One day, her old friend - the great and powerful Trixie - pays her a surprise visit, offering her an ancient tablet she refers to as "The Autocorrect Spell."

A tale of miserable miser Princess Celestia and her transformation into a kind and caring benefactor after visits on one Christmas Eve from the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come.

More accurately: After an incredibly busy day, the kind and benevolent Princess Celestia just wants to sleep. Apparently, mysterious (and utterly unknowable) cosmic forces (spooky!) are going to visit her with visions regardless.

(Come inside and witness the literary butchery I visit upon a timeless classic. Hopefully the jokes will make you laugh at least once so I can use the distraction to escape.)

A Fate/Zero crossover of sorts.

Equestria is dying, and always has been.

The whole world has been this way for a thousand years, ever since Princess Celestia sacrificed herself to bind the fallen Princess Luna. Year by year the soil turns barren, the oceans turn still, the sun glows colder, and civilization slowly crumbles. The pegasi have not controlled the weather for centuries. Soon, the unicorns will lack the strength to raise the sun each morning. The world will be bare of life in less than two centuries. Even the most powerful magical artifacts cannot halt the decline.

Until now.

An old power has resurfaced, and five ponies race to claim it. A young duke, desperate to save his city and reclaim his family honor. A bounty hunter who speaks to the earth. A scion of magical power. A purposeless prodigy. And a college dropout. They will raise powerful servants and fight for the Grail of Magic.

Dark factions plot on the horizons and strange beings peer in from outside places. One master of magic will claim the Grail. They will save the fading world... or rule its ashes.

Rainbow Dash tries to write a story. Twilight tries to read it.

A myth of ancient Equestria. When the God of Breaking Rules loses his love, a mortal mare, he goes on a quest to break the most sacred rule of the gods, the law of life and death, and return her to the world of the living. Whatever it takes.

And it's going to take everything.

(Note: the gore tag doesn't apply to the whole thing, mostly just to chapter 3, and it's written like a myth, not with a lot of detail or realism, but I thought I'd best include the tag to be safe. There's also actually sex, but it's *so* non-explicit that I actually thought adding the tag would be misleading. If folks think it belongs, I can add it on.)

Last night, a strange stallion named Thornstar showed up in Ponyville. He has been very nice and helpful, and everypony has been taking a great liking to him. But, I think I just might... hate him. Flim, of the world-famous Flimflam brothers, has just been paroled from the dungeon. Reunited with his brother, Flam, and their old friend, Trixie, they have learned that their childhood home is in imminent danger. Compelled by one or more of the Royal Pony Sisters to raise an honest fifty thousand bits in just a few days, and without the aid of the Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000, can they indeed redeem themselves?

High-speed carriage chases, musical numbers (both random and planned), rap battles, widespread property damage, consumption of intoxicating and/or hallucinogenic substances, arson, and generalized disturbances of the peace may all turn out to be necessary.

Not MERELY a Blues Brothers fusion. In my opinion. However, the pre-reading board of Equestria Daily disagrees in the strongest possible terms. They do, however, admit that it is "not poorly written."
