Everyone has heard the stories of Fillydelphia, from the Stable Dweller herself down to the lowliest slaves that survived the unspeakable horrors and hardships. Many forget those who weren't slaves or slavers, but they have stories too...

And thank you for reading!
I still plan to post at the very least an epilogue, and probably one more shorter chapter to help tie up loose ends, but this is substantially the end of the story.
And yeah, this was a challenging chapter to write for a variety of reasons. There's more I wanted to convey for Heidi, but there was no reasonable way to include it. More for Leigh, Serge, Lita, maybe even Isaac... you get the picture. And it was difficult to work in many elements of the original story that Kaz had no frame to understand, like the megaspell lasers, Derpy's radboom or even why Gawd showed up. Including more elements from MN7 would have made it even more difficult, so I decided that it was for the best to keep things as simple as possible and leave it to him to just witness the end of Fillydelphia through the lens he has.
I always love to explore different viewpoints on scenes, and seeing the battle against the Enclave from this side was an amazing read. Its rare now a day that FoE stories get brought to the end, but it was an amazing journey and I am looking forward to read the epilogue and see how you wrap this one up.
" A single massive blot flanked by a dozen smaller shapes that flowed and merged into an uncertain number of assaulting Enclave craft" Plural?
" Squad leaders should take alternate routes back, on the ground. " Lacks one of those " in the end
"and questions I certainly couldn't answer now." Should it not be can't since he is "speaking" to the reader?

Thanks for proofing it for me, and I fixed the missing quotes. The rest are actually accurate I think. Craft can be plural in this case, and Kaz was still referring to his state of mind at the moment and not the actual present to the readers.
In any case, thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy the epilogue too!
