
“Normally i’d continue searching the maze for those two, but I say, we go home and let the police deal with this one. I need a whole bottle of the rare ol’ mountain dew….” Mise said rubbing his temples as some of the group looked at him weird “Er...what?” Jack asked as Octavia spoke up “Irish moonshine.” Octavia said as everyone nodded “Okay, enough chit chat, let's get the fuck out before we push our luck anymore” Warhawk said as everyone nodded and looked around till they saw a small hatch with a ladder
“There! Let's go!” Tidal said as the group made a mad dash for the ladder as they climbed up the ladder and breathed a breath of fresh air and freedom “Oh sweet faust…. W-Were free!” Eclipse had yelled with joy as the group climbed out of the cave maze and started to help the rest of the group out of the place as they soon breathed a bit more of the fresh, mountain air and started to stare off towards the stars
“I thought I would never be happy to see the moon and stars again in the woods…” Fang had said with a soft smile while the group nodded as Mise soon started to make his way down the mountain “Well, I don’t know about you guys…. But I think it’s time we all should get home now…. I think it would be best to get as far away from this place….” He had said as the group had nodded and followed behind him and soon back onto the forest path.
The group soon had said their goodbye’s and left the area as Mise and Octavia started to walk down the path trying to look for his tank “This has been one hell of a night….” Mise had said as Octavia nodded “Yeah…. H-hopefully things will be better….” She said still shaking like a leaf while Mise wrapped his arm around her “Here, stay close to me and you’ll be warm, honey.” Mise said as Octavia smiled warmly and kissed Mise “Thanks sweetie.”
The pair continued walking till they decided to take a rest on a log. “Let's rest for a few minutes, we’ve been running all night.” Mise said as he took off the bear skin and wrapped it around the both of them for warmth as they suddenly heard a voice call out “Hey! You two alright?” The voice called as Octavia clung to Mise tightly as Mise almost jumped a little as they turned to see Mike and most of the girls sitting around a roaring campfire.
With them was a women with a bit more tanned skin with a darker brown hair with light blue eyes who was dressed in a familiar black cat women outfit was sitting between Remaie and Mike. The two were a little uneasy as Mise was about to speak up until the woman gasped “It’s our king!” She yelled happily as Mise felt he was going pale for a minute “Oh...no, first the Joker and Harley, now Catwoman?! Someone call Batman!”
Mise said as he felt like he was going to be sick “Uh… Vanessa? You know this guy?” Mike asked as the woman now who was known as Vanessa giggled happily and nodded “Yeah! He was the guy I was telling you about from Comic-con!” She had said happily as the group nodded “Ohh… so this was the guy…. Huh big sis?” Remaie asked as her eyes were glassy, red and slightly squinted while Mise looked at the group oddly while Octavia tried to keep warm with the bear pelt
“Mise, if you can get your...subject...to lets us warm up by their fire, I won’t rip your nuts off for whatever happened at Comic-Con…” Octavia said glaring at Mise “Hehehehe, V-Vanessa, your king requests access to your fire so I can stay a king not become a queen…” Mise said shaking as Vanessa smiled warmly “Of course, anyone can have access to our fire.”
She had said with a warm smile as Mise thanked her and helped Octavia to the fire as the two sat down across from the small group. Wave was snuggled up to Mike as he was sharing a cigarette with Remaie while Crystal sighed “Why must you two use that stuff…. I shall never know…” She had said as Mise and Octavia looked at Crystal “What stuff? Tobacco?” Mise asked as Mike shook his head
“Na man, from where we come from it's called ‘Cat nip’, but this stuff ain’t for a normal kitty cat.” He said as Vanessa hit him upside the head and whispered quietly to him “What did we say about that word?” She whispered to him as Mike looked at her and whispered back “That is only if it’s an insult sis, and just face it you’re dressed as a cat….” He whispered back angrily.
Mise and Octavia looked on as Mike soon turned back to them “Sorry about that, anyway you want to try a little? It helps keep the edge off, as you can tell from our sister here.” He said motioning to Remaie as she was staring off into space as Mise and Octavia looked at each other “Hmmm...I’ll take a few hits, I mean it's better than what's in my cigars…” Mise said as Mike nodded and handed Mise the cigarette as he took a hit and passed it on
“Mise, i’ll let it slide given the night we’ve had.” Octavia said as she passed on taking a hit “Let me guess, crazy night huh?” Crystal asked taking a hit and passing it on to Wave as she took a small hit
“Like you wouldn’t believe, but just a quick re-cap, we got trapped in a haunted house which was also an old abandoned mine and were tormented in the maze by a couple of serial killer clowns and their elaborate death traps and obstacles and at the end of the maze they made our friend Soul choose whether he would kill his girlfriend or his cousin, both of which he holds closer to him than anything else and after making his choice. Thinking he killed his cousin he later find out it was a cruel joke set up by the clowns. But the same clowns pulled the same crap last year, but they’re not enough weed and booze here right now to open that can of worms.”
Mise said as he got the joint passed to him and took a hit and passed it on “Fuck man… that is insane, I guess anywhere you go, everywhere you can go and see, insanity will follow.” He said Octavia passed the joint to Crystal and was taking a hit from it, while Octavia nodded “This town could hold the title of ‘craziest city in the world’ like a bucket does water.” Octavia said.
