Marianne Evergold is a kind-hearted girl with strange tastes, for she's the only person she knows whose favorite character is... Diamond Tiara. Snotty, bratty, childish, and vain? Perhaps. But she adored her all the same. The confidence with which Tiara carried herself was something she never had. In her eyes, Tiara was truly graceful and picturesque. And while she understood that drama needed a conspirator and Tiara was just the natural calling card for the show's writers, she never liked the idea that she was truly evil. So when the show ended its last season with her being turned to stone for her years of villainy and almost bringing Equestria to ruin... Mary could not accept it.

The only thing she could never understand was... why did they never give her a proper redemption? It always felt like they would. Yet they never did. And if by some miracle they ever did, she would never get to see it.

For she finds she awakes one day in the lands of the colorful Equestria. Far from home. So very far from friends. And so, so very far from family.

And in the horseshoes of Diamond Tiara herself, no less.

But at least she has a goal now. To save Tiara from that fate. Already with a history of bad blood halfway into the show, it would be no easy feat to redeem her as no one would allow her the opportunity after many years of treachery. But Mary vowed to never give up on Diamond Tiara and would keep to her promise come what may.

All while Tiara herself sat back silently in her mind, sealed from being able to take control of her own body again and watching it all unfold.

Sunset Shimmer is back from the human world. Her friends have all moved on with their lives, now it's time for her to do the same.

After a vacation traveling around Equestria, that is. A welcome back gift from Twilight and Celestia, she's got an unlimited use ticket for the Friendship Express and a link to the royal bank account to cover expenses. She hopes this journey will be her last big adventure before settling down somewhere.

Her next stop is the Frozen North and the Crystal Empire. Looking forward to the next leg of her journey, she certainly doesn't expect her life to change while en route.

All this, and they find themselves at the very START in S1 ep1, the very first scene. Sometimes knowing EXACTLY what's going to happen doesn't make things any easier... particularly when your entire reference for knowledge is a smart alec kid who you're not sure even wants to get home....

Equestria was once a land of wonder where magic could do things beyond ponies wildest dreams and the Gods walked among mortals, It was an age of power, magic, and balance, it was the Era of Immortals

Then an event that became known as The Shattered Aeon happened and the world was never the same. What The Shattered Aeon was scholars have debated for centuries as records of this time and before are few and far between and they paint contradicting stories. All that is known is that when it was over the Gods had left the Material Plane to reside in their own divine realms never to return.

Survivors of the The Shattered Aeon were left to pick up the pieces and rebuild carving out their own kingdoms in what used to be the nation of Equestria.

It became known as The Fractured Era.

Twilight Sparkle was born to a poor family in one of these nations known as The Thronecrest Dominion and left home as a teenager to earn money for her family putting her magic and intelligence to work as a soldier for hire.

Now though Twilight is a wanted mare in the Silverspire Republic after being framed for the assassination of an Ambassador by a client, Twilight has to stay one step ahead of the authorities, bounty hunters and assassins sent by her client as a loose end that needs to be tied.

As two nations are on the brink of war Twilight Sparkle must rely on rival mercenaries as the only people she can trust, as she has to fight to stay alive by pulling back The Shadow Veil that hides the crimes of her ambitious former client.

Sal Carmine Manchester (they/them) is just an average guy. They work a horrible job, they hang out with their friends, they hate the way that their face looks when they look in the mirror, they hoard all physical forms of music. Normal human being things.

But when their employer forces them to work with Twilight Sparkle, they meet Spike, and realize that they and the dragon have a lot in common. Now equipped with the horrible knowledge that their identity doesn't match their body, Sal must find a way let their inner dragon breathe freely without getting laid off. Because if they lose their job, they'll be sent back to Earth, and lose contact with the one creature that understands their burning soul.

AU where Spike has grown up and molted by the start of season six, ponies are commonly 4 feet tall, and Equestria has had contact with Earth for a few years.

As is tradition post-Twilight-Really-Messed-Up-The-Multiverse, the Prime Rarityship Council has its latest meeting. What bonds these Raritys together? The simple fact that they’re all dating a different member of their close friend group.
