//------------------------------// // No, These are MINE // Story: Cheez-its; the Bane of Canterlot High // by nebulaegalaxy //------------------------------// As of the incident a few weeks ago, no Cheez-its are allowed on the school grounds. Those found in possession of the offending snack-crackers will have them confiscated. ~Vice Principal Luna “What?” Sunset wondered aloud. “Oh, you don’t remember darling?” Rarity asked. “Nooooo?” “Well, it all started when…” Sunset was heading toward the cafeteria with Pinkie and Rainbow. Rainbow had taken a box of Cheez-its out of her bag and was munching on them. She offered some to the other two. “What are those?” Sunset had asked. “Oh silly, these are the most delicious, scrumptious, yum-tastic snack-crackers ever!” Pinkie said around a mouthful. “Never had them.” “WHAT?!” Pinkie gasped, shocked at this news. “Seriously? You gotta try some then!” Rainbow replied, stuffing some more in her mouth. “O-okay, if you insist…” Sunset said reluctantly, sticking her hand in the box and pulling out a couple. She slowly put one in her mouth. She swallowed. “Wow, these are…. Amazing! How come I’ve never heard of them before. Or had any?” Sunset said, reaching for more. “Hey, slow down, you need to have lunch,” Rainbow said after Sunset stuffed some fifty odd crackers into her mouth. Pinkie muttered something about ‘huge cheeks.’ “Can’t I just have these?” Sunset asked, giving Rainbow the puppy eyes. “No, you ca- ARGH DON’T DO THAT!!” “Can’t I just have one more?” Sunset pleaded. “No! These are my Cheez-its! I bought them with my own money! AND I PLAN TO EAT THEM! MOST OF THEM!” Rainbow cried out. Pinkie decided, for unknown reasons, that that was a good time to open the cafeteria doors. The noise of the cafeteria drowned out the yell, so no one really heard it anyway. Until Sunset started yelling back at her. “WHY CAN’T I HAVE ANY MORE?” she demanded.         “BECAUSE YOU’VE ALREADY EATEN HALF THE BOX!” “SO WHAT?!”         “SO GET YOUR OWN! OR PAY HALF THE PRICE!!” Rainbow said, snatching the box away from Sunset. “But I don’t-!” “No buts! These are mine and mine alone. I’m the only one who gets to say who gets some, and you’ve had more than your fair share,” Rainbow said, growing irritated with Sunset. “Um, Rainbow, Sunset, what the hay is goin’ on here?” Rainbow turned to see Applejack and the rest of the cafeteria staring at the shouting match going on between them. “Oh, um, y’see-” “Rainbow brought some Cheez-its to school and Sunset had never had them before she’s never even HEARD of them so of COURSE she had to try some and when she did she was like ‘this is so amazing can I have some more’ and Rainbow said yes but then Sunset had like fifty in her mouth and even I can’t get that many in my mouth I was so shocked but anyway Rainbow said Sunset can’t have anymore and Sunset then asked for just one more little tiny piece please? and Rainbow was like ‘no these are mine and Imma eat all the rest’ which is kinda rude but THEY ARE ACTUALLY HERS and then they started fighting and you all saw that so you should know the rest,” Pinkie said without taking a breath. Everyone stared at Pinkie. “Whaaaaat I just said what I knew,” Pinkie said simply, taking a seat. “Oookay? Well, Pinkie being Pinkie aside, why do you have Cheez-its anyway?” someone in the crowd of people asked. “Because I like Cheez-its. Next question,” Rainbow answered. Someone muttered “Rude,” and Rainbow shot them a glare. “It looks like a new rule is in order…” “Vice Principal Luna! Waaaait what rule?” Sunset asked. “No more Cheez-its on school property.” “B-but-!” “No buts. If you want Cheez-its, you’ll have to wait until school is out. Now, Rainbow, please give me your Cheez-its.” Vice Principal Luna said sternly. Rainbow grumbled as she handed them over. “You may have them back after school, if you still want them, which I believe you might.” That did nothing to stop Rainbow’s, or Sunset’s, for that matter, grumbling. “Anyone found in possession of Cheez-its will have them confiscated and returned to them at the end of the day. This goes for everyone. No exceptions. If they are a planned snack for a party, that party will be cancelled. If it wasn’t planned, it will be ended by either myself or my sister.” “Aww!” everyone groaned at once. “Can we at least have a ‘No-more-Cheez-its’ party? I promise it’ll be the only one!” Pinkie said, hoping Luna would say yes. She was disappointed. “I’m afraid not. However, you could have it somewhere else if you really need to.” Pinkie had to sit on her hands to contain her excitement. She was already planning the color of the balloons. “Now, if that is all, I believe lunch is now over, and you should all return to your classes,” Vice Principal Luna said, leaving the cafeteria after that. She missed the chorus of ‘Aaww’s and ‘Shoot’s she had caused. Needless to say, everyone enjoyed the party, even if it was at Pinkie’s house, in her backyard. “That… Does ring a bell, actually,” Sunset said sheepishly. “Of course it does, darling. I remember seeing you at the party. If I recall correctly, you were stuffing yourself with them, sobbing,” Rarity replied. “Well, I’ve been trying to stay away from Cheez-its for the past few weeks. I’m not entirely surprised I forgot all about it,” Sunset explained. They then went to their classes, Sunset’s mind on Cheez-its throughout the entire class. And the rest of the time at school that day. After school, she used what little money she had to buy herself some boxes of Cheez-its. One box of Original flavor, two boxes of White Cheddar, and one box of Hot and Spicy. They were all empty before the week was out. She didn’t have company all week, and she didn’t go anywhere either. She had eaten them all. A little sad about it at first, but she was alright after a couple weeks. Not that that’s important.
