Since his first Nightmare Night, Pipsqueak and Luna have shared a beautiful friendship.
And the young pony has always dreamed about becoming Luna’s knight in shining armor.

A dream that he decides to pursue at the age of eighteen, when he enlists in the Lunar Guard. The strongest soldiers of Equestria, under the command of their feared and admired leaders, the Black Swordsman and the Lightning Flash.

Princess Luna slips through the dreams of her subjects, helping them conquer their fears and anxieties in any way she can.

But its a thankless task... one that often leaves Luna filled with the old bitterness she once felt before her banishment. The bitterness begins to take hold until, one night, she stumbles upon a pony who dreams exclusively of her... Perhaps her task wasn't as unappreciated as she thought.

Meet Pip. He is the smallest pony in class, and has the nickname Squirt. He thinks he will never amount to anything in his life.

But he is about to meet a very special pony. She is a hero, she runs the weather single hooved, and she has a novel all about her adventure.

And she is the perfect one to perhaps teach Pip a lesson we all sometimes need to learn.

Luna finds out about Pip's life, and decides to adopt him. This leads to her going to Ponyville much more often, and seeing more familiar faces. Feelings that she can't explain begins to develop in her.

Love. It transcends the mightiest of barriers... and death is no exception.

Just a one shot I thought of on a whim, hope yall enjoy it!

Across the Equestrian lands and seas alike, there echoes of a legend; a pirate so dreaded that even the bulkiest of sailors would scream in fright. All you would need to recognize is his galleon's flag to know true fear. While most would keep away from such an outlaw, a few women know the kind-hearted young man he truly is. One lass will go so far as to join the kid.
However, all is not simply fun and games. Nightmare Night is coming, and the young pirate have to brave the spirit of Nightmare himself if Equestria is to survive another year. However, a new rat-faced minion is going to make this quest a little more challenging.
