//------------------------------// // A re-kindling from beneath the sheets // Story: Quite Possibly, The Best Snuggle Ever! // by Blueberry-Dash //------------------------------// You stayed up late that night, very late. Hours spent doing practically anything to feel close to your long lost friend. But after that encounter you had a while back, which lead you all into this, you couldn't help but wonder a great many things. Thinking about it, it seems unlikely that some magical being actually did visit you. But still there can be no mistaking at the same time that the two of you did meet each other, you remember looking at the time which you understood perfectly, as in a dream the image should have been completely distorted. As amazing as this discovery was, you feel that it's best not to tell anyone about it, just yet. The time reads 2:32 am and you decide to hit the hay, lying there in bed you feel a part of you still misses that wonderful little experience the two of you shared. But alas a deep sadness washes over you as you distinctly remember there being no way you could see her again, and with that thought alone you fall asleep, as teardrop rolls down your cheek, hitting the side of your pillow. Suddenly you begin to feel a very strange sensation coming from the center of your body, within what seems like a fraction of a millisecond, you feel your entire self implode inwards and everything goes dark for a brief moment. At this point you cannot tell what is up or down, left or right, there is no forwards or backwards. No gravity or weight to your being, you can't even feel if you have a body left. No arms or legs, or even eyes to look with. Regaining come vision, albeit very blurry. You can feel yourself falling. Not too far, maybe about 5 feet. You hit the ground with a soft thud. 'What is this checkerboard floor?' "Hey there, oh dear you look like you hit your head a little there, let me help you up". Said a very familiar voice from across the room. Starting to regain control of your senses a little better, your eager to study your surroundings but hearing that voice brought a feeling of excitement back that you thought had long since died. You know exactly who it is, but where you are is a mystery right now. The sound of hooves come trotting across the floor, and suddenly you feel two soft hooves gently lift up your face. "Hang on, don't I know you?" She asks. Sitting there shaking with nerves, you ask how on earth you could have gotten here. Where ever here is. The room you are sat in is extremely grand indeed, a beautiful round room with a very high ceiling scented with a deep lavender aroma that seemed to lightly fill the air. The checkerboard floor made out of a glistening marble painted in dark and light blue squares. There were deep reddish purple curtains that hung all around the arch windows with little golden tassels that tied neatly at the ends. On the ceiling hung a beautiful chandelier, with incredibly detailed carved shapes that caused the purple contrasts in the room to bounce off one another, attaining a lilac glow as it shone on the walls. Along the far side of the room was a huge oval shaped bookcase, with books going all the way up to the ceiling. In the center of the room was a large four poster bed, with light purple sheets patterned with suns, moons and stars. As much as this place seemed rich and expensive, it had a feel to it that immediately softened the heart. As if the very personality and soul of whoever it belonged to had personified it throughout that entire space. "I do remember you!" She said as her wings spread out in surprise, she seemed happy as she said this however. You ask her where you are and how you could have gotten there, but before you can finish your sentence she suddenly gives you a huge hug. And just for a moment, you forget all about it. Her soft fur presses into your face, her sent blowing up your nose, enveloping you in a loving embrace. Whatever this is, it definitely seems like the same Twilight you met back on earth. "Okay, I'm going to explain everything to you. This might be a little weird so please try not to freak out ok? I..I'm not sure exactly how your going to take this". She said in a more serious tone that none the less did its best to reassure you. "Your no longer in your world anymore, your actually in mine. A place called Equestria, and in a completely different universe from yours. Where you are right now time passes differently because of the enormous distance you've travelled. But, because your also in a different universe time is also warped in relation to where you should be. Meaning, time here passes much slower than back on your world." She said as she started to draw on a Blackboard in equations you have never seen before, nor understood. But all of this talking of time that she did was really making you blush, only because she did it so confidently yet so humbly without even realizing herself how much of a smarty pants she is. You start to think to yourself how can this be bad news? Not only are you finding out that other universes actually exist, thus confirming the multiverse theory. But that you actually get to spend as long as you like here and time on earth still hasn't passed very much. However she goes onto say... "You see when I came to see you that morning, the time spell I did is only supposed to work on me. However one of the elements to the spell, fuchi-fidoria affecatalatarius (which is a base element used in love spells) must have latched onto you through some biological interaction. The only problem is not infection, but that there is no way back. It seems like the time energy reverberated from a connection we must have shared, sending you back here" She said in a solemn voice. You can't see how this is sad, but you remember shedding a tear that morning which must be the biological interaction she was talking about. "I'm really sorry about all of this, and I promise I'll do my very best to make things right. This is a variable that me and Cadence should have seen coming. There are instances where certain humans can have a special connection to us and that time energy, because it has to be split with fuchi-fidoria affecatalatarius. We just didn't think it could actually happen and because you cannot time travel yourself, your body has been ripped through time. Taking away the threads of energy needed to repel you back to your own universe" She said looking down at the floor, as the weight of guilt was beginning to cement in. Now you see what's going on here, she just feels awful about something that she didn't consider before and now has you stuck here. The lavender Alicorn was frantically scanning through book after book, when suddenly... "That's it!!" She yelled bouncing up and down. "The spell that I used has a counterpart which will already be working on you as we speak, good old laws of relativity, don't worry you'll be fine. She said in a very relaxed voice as she went on... "As the time I spent with you on your world is two hours, it will take that time to reverse itself. But because it's coming back from a different universe, it kinda might take a little longer, 12... hours longer. So its actually kinda 14 hours in total". She said crossing her hoofs a little as her voice went higher and smiling nervously. Your heart sank, but you couldn't wait to reassure her of how happy you were, that you weren't mad and with that you gave her a pat on the head. "So....what shall we do now?" she said looking up at you. She was really cute. But also right, what do we do now? You don't want to make her bored. But before you can do anything. "I have an Idea, Ill be right back" she said with a smile as she trotted out the door.
