The next morning, Burst and his friends met to discuss Battle City.
"Okay everyone. Do we all know the new rules for Battle City?", Burst asked.
"Well for starters, every duelist now has eight thousand life points.", Twilight said.
"And each duelist has a locater card. Any duelist who wants to advance to the finals has to collect six locater cards total.", Sunset said.
"But there's also higher stakes this time.", Inferno said, "Remember what Kaiba said in his announcement?"
"How could anyone forget? In addition to the locater card, the winner of the duel can take the loser's rarest card!", Rainbow panicked.
"I couldn't bare to lose any of my precious gem knights!", Rarity said.
"Then how about only me, Inferno, and Burst duel?", Ace asked, "That way none of you have to risk losing your cards. Also, the three of us are some of the best duelists in CHS. We should get to the finals no problem!"
"Good thinking Ace! But we can't get too cocky. The whole city will be caught up in duel madness!", Inferno said.
"No sweat Inferno! You and your friends have all of us to back you up!", Red Eyes said as he materialized.
"There's nothing we can't get through when we fight as one!", Blue Eyes said.
"And there's no way we'd ever leave you hanging!", Dark Magician Girl said with a bright smile.
"What're we waiting for then? Let's go!", Applejack said. Everyone went their separate ways, each eager to find their first opponent. Burst was the first one to find some dueling action. The duel was between one duelists using a warrior deck, and the other was using a mixed deck.
"Now Masked Hero Goka! Attack his life points directly!", Blueblood said, "I've no interest in your cards. Just the locater card please."
"Hey Blueblood. I see you found a deck you love to duel with.", Burst said with a smile.
"Your advice really works. Want to meet some of my monsters? Come on out Masked Heroes!", Blueblood said. As he spoke, eight flashes of light came from his deck and eight monsters that looked like Japanese super heroes appeared.
"Nice to meet you!", they all said.
"The red one is Goka, the green one is Divine Wind, the blue ones are Acid and Vapor, the white one is Koga, the black ones are Dark Law and Anki, and the grey one is Dian.", Blueblood said.
"So care to see how your deck stacks up against mine again?", Burst asked.
"Let's duel!", Blueblood said with a cocky smile.

"I'll make the first move!", Burst said, "I summon Keeper of the Shrine and banish him to summon Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon! Next, I'll use his effect to special summon Blue Eyes White Dragon from my hand! That's it for me. Your move Blueblood."
"First I summon Elemental Hero Flash! Next I play Mask Change! I send Flash to the graveyard to special summon Masked Hero Koga! Now his effect activates! For every monster on your field, he gains 500 attack points! Take down his Blue Eyes with flash slash!", Blueblood said. Koga charged at Blue Eyes and defeated him with one swift strike!

"Nice move Blueblood! But now it's my move!", Burst said, "I reveal one Blue Eyes in my hand to special summon Blue Eyes Alternative! Next I'll use Metal's effect to special summon the Blue Eyes in my hand! I'll use Alternative's effect to destroy your Masked Hero! Darkness Metal and Blue Eyes, attack him directly!"
"DOUBLE DRAGON STRIKE!", the two dragons said as their breath attacks mixed into one! Striking Blueblood directly!

"I summon Elemental Hero Shadow Mist! Now I activate Mask Change to special summon Elemental Hero Anki!", Blueblood said, "Now I'll use his effect! He can attack you directly, but the damage is halved! That's it for me. Your move."

"My move!", Burst said, "I'll overlay my Blue Eyes and Blue Eyes Alternative to xyz summon Galaxy Eyes Prime Photon Dragon! Now I'll use him as xyz material to xyz summon Galaxy Eyes Full Armor Photon Dragon! I'll use his effect now! I detach one overlay unit to destroy your face up monster! Now Galaxy Eyes! Attack him directly! Full Armor Photon Stream!" Galaxy Eyes roared as he summoned a laser that vaporized Enki, and released a powerful beam of energy that struck Blueblood directly!
"This duel just screamed anime.", Galaxy Eyes said with a joking smile.

"Good duel Burst. I might not have won, but I had fun. Here's my two locater cards.", Blueblood said with a smile.
"Thanks. I had fun too. See ya around!", Burst said, 'Halfway to the finals already! Three more locater cards to go!'
