Back at the Canterlot wedding of Cadence and Shining Armor---the real Cadence and Twilight didn't make it to save her brother. The kiss was planted and the marriage was done. Slowly over the years the life was sucked out of Shining Armor and the love was always drained out of him, but he didn't care. As long as he had his loving wife Cadence right? That is... until after their first child he realizes his 'Cadence...' is actually the queen of the changelings.

The Battle of the Bands within Canterlot High School didn't go according to plan. The Dazzling's having been defeated, left the school and began seeking a life outside those walls. While they weren't students, it was an operation that could have boded well had they succeeded.

On the move within the large city, the girls needed a new plan. Moving from place to place, seeking jobs and a form of self-living. They needed something new and quick.

Thankfully for the Dazzlings, they managed to find assistance from a stranger that whom, also needed assistance. A new bond and alliance would be forged this day, in hopes of completing a beneficial and mutual agreement in hopes of salvation.

It has been over two weeks since she woke up in the Everfree Forest, devoid of memories of her past and unaware of her own powers and abilities. Twilight and her friends accepted her, nursed back to health, fed her and provided with a place to live. Despite all the accidents and troubles she caused, she was met with kindness, forgiveness and friendship.

With part of her memories restored and aware of her survival and combat abilities, Raichu is determined to repay their kindness. How? By becoming a mercenary (help for hire) and earning her keep.

No matter how dangerous or silly the job, no matter if her life would be in danger, she was going to be useful. Will ponies underestimate her due to her innocent and weak appearance? Or will she prove them wrong and make her caretakers proud?

Determined to make friends and find purpose in her new home as she slowly regains her memories, Raichu gets attached to her new owners and is willing to repay their kindness, no matter the cost. Little does she know that a chance to repay them draws near.

After becoming mortal, the Dazzlings give up their evil ways and decide to lead normal lives. Which includes going to school like regular, normal girls. Sonata's first class on her first day is gym, and much to the humane five and Sunset's surprise, she's good at it. Too good at it.
