Fallout: Equestria - Frozen Contrails - Gamma Deekay

At the end of the great war, delivering supplies to the northern tundra science outpost was normally a boring and simple routine. However, for Jackscrew and the other ponies aboard the Seaddler, today would prove to be anything but routine.

=_= I'm making an Alaska version of this... Well I finished the first chapter... But I need to "space" the speaking parts out... Meh :/ I believe this is gonna be a good story btw :D

Got to say that this story makes me want to see your next one even more. It may not be ah hype train, but it's a nice way to get things started.

I am not sure why this has so many dislikes. Its a decent story that you can read in about 20 minutes. I personally liked it.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!:heart: To answer your question, it got most of it's downvotes from it's time on the frontpage. Sadly there are those in the MLP community who will downvote anything Fo:E on sight.

Currently reading Empty Quiver 'Storm Warning' so it was a treat to see Marigold and the Seaddler flying into that story. It just gives it all more depth to it all. We need more of these kind of one shots!

:pinkiehappy: Wow! This was a very well written one-shot, Gamma Deekay! The beauty of your writing was on par with Forsaken, but the storyline was much more hopeful. Well done! :rainbowdetermined2:

Woooo :pinkiegasp: not often I come across a Fallout Equestria story that takes place on the same day the bombs dropped. I must say good sir :moustache: well done XD

I'm going to assume that Violet also survived even though there is no ending scene with her.

Again, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :pinkiehappy:

I really did enjoy writing this one, and it's in fact the second story I've done that takes place on the last day! (The third if you count my 'Letter to the Tides' entry into the Fallout: Equestria - Group Anthology 2016) It's a time in Fo:E that not a lot of people seem to take advantage of, which is odd as there are so damn many bits of lore in the Fallout universe that showcase the reactions and stories of people's lives on the final day. Then again, I haven't read all 3000+ Fo:E stories out there, so I can't really comment that reliably on it's use...

And yes, though it's not exactly stated, all four of the crew are rescued by the arctic science team. In fact, you do get to see Marigold again in my current story, Long Haul, as well as in TheFurryRailFan's recently finished story Fallout: Equestria - Empty Quiver

Sounds like something I wouldn't mind reading if it gets updated more :rainbowwild:

This story makes it the 160th Fallout Equestria story I've read (Totally not being a showoff :trollestia: ) and most of them takes place way after the day it happened.

I haven't read The Long Haul or the other story you mentioned so that's two more including Better Days that I need to read and after that will be when I have read all the stories you posted @.@ so I can't wait to see her again. It's interesting to see the same characters again in another Fallout Equestria story.

Well, if you like seeing characters again, then you're going to like The Long Winter and Better Days! Shared universes are like that. :pinkiecrazy:

But along with Empty Quiver, I do have to point out that TheFurryRailFan's first story Fallout: Equestria - Occupational Hazards is the prequel to Empty Quiver as well. I've read both stories myself, and I absolutely love them. So yeah, they totally get my recommendation to go on your list, as well as all the other stories I have listed along the side of my main profile page. :trollestia:

Also, 160 is quite the accomplishment! I hope you can keep it up and eventually work through every Fo:E story out there!

Haha, yeah I will :derpytongue2:

*Stares at your must read stories* looks like I have my next selection of Fallout Equestria stories to read then at a later time. :trixieshiftright:

While reading 160 stories related to that is great and all, It's nothing compared to my overall read count as shown on my bio :pinkiehappy:

I guess I can wonder how many Fallout Equestria stories I'll read before I'm done.

Another enjoyable story. Thanks. I like these little snippets between the long reads.

I'm glad you've been enjoying them! Thanks for reading! :pinkiehappy:

The ‘bone’, was actually part of the propeller blade to right rear engine one.

I, uh... c.c Is this better, or worse? I have to admit a lot of this story was hard to follow given all the jargon, but you did some good character work.

Generally getting impaled by something is worse than a simple broken bone. :pinkiesad2: But I can understand the idea that sometimes my writing can be a little hard to follow, and it's something I've been trying to work on for years. Thank you for reading and giving me your thoughts!
