Most of the details have been long lost to time. Almost nothing is known of the Changelings now and most don't honestly care. It's only the select few ponies who have taken the time to learn the history, dig for the relics, and piece together the past who know that there are truths, frightening truths, yet to be found.

When a foreign country far to the east, long since isolated from the rest of the world, reaches out to Equestria with a desperate plea for help, It’s up to Twilight and friends to save the day.
Yet things will be far from simple. They will find themselves thrust into a strange new land under siege by a terrible foe, pitting them in a race against time to stop a titanic force of nature before it crushes them all in its relentless path of destruction.

The nation of Equestria has been exploring their little slice of the universe for some time now. From launching probes into deep space, to landing ponies on the moon. Sending things beyond the grasp of their planet has become almost routine. However, with every mission into space, there comes a time when the voyage must end. What happens when Equestria experiences the end of a voyage that they didn't begin?

This story is a sequel to First Meeting

Years have passed since Octavia Philharmonica and Vinyl Scratch first met on the platforms of Canterlot Station. In the short time that they spent together, they became the best of friends. Then they separated, both of them returning to their homes, meeting one another with less and less frequency as time went on. Within a few years, they had only memories of each other, impressions of the fillies that they used to be.

And then they met again, in the hallways of the Canterlot Conservatory.

Naturally, everypony knows the story of how Twilight Sparkle met her friends, and how they all became the Elements of Harmony. The very subject is now taught in schools around Equestria, much to the chagrin of Twilight's children.

But not many ponies know of the story behind how Twilight ended up in a relationship with both Rainbow Dash and Applejack.

Now, her three children are going to hear that story. Whether they want to or not. Even if it takes nine more seasons.

Octavia was always one for planning ahead. Whether it be dinner that night or her career years away, she always had an idea of how to get there. The right amount of practice, the proper performance to the right pony, and she could see her life progressing exactly as it should.

However, suddenly turning into an alicorn kind of put a damper on her plans.

Years before the events of Winning Pony: Road Not Taken, Sparkler didn’t know her big sister. She didn’t have one.

For as long as she could remember, Sparkler had been in a foster home, under the care of Equestria’s Foal Services. It hadn’t been perfect, but life had been pretty good while she waited for somepony to adopt her.

Thirteen years is a long time to wait, though, and she had all but given up on ever leaving. Given up, until she found everything she knew suddenly and violently pulled out from under her. Hurt, scared, and alone, she’s found herself in a sea of new faces. Some help, some smile, most just fade into the background.

None of them seem interested in her, though. Not enough to take her home.
