It has been two years since the human TD ascended to become Princess Antares, and he is settling into his role as one of the rulers of Equestria quite nicely. His loyal guard is strong, his palace is awe-inspiring, and he is beloved and worshiped by ponies everywhere. However, when the Element of Magic is stolen by an old student of Celestia's and taken through a magic mirror while he is visiting the Crystal Empire with the Mane Six, he discovers that another world has been very close by during his whole reign. A rather familiar world at that. Deciding that he is the best pony for the job, he takes his two best soldiers through the portal with him to get the Element back. So, pretending to be a foreign exchange student from Canada, he infiltrates of all things... a high school.

He is less than pleased.

After the so-called "Midday Invasion" of the Dazzlings, order has been re-established in Canterlot High, and school life has returned to its regular routine.

This routine, naturally, involves exams and grades.

When offered the opportunity to get a slight raise of marks at the end of the school year, Sunset Shimmer and Fluttershy decide to take part to the same after-school project, one involving a daycare. Little they know, the title of the activity was misleading, and the presiding teacher isn't exactly going to keep it enclosed...

One day, when invited to a party, the Mane Six and June discover that ponies of Equestria have gone missing. Timeline, a mysterious Unicorn gives them a task- verify the existence of the missing ponies and bring them back. June, with her sharp memory and ability to see and remember the smallest things, must give her best to find the keys to the existences of the ponies. Existence is only verified by what one does in this world, and what one is remembered for.

Trixie is trying to get up to her old rival Twilight's level. Thing is though, now they are good friends. Twilight is helping her to become 'a' great and powerful unicorn like herself, and Trixie is learning fast, and has also learned the meaning of friendship, which she also has made friends with the other mane 6. Enough on that, so Trixie is practicing a spell, but it then becomes too much for her to handle and before Twilight can intervene, both are struck by the magic. For many, "Lesson Zero" was the episode where FiM metaphorically "grew the beard", since it established that Twilight's duty to send reports weekly ended.

However, the events could have taken a different direction entirely.

For the example, what if the Mane 5 did the sane thing at the wrong moment? What if Celestia wasn't so merciful towards Twilight? And to make things worse, Celestia got a sadistic sense of humor and an idea for an untraditional punishment?
