At the request of Dr. Quest Colton, the following data logs and observation notes have been compiled about the case study surrounding Subject 1 and the highly infectious anomoly that now plagues ponies in the hundreds. It is the doctor's hope that these files will eventually help us find a cure before all of Equestria suffers this horrific end. Subjects 2, 3, 4, and 5 are also presenting troubling afflictions and will be recieving case studies of their own. Princess Twilight's sudden death could not have come at a worse time for us all.

However, she lived with two parents who were always fighting and abusing each other much to her sorrow. One day, she made a painting of a scary figure she had seen in her dreams. She put the painting up in her special room, but the next day the family was never seen again.

Hundreds of years later, Scootaloo visits their old abandoned house and sees the painting for herself.

Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship, and her friends (minus one obvious apple) are preparing for the annual memorial, when an unexpected castle guest threatens to disrupt the peace in Ponyville forever.
