The Otsutsuki Clan. An ancient clan of horned humanoid parasites known as celestial beings or aliens from another dimension that would be the equivalent to gods. The clan spent thousands of years traveling through the infinite void of the cosmos devouring planets upon planets for their life energy and genetic materials to fulfill the clan's great goal. Their goal was to attain godhood, similar to how Shibai Otsutsuki had obtained godhood over the millennia. For countless eons, the Otsutsuki Clan has been traveling from different dimensions seeking out worlds to planet the ten-tail into, grow into a God Tree, and consume the fruit to evolve, gain power, and longevity. Yet for one girl, things were about to change as she would be set on a different path, one where she would’ve never expected things to turn out. Come and join the adventure of an alien girl who turns from a scholar to a leader of a kingdom. Her name is Nanako Otsutsuiki, The Kesshōkage of the Crystal Empire. And it all started with just a simple book.

Once upon a time, in a story we all know and love. There was a unicorn, who shined as bright as the sun, she was a prodigy in magic and Princess Celestia’s prized pupil. One day, she was sent to Ponyville and met her best friends: Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy. She and her friends were able to defeat any foe that came their way, and spread friendship and harmony throughout Equestria... that is, until Opaline Arcana came, she wanted power, all of it, she even stole the dragon magic, and became a Fire Alicorn. Twilight knew she wouldn’t be able to stop her, so instead, she put Ponykind’s magic into three gems, and put an invisi-bubble around Equestria, so that the evil Alicorn could never harm them again, but the seeds she had planted started growing until each of the three tribes took their gem and separated. Until an earth pony, Sunny Starscout reunited Equestria with Izzy Moonbow, Pipp Petals, Zipp Storm, and Hitch Trailblazer in one MASSIVE quest. Together, they created new magic and defeated the alicorn that even Twilight couldn’t beat.

But I’m trailing off, aren’t I? Ahem, you know that story, obviously, but I wanna show you a story, where Twilight Sparkle, Sunny Starscout, and their friends existed simultaneously.

A young man named Peter Parker gets bitten by a radioactive spider. He gained spider-like abilities he never thought he would have. This is a story of how he became Spider-Man and how he became New York’s world’s greatest hero.

Alice Maximilion and Jonathan Trace are two childhood friends from two very different backgrounds. Jonathan, born into a long line of police officers is striving to be the best he can be at his job. While Alice, born into a long line of Phantom Thieves, continues her family legacy as the mysterious Phantom Thief Fox.

How will the two friends, one unaware of the other's secret, fare when a forgotten God appears and takes them and a majority of their world to a new world?

Being seniors at Canterlot High has some advantages. For the fall semester, Sunset Shimmer, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Twilight Sparkle won't actually be at CHS. Instead, the girls made it into a competitive foreign exchange program, which is sending them to Tokyo for the semester! Having taken Japanese as their foreign language credits, the girls joined the exchange program to open themselves up to a broader world.

Among the many experiences the exchange program exposed the girls to is the newest and hottest technology, the NerveGear, which brings virtual reality to a whole new level. Sword Art Online, also known as SAO, is the premier game soon to be released for the NerveGear. With their new friend, Ota Natsuki, they scored limited copies and get to be some of the 10,000 players to first experience Aincrad, but SAO is more than a game.

The girls are trapped, along with the other 10,000 players, by Akihiko Kayaba, the developer of the NerveGear and SAO. To get out, they must conquer Aincrad, floor by floor, until they beat the final boss in the Ruby Palace at it's summit. Then they all will be freed, however, if you die in the game, you die in real life.

The girls must band together with their new friend and face Aincrad, not just for themselves, but for all of the other players who can't take on such a challenge. After all they have been through, beating demons and sirens, a game should be easy, right?

EQG: Sword Art Online - Ruby Palace is not a sequel to EQG:SAO - Aincrad and, likewise, Ruby Palace is not a "rewrite". I chose to follow SOA Canon in Aincrad, placing the girls inside those events. Ruby Palace is a full crossover and Alt-U between EQG and SAO.

The Vignette Arcs are not required reading to follow the story, but they are recommended. The Pilot Episodes are the official start of the story.

Everything was going well for Queen Chrysalis of the changeling Swarm. She had fooled the ponies completely and the barrier that blocked her swarm was gone. Victory was all but assured as her changelings descended upon the helpless city of Canterlot.

Yet, even after all of that, there would be no victory for the changelings. A barrier of pure love would repel the invasion and bring about the end of Queen Chrysalis’s great swarm. With what fleeting magic she had left, Chrysalis attempted to slow the barrier's expansion in a desperate attempt to allow her swarm to escape.

She succeeded, but at a terrible cost. Magic drained, wings gone and chitin cracking. The only thought that went through her mind as the renewed barrier launched her through the air at close to the speed of sound was how she hoped her sacrifice was not in vain.

Then she hit the ground, and the Queen was dead. Her life ended as her broken body collided against the sand of a faraway desert. Yet her journey would not end here, for the Gardener had chosen her, and the Queen would live again.

Now armed with a strange companion and power known only as ‘the Light’ a new mare, devoid of her previous life's memories, must find her place in the world before her past returns to finish what they started.

For one who has seen and suffered as much as Chrysalis, high school should be a breeze. However, it comes with its own set of challenges. New friends, new enemies, and more homework than she can blast with changeling magic! But more challenging still are the old demons still festering in the depths of her heart and mind.
