This story is a sequel to The Dragon Sage

After the events that took place in The Dragon Sage, Twilight and Spike have quietly started living and loving in their castle. Other ponies are bound to find out, so how will they respond? What does this mean for their friends and neighbors?

If you haven't read the previous story, I suggest it, but it is not necessary. Most characters and references to The Dragon Sage take a back seat role in this slice-of-life story. It's more as an extended epilogue than anything else.

Spike's happy world has always revolved around Twilight. From his hatching to their adventures in Ponyville, he has remained a faithful companion and loyal friend. But why is it that he has remained a baby for all of these years? There is so much about dragons that they do not know. In a rude awakening, Spike receives a letter from Princess Luna who promises to help Spike meet his potential. But how much will he change? Will his friends see him differently? And how will his life with Twilight evolve?

Spike's finally gotten a new journal, but things aren't looking so good. Chaos spirits, hyperactive fillies, mares with issues, puberty...that's not even the top of the barrel. Will he be able to survive?

Well, if anything, his written thoughts are sure to prove that being a baby dragon doesn't mean you can't work your way through life.

As Twilight comes across another new book, she notices that there was a spell that had a peculiar outcome: nothing! She cant believe that this is true and wants to try it out. However, she needs someone to test it on...more specifically an irritated dragon, wanting to go to sleep.

Twilight's been dissatisfied with Spike's literary skills as of late, thus casuing her to give Spike a journal. He's not amused, but what can he do?

No matter how much he dislikes the thing, it's his duty to write in it whenever something of note happens. Little does he know that some very interesting stuff is to come...

(NOTE:This story was written when I was ten, but please don't let you turn that off! I think that the sequel, Spike's Journal 2, is better, but I am proud that I was able to gain so many likes at such an age. Enjoy!)

The day-to-day efforts made by Spike seem to go unnoticed by Twilight as she is too caught up in her advanced studies to always be praising her young charge for his efforts. This causes both to feel bothered by each other's inability to understand what is needed to be the perfect pair they were back in Canterlot.

The situation is nearing a boiling point when Twilight is sent a mysterious draconic artifact to study on behalf of Princess Celestia. Perhaps researching the strange stone will aid in rekindling their bond?

Spike comes down with a bad case of Sapphire Flu, and while Twilight is away, she asks Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash to care for him.

An ancient lamp purchased from a trio of mysterious merchants, inspires Fluttershy (with help from Rainbow Dash) to tell a story she heard, a story that takes place in ancient Saddle Arabia.

Amire has traveled to Saddle Arabia in the hope of getting money for her family, but soon she finds herself trapped in a cave with a dusty, old lamp. To her surprise, she discovers that the lamp is no ordinary lamp, it contains three magic genies named Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, who will each grant her one wish.

But unknown to Amire, the magic lamp and the genies within, have caught the eye of the evil Garra, who hopes to use the wishes to become powerful enough to take over not just Saddle Arabia, but all of Equestria!

Spike had watched Twilight date Rainbow Dash before eventually welcoming the pegasus into their home. Some time after that, the two mares adopted Scootaloo to join their family.

Once just friends, Spike and Scootaloo are now siblings, and they must adjust to the new changes in their lives, and most importantly, being brother and sister.
