An idea that I got while watching S5 finale.

Diamond Tiara's problems run deep, and her pride runs deeper. When Diamond Tiara's 'perfect' life is torn out from under her, the last pony you would imagine comes to the rescue. However, when things get complicated by strange new feelings, other pony's foredeemed ideals, and family troubles on both sides of the fence, the two fillies struggle to understand what they mean to each other while their worlds fall apart around them.

Characters will be added as they become important to the story.

For many years Apple Bloom and co have put up with merciless bullying from Diamond Tiara, and, now that she's stopped, it's time to get some things straight. Neither of the fillies ever expected to be speaking to each other with a drop of kindness, but it's happening. Both of them make the most of it.

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon poke fun at Apple Bloom simply because she does not have her cutie mark. When an arts and crafts fair is preparing to set up in Ponyville, Applejack encourages her little sister to at least participate, but she soon succumbs to her own self-depression. Discouraged, confused, and upset from all the building up of verbal abuse, Apple Bloom one day disappears from Ponyville without a trace and it isn't long before Applejack is driven into mental insanity worrying about her. Silver Spoon betrays Diamond Tiara by confessing to Applejack the most likely cause of Apple Bloom's disappearance and quite possibly her true reason for wanting her cutie mark. And once Princess Celestia learns of Apple Bloom's problem, she decides to pay a visit to Ponyville herself to announce a very important lesson about bullying. Will Diamond Tiara finally realize the error of her ways? Or has her heart been permanently hardened by her own twisted misdeeds?

Even though the original timeline was corrected, the alternate presents caused by Starlight's thirst for vengeance remain. In the last, Equestria has been reduced to a barren wasteland. Nothing lives among the dust and the dark, except one pony. Twilight Sparkle had failed, failed to defend her land, and in the end was forced to destroy it.

Now she wanders, having done so for the past several hundred years. The nothingness that she created refuses to move forward, held in place by powers far beyond her. All she can do now, is wait...for what could be eternity.

However, could an old enemy be just what she needs, even if neither of them really know why. This is, after all...a result of both their actions.

Twilight Sparkle sends a series of letters to Princess Celestia after slaying a villain.

Queen Chrysalis is leader of the changelings, as well as their mother. She has spent years giving them love and affection and trying to find them other sources to feed off of, in case her own love proves to not be enough. And, knowing the minds of children, and how they crave attention, This might be the case. Knowing this, Chrysalis has attacked Equestria many times, and tried to make a home for her children. Now, she sits on her throne, tired of all the fighting, and saddened from her many failures, as she thinks about how she has gone through so much.

Hearth's Warming is usually a happy time of year, especially for school aged foals. But for Diamond Tiara, the holiday is just a reminder of her home life, stuck between an always working father and a mother that constantly berates and heckles her.

While attending a Hearth's Warming party hosted by Princess Twilight, Diamond finds herself growing jealous of the family her new friend, Apple Bloom has. And when Apple Bloom reaches out to a friend in need, it doesn't take long for the subject to turn to family.

But both fillies will be quite surprised by what they learn about the other, and little will they realize just how fortunate they are to have each other.
