Octavia has always been obsessed with the occult, specifically vampires. She dreams of being a creature of the night, soaring through the air, sucking the blood from her victims.That's all it ever was though, a dream.
Or at least it was until she met Vinyl Scratch. Now Octavia is the servant of the all powerful vampire. In return for services rendered, Vinyl will make Octavia's dream into a reality.

A reality Vinyl wants no part of, but she does have to admit, Octavia has her uses.

Octavia's performance at the wedding of Princess Cadence was cancelled, and her ensemble was replaced by a mysterious DJ! When she goes to investigate, she discovers a world of music she never imagined from the turntables of Vinyl Scratch. She takes a chance and follows the DJ back to her home in Ponyville, and begins a journey full of music, love, laughs, some tears (maybe?), and... an evil plot!? What?

Let's read along, shall we? But brace yourself... it's gonna take a while.

There are a lot of ups and downs to being a musician. This is the story of how two musicians, one on top of the world, but still missing something. And the other at the bottom, not knowing what to do. find what there both looking for in a small bar in Manhattan.

Vinyl goes to band camp. She meets Octavia, a shy girl. She puts out the effort to get Octavia to talk to her, and a fast friendship forms. After spending a summer together, one of them may be falling in love.

Just a little short story about Octavia and Vinyl Scratch practicing their respective instruments… in the same room. Which, for anypony who knows them, obviously will lead to… problems.

The name also has a double meaning because I’m practicing. Practicing writing that is.

This is my first story posted on Fimfiction, and is mostly only just practice as I said. It is also to figure out how posting a story even works!

I’m not a huge shipper of Octavia x Vinyl, but I do passively ship them. I’ve been reading a lot of fics about them lately and decided write some myself. That way, if I screw up, I won’t ruin one of my favourite ships!

Octavia has already accepted Vinyl's bisexuality. In fact, they 'flirt' with each other constantly. But what happens when Octavia invites Vinyl to stay the night? Will someone's emotions get the better of them? Will their friendship survive? Might it possibly evolve into something more? (No longer a Oneshot. Why? Because people are crazy.)
