Tanya Degurechaff gets tossed into Equestria and transformed into a Changeling Queen. It's a nice retirement from modern warfare as an aerial mage. Then Queen Chrysalis attacks and forces her out of retirement. Historians refer to this as 'a bit of an oopsie.'

A nation fractured and surrounded by enemies, a physically weak ruler who struggled daily to maintain an empire that weakened with each passing year. Together with nobles increasingly ambitious and emboldened as the emperor's authority dwindled.

All this added up to a powder fuse for a nation that would explode into conflict with the ambition of the various duchies and counties that already wielded considerable power.

Equestria and the Crystal Empire have fallen to the Changeling Hegemony, led by the brutal Queen Chrysalis at the head of a mechanized horde of guns and tanks. Princess Cadance stayed in the Crystal Empire; Princess Twilight stayed in Equestria. Chrysalis rules the continent, only defied by Nova Griffonia, the poor Griffon colony in the north.

Across the ocean, the Griffonian Reich pledges to reclaim its lost territory, sundered by revolution a generation ago. While the Alicorn Sisters retreat to New Mareland, Princess Flurry Heart and Shining Armor turn to Aquileia, the Republic born out of the ashes of the Griffonian Reich. The Kaiser of the Reich is only a child, subject to a regent bent on war and conquest.

Flurry knows the Reich and Chrysalis have worked together.

She knows that war is coming to Aquileia.

She knows that Celestia and Luna abandoned her mother and Twilight Sparkle.

She knows that the world is on fire, and she is the last true Princess of Ponies.

She knows she will go home.

A Japanese Salaryman finds his life cut short by a disgruntled employee. Just before his death he is given an ultimatum by a certain God of Chaos.

Forced into a new world, he – now she – wishes only to once again climb the corporate ladder and live a comfortable life. Unfortunately, she finds herself born in the radically republican former Griffon Duchy of Cloudbury where every citizen clamors for continent-wide revolution, and rampaging bandits prowl the countryside. An Equestria at War x Youjo Senki (Tanya the Evil) crossover. A mix of two Alternate World War Universes. The Salaryman (Tanya Degurechaff) is the only character from Youjo Senki in this story. Any understanding of that franchise is not needed (to the point where this is arguably not a crossover).

I wrote this because my EaW installation is constantly crashing for me recently (worked for 4 years with no issues until now... ) so I am writing this to tide me over until it "magically" fixes itself with a patch or something. That, and there is a horrifying amount of monarchist apologism and startling lack of republican fanaticism in the other EaW fics /s.

Most characters are not my own, but made by Lauren Faust, Carlo Zen, or the EaW writing team. However, the source of the cover art of griffon-ized Tanya Degurechaff is all me.

Everyone's a changeling. You, him, her, that. If it moves, it's a changeling. If it breathes, it's a changeling. If it's alive, it's a changeling.

And Chrysalis is utterly sick of it.

An attempt at following a silly concept into the deepest depths of its burrow. Kinda dark at the start. Mainly surreal for the rest.

This story is a sequel to And Hell Followed

A plague ravaged Equestria, turning all of the unicorns and alicorns into bloodthirsty monsters bent on killing all the other races in a genocidal rage. A small cadre lead by the Elements of Harmony survived and persisted in Ponyville, and even managed to reverse it all at the cost of their lives.

Now Equestria must rebuild.

In Manehattan, Twilight Sparkle and Princess Luna must find a way to ease racial tensions while keeping the teetering nation safe and also rebuilding the lost trust of the little ponies of Equestria. Elsewhere, Cheerilee and Scootaloo must find their way in this new world.

There are only two options left. Rebuild Equestria stronger than ever, or be scattered to the winds of history.

By pretending to have a special power to explain his knowledge he manipulates everyone around him.

Will those close to him forgive him for the acts he commits in their name, will the good out weigh the bad, and will he change the future.

Luna has a secret.

A secret that she's kept close to her heart ever since her return from the moon, a secret she's hidden for so long that she's no longer even sure if it's real. At least until it returns to haunt her, and she has no choice but to confide in Celestia and hope her sister trusts that she hasn't gone mad.

It's time to tell Celestia about the circles.

A few years after Luna's return it seems that Equestria will finally know an era of peace and appears to be on the verge of a new renaissance. Ponies are blithely happy, as they are often.

Luna is recovering, and happier than she's been a long, long time.

Celestia is miserable. She's faced with unexpected changes, like always. It never really mattered until she was faced with something (or rather somepony) she wasn't sure if she could cope with, and everything that came with him.

Now, it feels like she is watching the world fall apart. Her world.
