Everything should be all fun and games in Ponyville, but it's not. Not for you anyway. Not anymore. You've been noticing a lingering shadow following you, a strange ominous shape, and it's driving you to the brink of madness now. It's almost like this strange being wants to remind you of something that you desperately don't want to remember...

A changeling who finds responsibility thrust upon her after the failed Canterlot invasion.

A unicorn who finds herself part of first contact with a strange new creature.

A princess who finds hints of one she long since lost in another's mind.

With the arrival of a strange bipedal creature into Equestria, all three will find themselves intertwined with the fate of the girl. When language cannot be understood how will communication with the new arrival be achieved, and what secrets may the creature be bringing with her? What does the girl possess that may alter how the changeling in particular sees the world.

What could the girl possibly have that would allow one word – hope – to resonate so strongly, not only for herself but also the changeling.

This is a retelling of A Voice Among the Strangers from three viewpoints in particular. You don't have to read AVAtS to read this one, as I will be attempting to make each a full story on their own.

An ancient law of Canterlot states that each species present within the city must have an adequate diplomatic representation. There are no exemptions from it, even as far as interdimensionals aliens are concerned. As such, Anonymous the Human must pick up the mantle of an ambassador for humanity, even if he is the sole specimen. Even if he doesn't want to.

But it's not all bad news for him. After all, with such a responsibility also come some privileges. Personal guard detail, generous private mansion, all expenses covered by the crown. And of course, diplomatic immunity. Only that, thanks to the pony magic, the word immunity is taken much more seriously in Equestria.

A breed of warrior ponies whose existence had faded over time and vanished beyond legends lives deep in the underworlds of Equestria. Bloody and ferocious fights, life threatening treachery, and unimaginable deaths are common place in every pony's life in the dark and dangerous world. Wars are fought between multiple houses of ponies for wealth and power whilst the entire surface world is unknown to them. One particular pony questions the lifestyle and finds that he disapproves of the laws of the land. He goes off to find answers and freedom beyond the light and security of the underground cities into the dark unknown and beyond.

You are a human in Equestria, forced to work as a for-hire 'stress management consultant' (ie, cuddler) in order to make ends meet in this strange world while others search for a way for you to get home.
However, you've just been assigned to your biggest job yet- 'managing the stress' of none other than Princess Celestia herself. How will you go about your job?
In this Choose-Your-Own-Adventure story, you make the decisions, you are responsible for the consequences, and many possible storylines await!
