I'm not sure how alicorns fit in with spirits, but I would have to wonder if a spirit of Whispers could erase Celestia's memory of a pony. After all, Goldtongue is an ambassador after all, wouldn't he have dealings routinely with her? I'd imagine she would know about him having a goddaughter.
Then again, that probably might give her more reason to send in the wonderbolts when that pirate kidnapping took place into zebra territorial waters. Though realistically she probably had more likely reasons then that.
Though I do have to wonder what the Faceless would want with a pony and it's past existence? It is rather ominous that how easily Goldtongue was able to pass over another pony as currency to a spirit.
Spirits only being able to converse via their defined ways of speech/behaviour no matter how impractical? Now there's a really neat idea. Things don't look good for her two friends.
This is the best chapter so far. God what a turn around of the situation at hand. Now I'm wondering how Daring Do will be able to bring back A.K's existence whilst ending the evil plot of the bad guys.
I find this really hard to read. Not because of you're doing anything wrong, but because for some reason I hate the idea of somebody simply being erased. This is still a good story, and I'm eager to see what happens next. I just hope you can resolve A.K. Yearlings issue in an enjoyable manner.
6605195 I think it's more likely that Daring Do will only be the only one to remember her. In the show, Daring Do's books are published under the pseudonym of "A.K. Yearling" so maybe Daring uses that name as a kind of memento for somebody only she can remember
Goldentongue had bargained with the Faceless for the Dark Empress’ secrets. And in return, he had promised the spirit of whispers his goddaughter. The value of a secret becomes greater the fewer people know about it… or in this case, her. A.K. Yearling’s entire existence was being erased!
Erased from existence!? This is way to close to treading to familiar land territory with the Pony POV Series!
Twilight: Wait what!? Being erased from existence!? How's that worse than death itself!?
Because nobody will remember you existed at all, nobody will remember you were even born at all! Anyone whoever met that person being erased will forget she existed and memories of that person will just simply vanish! Your whole existence just went bye-bye!
Twilight: I think I'm going to be sick about learning this...
Soldier: Holy sweet mother of Joseph! Kkat responded!
Thanks Soldier needed that, and yes I would seriously recommend it depending on your tastes. For one, it is an extremely long epic to read through. I'm talking about a word count that when the seasons it made, (From Zero which is the starting point to Eight being the Finale and in development) and numerous sidefics to it that extend to separate characters (Though they are optional canon), we're talking about (I did the math with numbers on only the main fics not the sidefics) 2,004,733 words! That's more words than even PH itself! Yeah, if you can handle reading that many words, then go for it!
Second, the main fics themselves are not light like the show. There are some light and funny moments, but it is on the Darker and Edgier category, giving insightful details to the origins of the previous generations (Conveniently, one of the seasons is called Origins), focusing on ponies who are dealing with the after effects of Discord's short reign of chaos with ponies going through PTSD, the journey that Shining Armor goes through before the wedding, and then a Dark World where Discord wins and we are shown the severity of his actions. Oh, and he's much more darker, heck almost all villains are darker than their canon counterparts.
Third, and the one thing I love the most about it is the world building. The author builds the canons of this universe while sticking true to some parts of the canon of the series trying to mesh them together. The side characters are developed, we get to see the creation and livelihood of Generation One, Two and Three in a new light while seeing their impact on Gen Four, and many characters get the chance to shine heck even the ones considered bad get their chance to shine whether good or evil.
Yeesh, if I continue this any further, I'm be making a blog post of my own here! Anyway, if you can handle all of what was written here (I mean I know you can handle Darker and Edgier materials and the immense world building, but a humongous word count like that?) then take a shot and be immersed into the world of the POV Series! I'll put a link for the first season and the rest are all in the like of the author. Welcome to the Pony Pov Series Season Zero: Discorded Ponies!
Maybe it was because she was grieving for her friend and Fleetwing’s jab about ....her......friendship necklace cut cruelly, but the pegasus’ know-it-all grin made Daring Do want to put a hoof in his face. Just a little.
Another great chapter.

So it comes to light! about what was going on with A.K. oh my oh my...
That is clever and dark... I approve.
Nicely done!
Holy crap, did that all fall into place...

I've heard of that series, but I've never looked into it. Would you recommend it?
6605546 ...Soldier can you say it for me?

I'm a little late, but just wanted to point out a small error I came across.
"And I can get their faster on my own.”
Great story, by the way. It's shaping up to be a delectable short story.
Should be singular.
It's a shame I'm so bad with mysteries; I'm just along for the ride at this point.
6740969 Thanks for pointing that out. Corrected. (Fixed the ones last chapter too.)
6668861 Fixed that when you first mentioned it, but I forgot to say thanks. Thank you!
After my comment giving the riddle "answers", I suddenly realize that I was maybe being a bit overdramatic. Whoops.
DAMN!!!!
