"Princess Twilight?!" Sunset exclaims, having been the first to turn around and see the Princess of Friendship standing in front of the portal.
"This is a pleasant surprise, but what are you doing here darling?" Rarity asks.
"After I read the message from Sunset about those weird stones you found, I noticed a rainbow colored stone on the desk by the journal." Princess Twilight says as she pulls the stone in question from her bag. "I figured that it had something to do with those other stones you found."
"Let me see." Ness says as he steps towards Princess Twilight.
"I'm sorry, but I don't think we've met." Princess Twilight says as she reluctantly hands the stone over.
"This is Ness." Sci-Twi says as Ness puts the stone to his forehead. "He helped me to permanently defeat Midnight Sparkle."
"So you're the one from the other universe!" Princess Twilight says as realization strikes. "Sunset told me all about you. The ting that interests me the most is your PSI. I'd love to learn more about sometime." She would've kept talking, but was interrupted by Ness.
"This is a Melody Stone. It will complete the Eight Melodies once the Princess here touches her Sanctuary."
"I'm sorry? A Sanctuary?"
"We'll explain later. We have to find your Sanctuary first." Rainbow says as she turns to Pinkie. "You see anything Pinkie?"
Everyone watches Pinkie closely, but she doesn't start to shake.
"Uh, Pinkie? Anytime now."
She still doesn't shake. "I don't know why my Pinkie Sense isn't working." Pinkie says glumly. "We can't find that Sanctuary without it."
"Maybe your Pinkie Sense isn't working because you've already found the Princess's Sanctuary." Another voice responds as a light purple skinned girl emerges from the portal.
"Who's that?" Twilight's Canterlot High friends ask.
"That, my friends, is my pupil in friendship, Starlight Glimmer. I don't know why she followed me here though."
"I followed you because I can't let you get the last Melody."
"Uh, Starlight?"
"She's under the influence of Giygas!" Sci-Twi says as Ness puts his hand to his chin in thought. 'What could be so special here that Giygas would draw someone from another universe to protect it?' Then it hit him.
"The Portal is the Sanctuary!"
"What?!" Everyone except for Starlight says.
"That's the only thing I can think of around here that's of significant importance that we haven't already visited." Ness explains. "That's why Giygas took control of Starlight's mind. So that we wouldn't be able to complete the melody even if we found Princess Twilight." Ness turns towards the Princess and returns the rainbow colored stone to her. "Princess Twilight. I need you to touch this stone to the portal. The moment you do, the energy associated with it will be absorbed into the stone in the form of a short Melody, and Starlight will return to her senses. We need this Melody so we can save this world from destruction!" Ness looks at everyone surrounding him. "And we'll keep Starlight from preventing you from collecting the Melody!" Everyone else nods their agreement, and Rainbow uses her magic to tackle Starlight to the ground.
Twilight walks up to the portal and places the stone against the surface of it. Instantly, the stone begins to glow in a myriad of colors as it starts to get warmer in Princess Twilight's hand. As if on cue, everyone else's Melody Stones starts to play their portions of the melody in the order they were obtained, until Princess Twilight's stone plays the last portion of the tune. It's then that everyone's stone floats out of their pockets and combines with the pendants that grant them their magical abilities, increasing those skills exponentially, and implanting how to play the melody and the lyrics for said melody in their memories. Lastly, Princess Twilight's stone transforms into a necklace that her all of her magical abilities while she remains here in Sci-Twi's universe.
Pinkie then starts to shake. "We need to pay this melody in front of Giygas. All eight of us." She says as Starlight returns to her senses.
"I suggest we take everyone else home." Ness says as he turns to the others. "We don't want anyone getting hurt."
