Since Princess Twilight Sparkle had elevated herself to the status of an immortal alicorn, she has come to realize that there would be one part of her friend's lives that they may never get the chance of having - her funeral. To make up for this, she decides to host a mock funeral so they can have the opportunity to experience it. However, word about the preparation for said funeral accidently gets out and as a result, Equestria believes that Twilight has died.

This story was inspired by the suggestion of a friend who wishes to remain anonymous.

After all, he helped save Ponyville, and Celestia herself publicly acknowledged him as her subject, despite the fact that he's a changeling. The ponies of Ponyville should welcome him with open arms. It turns out, however, that the fact that some of them don't is going to be the least of his problems.

The changelings are banished, the day is saved! Yet a victory for one must be a defeat for another, and this particular victory has left one changeling stranded in Canterlot, alone and broken. A certain pink party pony is also alone in the Canterlot night, hiding her depression from her friends. She cannot, however, hide her feelings from a changeling. What will become of this unlikely pair?

One day, Celestia had woken up as a spider. A rather curious event, but one the Princess had approached with a surprisingly calm attitude. She'd decided to take no further action than that of informing her subjects of the fact that she'd changed, and to simply continue her life.

In a rather unfortunate turn of events, the Changeling Queen herself, seeing as she was not considered to be one of Equestria's citizens, had not been informed of the occurrence. This led to a rather awkward situation when she met Celestia for the first time after the transformation. Celestia found that encounter to be quite entertaining. Chrysalis didn't.
