Legions bow before him! His name is whispered in terrified awe by even the greatest of clans and all know that none among the Horned Rat's children are as favoured as the magnificent Greyseer Thanquol (according to him, at least). His latest plan is ready to come to fruition and the stupid elf-things will face the unmatched might of the skaven horde, led by the equally unmatched genius of Thanquol of course.

Obviously the original plan needed some alteration. He actually meant to come to this strange land full of filthy sunlight and cheerful equines, he did! It's all part of his plan, that's right, and everyone else is just too stupid to realise its genius. None understand the brilliant master plan an intellect of his caliber produced. Yes, Greyseer Thanquol will let these pony-things teach him their secret magic and when he has learned all he can, improved by skaven ingenuity, he will use it to enslave their kind and return to Skavenblight at the head of an army!

He just needs to decide whether Luna or Celestia will make a better mount from which to gloat. Oh, and work out how their "Friendship Magic" but it will be Thanquol's!

A thousand years ago in Equestria, Luna's frustration and desperation has been building for years and years as her social and political isolation grows, but just before Luna's jealousy and resentment can turn into murderous hatred against her sister, a new event triggars Luna's mental collapse and pushes her over the edge. When Luna by circumstance finds herself alone in Celestia's room she reads her sister's diary out of curiosity and discovers all of the disparaging criticism that Celestia has leveled at her over the years about how much of a nuisance Luna has been to her, but has been too polite to say directly to Luna's face.

Luna and Celestia had always supported and stuck with each other all their lives. Even when the common-ponies critisism and shunning of her was at its worst, the knowledge that her sister loved her kept Luna going. The realization that nopony, not even her own sister valued her or thought she was fit for the throne completely shattered whatever remained of her fragile psyche.

And so Luna just gave up...

She gave in...

If no one wanted her there...

Then she wouldn't stay there...

She would leave.

Equestria, a land where almost nopony experiences grievances, pain or agony. Literal sunshine and rainbows. However with new revelations about this world, it's inhabitants may experience a drastic shift in their hopeful home.

Ever since a weird red substance was discovered by Applebloom, peculiar things have been occuring around Ponyville. Frightful creatures, odd diseases and strange events. All much more frequent than usual. Could this amount to something much more substantial for our equine friends?

I'm dead. I have been dead for decades. That is a fact, however hard it is to believe. It's actually quite tiring to be dead, though it's more emotional than physical. After a couple of years you just wanna move on and rest. I think you can imagine how tired I am of living while not alive aster existing for decades. Until I finally get an opportunity to be free.

Only it's not that simple. It never is.

I'm in a world of candy-coloured cartoon horses in which the greatest power is the magic of friendship. It's kind of a stark contrast to a not-really-life that's straight out of a horror movie. It's hard to interact with the living after decades of being dead. And I can't avoid them, because they're dead set on being friends.

I doubt that the ponies will still be so kind if they know what I did. I doubt anyone who didn't fully understand the situation would understand. I have to keep lying. And that's not easy when your friends with the embodiment of honesty. And that nosey princess just loves to but in.

It's not gonna be easy, is it? The universe just loves to see me suffer. I'm certain it will make me suffer as much as possible.
