Sunset Shimmer lived a perfect life: an aspiring career as Princess Celestia’s star pupil, a budding romance, and the perfect best friend to discover the wonders of the world that made life worth living.  But under the guise of a new friend Sunset met in her dreams, Nightmare Moon sought to upend everything in the name of vengeance, and the powers that be demanded their pound of flesh.

Years later, long after the dust had settled, Sunset found her home beyond the portal. Life was good, if a little strange.  But when Princess Luna comes seeking to quell the nightmares of a past that still haunt her, those nightmares rapidly spiral out of control, and Sunset is faced with the impossible decision of allying herself with the very individual who had destroyed her life.

With little choice, they strike a tentative partnership, and as past and present converge to threaten all that Sunset holds dear, she is left standing at the precarious ledge of a question that may very well have no answer:

Instead of fleeing to the human realm, Sunset decides to talk to Celestia, thus causing her to stay in Equestria. As she continues her studies, Celestia gets a new student.

The young purple prodigy, Twilight Sparkle!

Celestia tasks her with something she is not too keen about: taking care of Twilight. All Sunset wants to do is study magic with Celestia, so why does she have to do something so annoying? However, Sunset will soon learn that life isn't just all about magic and learning.

Rated "Teen" because of themes, language, and a bit of violence. Sex tag because of raunchy/steamy innuendos. Violence tag because of light descriptions of violence and injuries.

Imagine a world where the laws of physics have been flipped. Everything you've ever known is completely different. In this world is another you. But what would you think if this other version of you had a better life? An easier life? Would you want to go home? Would you be mad?

This is a more talkative-fic, and less focused on story. I thought it be cool to try and fill in a bunch of holes that kids cartoons tend to leave. I don't expect story writers to explain every little detail about a cartoon. That's where I come in, though, so it's a win-win.

Sunset Shimmer didn't know, but when she finally decided on her destiny, she turned into an Alicorn, and after graduation, Sunset decided to stay in the human world with Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer, but what she didn't expect was that she was now an Alicorn, with this fact, Sunset Shimmer became a new princess that would be encharged to keep a secure and friendly connection with the human world.

Betrayal always hurts, especially when it come form those you love and trust the most. When Anon-A miss brings Sunset’s world crashing down around her, she turns to the one pony she knows she can truly trust, only to find she’s not the only one who’s been betrayed by her friends. Plagued by betrayals old and new, Twilight and Sunset began to walk the road to recovery and as they do, they discover that while the road may be painful, it’s also almost as beautiful as the pony walking next to them.

Romance tag is for SunLight as well as some Starlight/Trixie that will occur in the final scene of most chapters as a background story.

Sunset Shimmer takes the mantle of her old master Sir Sunburst Starwatcher in a fit of desperation. Now, having had a taste of the glory and victory that has so long been out of reach, she throws herself into a delicate balance between fighting her way to riches and the noose that awaits if she is discovered.

And the lie she and her friends are trying to keep is getting harder and harder to maintain. Oh, and of course, there's the maiden fair who seems determined to get the truth of the matter.
*Based loosely on A Knight's Tale, you do not need to have seen the movie. This will have substantial differences.

A past Sunset doesn't remember comes searching for her, a past that may or may not be hers. With feelings that something bigger is going on, can she sort things out or will she drown in her problems with this piled on top of them.

Warnings: Very small bit of Anon-A-Miss as I needed Sunset to be a little isolated though it will be resolved in the first chapter though the aftermath may spill over for a chapter or two. Anon-A-Miss won't be the focus of the story, the focus will be her possible past coming to find her. The violence tag isn't there because of Anon-A-Miss, but there will be fights.

This story is a sequel to A Certain Magical Sunset

Sunset Shimmer, personal student of Princess Celestia, had seen her future and was delighted.

Looking into Star Swirl's Mirror, she saw something she had never imagined; Herself, as an Alicorn Princess. Filled with delight, Sunset now knew nothing could keep her from the side of her beloved mentor, helping her and ruling with her. It wasn't just a dream. It was her destiny.

So when her mentor suggested she take time out from her studies to make some friends, you could forgive her for not giving more than a token effort. What could be more important than learning everything she needed to know so she could serve her princess through an alicorn's lifetime as a princess, ruling by her side, lifting the burdens she faced daily?

Celestia, knowing her time was short and there was a high chance she would fall with her sister on her return, was pushing Sunset to hone her diplomatic skills, her magical prowess, and her battle skills, enrolling her as a Battle Mage in her service. She needed somepony who could step in and defend her ponies if the worst were to happen.

Then things changed. Her mentor took on another student, an annoyingly cute little nerdy filly named Twilight Sparkle. And soon after, another princess appeared, newly ascended and needing guidance, Princess Cadance.

Maybe, Sunset decided, she needed some friends after all.

This is the prequel to A Certain Magical Sunset. While this is an AU, events are largely in line with cannon, with exceptions noted as they occur. Sunset still ends up in the unhappy place of rebelling against her mentor, and stealing off through Star Swirl's Portal to the world of Equestria Girls, where the other stories in this timeline take place.

Sunset Shimmer is just trying to have a nice dinner with her friends when it is RUINED by an uninvited guest with an affinity for black goo. She knows what it is, she knows who is responsible, and she is very VERY unhappy with him. And she wants to let him know.

This story is a sequel to I, Raven

It started as such a nice day. The sun was up and shining, things were going smoothly and peacefully, then a Saddle Arabian entourage arrived and everything went down hill from there. The most notorious witch in the history of Equestria suddenly and unexpectedly returns, The Red Clover. Soon after, she is pursued by an equally as famous and long thought dead pony, Clover the Clever, triggering a series of events that cannot be undone. Equestria becomes threatened from every direction and all Princesses Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer wanted to do was relax and prepare for their wedding day. Even the gods of old seem to have turned against them as the entire world is put in the crosshairs of annihilation.
