A changeling gets a very risky and clever idea.
Pretending to be an advanced magic doll left as an anonymous gift in front of Twilight Sparkle's home.
It's so audaciously stupid there is no way it's not going to work.

For hundreds of years humanity had been fighting a losing war. Outnumbered and out maneuvered they looked for a way out of the war as quickly as possible with as few causalities as they could. They found their answer: Project SKIRMISH. Now, centuries since the end of the First Contact War, Humanity is nearing the seat of the galactic throne. With new found allies, resources and technology humanity has all but pushed back the alien invaders, cured all illnesses and plagues, tripled human life spans and are always looking to the horizon.

After a fleet of Frigates are destroyed in an unexplored system only a handful of Pilots are left. With no other options they are forced to land on an unknown world and quickly form alliances, or fight for survival with their limited resources and technology.

A clerical error in the Registry of Mortals sends an unwitting human to a strange land. It wouldn't be so bad, if the ponies there weren't out for his blood.

Literally.

A little twist on the myth that unicorns were hunted for their fantastical powers.

Random guy ends up in Equestria story, yet for reasons unbeknownst to him, he finds himself in an Equestria much like the one he barely remembers from a show he once watched, yet very different in all the wrong aspects.

It can't possibly be because he turned into a changeling right after their infamous invasion.

Right?

AU: This is literally an alternate Equestria, where grim events happen as normal occurrences, also, the story starts from season 2 and moves up to season 4.

Comedy: who doesn't like to laugh at the misery of a fictional character?

Adventure: if that wasn't obvious I don't know what is.

Dark: Some of you pointed out that it has some dark elements, but don't worry, I will not write anything overboard.

Human: dare I need to state why.

Teen because of a couple of death scenes here and there, no gore, unless it's written in an extremely scientific language.

Oh, it's a shameless self insert by the way. I want to see how much I can write myself as a character in my own story and how much it relates to other characters I have written.

Went to my favorite con as my most ambitious costume yet The Transformer "Sixshot". Unfortunately I could not finish a weapon of his and went to the con without it. Then you Know the rest, bought said item form the merchant and now I'm hunting demons under the Tartarus Guard. Also trying to make friends on the side, and trying not to think of everything I have lost. This should be fun.

A young man lost in the hilly embrace of a mountain sleeps the night away under a knot of tree roots. When he wakes he will find himself thrust into a strange new environment, the Everfree Forest. With only his pack and his experience as a Boy Scout to aid him, he must survive, make sense of his surroundings and with some luck, ultimately find his way home. What does one do after wandering beyond the edge of the map? And better yet...

A scientist dreams of his ultimate weapon, his envisioning of the ultimate creation, boils down to his research and planning which he has spent years meticulously working on. What will this mean for his target location? What does this mean for Equestria, his intended location and what possible dangers await the Main 6 and their friends?
This is set in an alternative time line, which starts post season 5 but prior to season 6. Events which occurred in season 5 happened in this time line, but season 6 events don't occur due to the alternative timeline. Sorry if that was a little complicated.
