Contains spoilers for Season 7, Episode 10: "A Royal Problem," as it takes place the evening after the events in that episode. The episode itself serves largely as a framing device, however.

Long ago, Luna turned into a twisted, evil version of herself, and Celestia remained to watch over Equestria. Yet Celestia has wondered whether she too could turn into a "Nightmare"... and she's speculated about what she would become.

She has kept these thoughts to herself, but when Celestia and her sister witness the former’s evil counterpart, "Daybreaker," in a nightmare, Luna notes that Celestia does not seem too surprised at her own "dark" side...

The next evening, Luna asks Celestia for her thoughts on Daybreaker - and asks what exactly would turn Celestia into such a monster...

It's not easy to go back to your life after a thousand years of insanity and exile. It's not easy for Luna to even leave her room. All the same, there's a special somepony that Luna desperately wants to get closer to, and that's worth facing the outside for. All she has to do is get up the nerve to talk to her.

After Fluttershy bravely reasoned with Iron Will's groundless assertive training, and much of her aggression took upon innocent ponies including Rarity and Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash decides to go over to Fluttershy's cottage to have a private conversation about it all. As much as Fluttershy admits to being "mean" towards her friends, she can not help but regret her second persona having hurt them.

Rainbow Dash, on the other hand, is not surprised with the incident at all, and reminds her childhood friend that she always had this darker side since she was a filly, and Rainbow herself was the witness accountable.

The question now is, how would Fluttershy respond to such unsound truth?

Set after S2 E18 "Putting Your Hoof Down".

You know how it goes: boy visits girl, boy and girl have tea, have a good time chatting, and girl refuses to let boy leave—

Wait, what?

After a lovely evening of sipping tea and chatting, former Phantom Pony, Nocturne goes to exit Fluttershy's home for the night. But it's quite the blizzard outside tonight, the worst in decades, and Fluttershy doesn't want Nocturne to freeze to death out there. Of course, they are close friends now, and she does care for him deeply . . . perhaps too deeply.

They say cold weather brings ponies together. Just what does that insinuate? Nocturne is about to find out.

Life won't be as long as Fluttershy wants it to be. With each of her friends breaking down around her, she doesn't know if she'll be able to stay in Ponyville much longer unless she is to break down with them. Confronting them won't be easy. But her greatest confrontation could be with someone she views in a more special way.

Perhaps life is stranger than fiction, as Sunset will learn one day. Recently told to go and make some friends by her teacher, she finds a small filly who is playing with a box and a doll. Weird right? Sunset's not much of a babysitter, but she will soon find out that the world has a curious way of catching up to her.

My unicorn parents called me a worthless mud pony. They pushed me every day to overcome my lowly status. When I woke up one morning with my cutie mark, I thought they would love me. I couldn’t have been farther from the truth.

It was not destiny or enjoyment that led me to discover the cello and composing. My parents made that decision, deciding before I was born I would continue their family legacy of famous musicians.

They did not realize what that decision would cost them.
