After a long night of clubbing, Vinyl could use a morning of sleeping in. Unfortunately, Octavia wants her to get up so they can go to their university lecture, and she doesn’t want to make her a cup of tea either.

Equestria is a magical place. Almost everything that happens in Equestria happens because of magic. The changing of the leaves in autumn is no exception. It's a beautiful, quiet thing, the sort of experience that makes some ponies really stop and think for a while.

Vinyl Scratch is one of those ponies.

Octavia just wants to get some shopping done. Get in and get out. Naturally, that's not going to happen. Especially not when Vinyl like's to look with her hooves, not her eye's.

Hilarity ensues.

Octavia is enjoying a boring evening when she hears that her favorite musician is coming to town for a party. You either have to be invited, be somepony's plus one, or pay a fee of 200 bits. Octavia has none of that, so her not-so-helpful friends have a better idea.

Crash the party!

In this story, I'm taking a break from a few stereotypes on Vinyl and Octavia (as well as a few other characters) and writing Octavia with a little less common sense and more of a crushing slob. Vinyl, well, she'll be interesting to say the least.

There is a good amount of a building romance, but it doesn't drown out the story or development of characters, and trust me, there is much more development happening in this story, not like my last one where we jumped like three chapters to the end. I've learned my lesson

Rated teen for language and booze!

Sometimes, a mare just needs to climb a tree and stay there for hours and hours and hours on end. Octavia does not find this amusing, however. On the eve of her big audition for the Royal Canterlot Symphony, she needs her sleep. Unfortunately for her, Vinyl has the keys to their apartment, and she just won't get down from her darned tree.

It's going to be an interesting night... But maybe not for the reasons Octavia suspects.

Vinyl Scratch and Octavia are going on a camping holiday together! But when everything goes wrong due to Vinyl's terrible judgment and foresight, Octavia must learn how to have a good time anyway.

A comedy of errors starring our dynamic duo, and is also absolutely shipping-free.

There isn't much to be said about the Royal Guard. They serve and protect their country and their Princesses. And Captain Shining Armor couldn't be prouder of them.

But when their competence is called into question, what does he have to say then?

Vinyl Scratch loves Octavia.

Vinyl Scratch doesn't care who knows.

But Vinyl Scratch should have cared more about who knew her secrets...
