In the many months since Twilight Sparkle transferred to Canterlot High, Sunset Shimmer's been to her house a good number of times, enough for it to feel reasonably familiar. So when she notices something she's never seen before -- a large, blue-tinted plush shark she calls her blåhaj -- on Twilight's bed, she can't help but ask about it. She's a little surprised to find Twilight looking a bit embarrassed about her stuffed animal -- but when Sunset realizes it might be emblematic of a sore spot in Twilight's life, she realizes it's up to her to restore the magic of the blåhaj.

Sunset Shimmer is no spring chicken, that much is for sure. Her best days are a long, long way behind her. Content to live in the human world without settling into any sordid romances, she set her scientific mind to good use, and pursued a career that left the world in a better state than it was when she first arrived. A lifetime ago. But nobody, not even an equine-turned-human, is immune to the passage of time. And as an elderly Sunset settles down to enjoy a quiet evening on the porch of her small cottage, an old friend pays one last visit.

So many ponies, so many possibilities! Here I dump 500-word drabbles of two random characters interacting. These stories may include character shipping, friendshipping, or simply trying not to kill one another.

Updates will be whenever I get inspired by a pairing. I see different pairings daily, so surely more of them will catch my attention in time.

Stories will be unrelated to one another unless otherwise specified.

All she wanted was a Shamrock shake, smooth and cool, deliciously clover-y . . . but that's not what she got.

Merry May's been on Earth long enough to know that the pictures of food on a menu board and the actual food item received bear little resemblance. She hasn't yet figured out that there's sometimes outright deception. Shamrock Shakes contain no actual clover; they're not even clover-flavored.

Just as Fluttershy is about to go have a picnic with her animal friends, her flanks start blinking, signaling that she is needed somewhere else. And while they understand it's important, said friends are really getting annoyed with a certain tree that keeps calling her for help.

EFNW 2023 Iron Author Entry.

Somewhere in the multiverse, there is a bar. It's small—the kind-of a hole-in-the wall place which you might find open late at night while walking down the streets of Canterlot City in the 1920's.

But unlike most bars, this one is not actually there… or rather, not where you think it is.

The entrance to Sunset's Isekai will be found in passing; an archway made of stone, emerging from a wall that you could have sworn had nothing there before, and in fact seems impossible to actually lead anywhere.

There, a door of solid oak—lovingly worked and stained to look almost golden-red—with a thick, crystal version of Sunset's cutie mark at eye level awaits visitors under the soft light of a gas lamp.

This door opens to all worlds, and can only be found by those that need that drink to be just the right type of different.

Note: This fic is best read like nursing your drink - Don't rush it. Enjoy each flavor for what it is. Don't mix it all up by reading it one chapter after the other in one sitting. It's intended to (mostly) work in a way that each chapter can be read without having to tackle through the rest of the story. (Also, for the last time, the concept for this is NOT based on Restaurant to Another World or any anime.)
