Equestria is beautiful world, filled with colourful ponies who all get along nicely with each other. However, it's also a world full of monsters. Dragons, hydras, changelings; this world is full of them. However, they are easily distinguished by their selfish goals and bestial methods. Ponies all avoid such monsters whenever they can, and view them all as evil and dangerous. But what would happen if real monsters came to this world? What if these monsters were more like ponies than monsters? Would they be accepted for who they were, or would they just be seen as nothing more than monsters and be ostracised for who they were?

Princess Celestia sends Twilight to a human school to learn how to be more human in case another incident happened... but what Twilight finds is that Yokai Academy is nothing like the human world she went to before.