“Crazy…. And we thought our school was insane….” Wave had said as Remaie fell asleep on Mike’s shoulder as Mike nodded “Yeah, I guess ‘insane’ is the title for a lot of things nowadays….” He had said as Mise nodded as he took another hit and passed it on “Yeah, me, my life, our school, this town…..my girlfriend…” Mise said the last one quietly as Mike and the girls snickered and laughed a bit
“Stories of our lives man…. Stories of our lives….” Mike said as his smile started to fall a little “Though…. Through the insanity…. You begin to question a lot… for one even if Remaie was still awake…. She would hit me for this one…. I still feel like I will turn into a monster…. Just like our teacher before us….” He had said as the two looked at him oddly
“I don’t know the context behind that, but trust me, I did become a monster, but I managed to slay that part of me, i found the love of my life, I found our friends, I found reasons to find faith in life again. Just remember, every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future...I’m proof of both of these…”
Mise said taking a hit and smiling warmly at the group as he passed the joint along as Mike chuckled softly “You know…. I think you are the one that Aria was talking about.” He had said as Octavia took a hit from the joint while Crystal giggled softly
“Was she the one with that group of friends from the grocery store?” She asked as Mike chuckled and nodded “Yup!” He said as the group bursted out laughing as Mise looked at them “So...you know our friends….Johnny?” Mise said taking a shot in the dark “Depends really, was two of the dressed as Pokemon characters, Maleficent, bacon and eggs and a bunch of little kids?”
Mike asked as Mise nodded “Yeah, that’s only half of them though. The other half though were with us in the maze.” Mise said taking another hit and passing it along as Crystal giggled softly “Well Johnny here had some fun with them.” She had said giggling as Mike chuckled “Oh yeah, it was fun as hell.” He said as Izzy walked out of the bushes with Moon “Mr. Snuggles! We got the marshmallows!” Izzy said happily.
Mike chuckled softly “Sweet! Thanks you two.” He said as he took a hit from the joint and passed it on as Vanessa took a hit “To be honest, I think they deserve a good scare after some of the crap they’ve pulled over the years, just as long as no one got hurt or were at risk of being, im cool. Can’t say the same about our half of the night...” Mise said as Vanessa passe the joint to Mise who took a hit
“I hear you man, don’t worry they just got a good scare from ‘Jacket’ The Homicidal Maniac.” He said chuckling softly as Octavia took a hit and passed it back to Crystal “Ahh… such a crazy night tonight has been….” She had said as she snuggled up to Mike’s jacket as he kicked back “Yup… hopefully your guys night will get better, you know?”
He had said as Mise shrugged a bit “I guess, me and Octy are just going to go straight home and crash.” Mise said as Octavia took a hit and nodded “Yeah, we are absolutely exhausted.” Octavia said passing the joint to Crystal as she took a hit “I hear you two, it’s been a really crazy night and we wish you two good luck getting home, and have a great night. As well if you see your other friends, tell them Johnny says hi… and that I will be back again for more fun.” He said chuckling a bit as Moon giggled softly and threw some marshmallows at him “You need to stop alright? We're happy you are slowly becoming happy again, but no scarring alright?” She asked as he chuckled and nodded “Alright, no more scarring…. For now…” He said with a small smile and took a hit from the joint as Mise nodded and got up with Octavia.
“I hear you, anyway you all have a great night, we need to get home.” Mise said as the group nodded “Alright, you two have a safe night.” Mike had said as the two nodded and waved goodbye to the group and soon left to go find Mise’s tank, leaving the group to their campfire.
Artemis’s House
Artemis, Aria, and Diana had walked everyone to their house’s and were now walking the walkway up to Artemis’s house. “Ugh, tonight was a nightmare.” Diana said looking down. “Aww come on Diana, at least you got half a bag of candy.” Artemis said putting a hand on her shoulder. “BUT IT’S NOT A FULL BAG!!” Diana whined. “Calm down kiddo, be grateful you got candy tonight.” Aria said ruffling Diana’s hair.
Diana pouted and crossed her arms. “Yea you’re right.” Diana said smiling. “Good girl.” Aria said. The trio had made their way inside and as they did they found Selene waiting for them. “You’re late!” Selene said sternly. “We can explain!” Diana and Artemis said simultaneously. “No Explanations, Diana bed now!.” Selene said pointing to the stairs.
Diana’s face fell in defeat and she went upstairs. When Selene heard Diana’s door close, she smiled at Aria and Artemis. “I was hoping you two would be back earlier, you missed a great show.” She said. “Yea we would have been back earlier, but some guy was chasing us around town.” Artemis said as he and Aria sat on walked into the living room.
“So tell us, how bad was it?” Aria asked. “Look for yourself.” Selene said pressing a button on a remote. After a few seconds, the TV turned on and on the screen was Warhawk, Eclipse and the others in the maze. “I feel so bad for doing this.” Artemis said looking at the screen. “Aww come on Arrow it’s all is good- WHAT THE HELL!!” Aria screamed as she saw Sunset and Applejack strapped to a chair. Artemis looked equally shocked and watched as Soul was forced to choose between Sunset and Applejack.
“W-Who….w-who the hell did this!? This is downright sadistic!?” Aria said as Artemis shook his head. “I know you….wait you didn’t set that up?” He asked. “No I didn’t, I mean I’m mean Arrow, but I’m not evil….well not anymore.” Aria said. Artemis raised an eyebrow at this and then looked to his mother who had a sheepish smile on her face.
“Mom you didn’t, did you?” Artemis asked. “Well you both looked like you were having so much fun with this, I just wanted to contribute.” Selene said scratching the back of her head. Artemis and Aria looked at Selene with slacked jaws and wide eyes. “Ok Aria we’re never doing this again.” Artemis said pinching the bridge of his nose. “Agreed, I think we’ve done enough for two halloweens.” Aria said.
