It is a beautiful day! The birds are singing, the sun is shining, and the weather is nice and comfortable to be outside. To top it off, Twilight Sparkle has absolutely nothing to do. Nothing, besides settling down in the park with a good book.

But, as things usually go in Ponyville, things won't stay "normal" for long. It starts with a tree, and a sneeze.

Humanity has grown to control most of the Sol system, and looks to distant stars for further expansion options. When probes discover an uncannily-earthlike planet at a vast distance, the Solar Government takes on a project larger than any before it.

A colony ship, carrying over seven thousand people, the Eclipse is constructed. Thanks to its translight engine, it is capable of making the journey within two decades. The expedition is launched with high hopes, its crew made up of the best and brightest, setting out to prove that the vastness of space was no longer an insurmountable obstacle, that landing on distant worlds full of life was no longer just a pipe dream.

What happens when this colony ship's crew arrives at their destination would forever change humanity's outlook on the rest of the universe, as well as what could be deemed possible. Supernatural beings, energies unexplainable, and most importantly, sapient organisms all populate this mysterious, fertile world. In all of its extensive preparations, is the Eclipse versatile enough to tackle the task assigned to it? Or, more importantly, is its crew?

When Celestia went on sabbatical into the west, she promised Twilight it would be only a couple of months. A year and a half later, the sun resists control, the country is in ruins, and her teacher is lost in the wilds. Twilight has become the apostate, her faith in her teacher and her teachings waning. In the wake of tragedy, her resentment blossoms into fury and she vows that something must be done. Shadows gather around Canterlot, and old things that should not have been awakened are on the move. The Student goes west, her hope restored by friendship and righteous fury.

The night, at long last, is passing.

By some cosmic happenstance, a young woman is transported to Equestria, and finds herself in a precarious situation. She's taking it in stride so far. Maybe because finding herself in an alien world and in an alien body is not the worst thing that's ever happened to her.

Some wounds, especially those of the soul, can take a long time to mend. What healing arts can the ponies of Equestria offer a scarred young woman? What can she offer them in return?

Timeline-wise takes place starts off in the later parts of season 4 but before the season finale. It also mentions events from the EG-movies and the comics, but neither of which are required watching/reading in order to understand this story.

This story is a sequel to Lightning Bolt of Rome

Warning: The following fic is currently unedited. And is a sequel to "Lightning Bolt of Rome."

On a mission to document all the information in the world by Princess Platinum from a newly formed kingdom of Equestria, Star Swirl the Bearded and his students are sent off into the wilderness. Along the way, they come across an unstable, but highly charged cloud filled with magic. Lightning from the cloud strikes them, and they wake up in an entirely new world and kingdom. They land in the Kingdom of Britain, whose ruler, Queen Elizabeth Tudor, is facing an incoming invasion by the Spanish Armada.

Tasked on her first lone assignment since her apprenticeship ended, an auditor takes up the monumental task of heading to a war ravaged planet to help soothe relations between its liberating forces and the native people, all while insuring the proper reconstruction of the civilization.

However, much of that sounds ridiculously easy on paper.

This auditor will learn that not all is as easy and as kind as she knows.

The galaxy is cruel, and sometimes, you have to be crueler.

There was only one explanation. For all of it. All of the strange, erratic behavior. Her irrational fear of the sun. Her nocturnal habits of locking herself in in the dark and closing all the blinds. Wearing her sunglasses everywhere, even inside! It was time to invest in some silver, garlic, and a wooden stake.

Uncle lives a very fulfilling life at his antique shop. It's peaceful and quiet for the most part, just how he likes it. Of course, he's a skilled chi wizard, so he knows better than to actually let the universe know that he's content. So he complains.

A lot.

Then one day, a basket containing three infant magical ponies arrives, and his peaceful life goes out the window...to be replaced with, perhaps, something a little more than contentment.

The universe, apparently, is smarter than he gave it credit for, because now he has "Three More Things!" to complain about to hide just how much they mean to him.
