When she gets where the train takes her, she can live off the land or sing and play her guitar for money. When it’s time to move on? There’s always another train.

Originally written for the Quills and Sofa's channel, PANIC! Number 74. Prompt was Failed Heist, with 35 minutes to write, 10 minutes to edit/cry, and 110 minimum word count on 2/10/2021. I don't remember if it placed or not, but I'll update this if it did. It probably didn't though.

In another time, in another world, a dragon's egg is a rare treasure, one that can shape the fate of nations. In a desperate bid for possession of one, two opposing powers send it tumbling through worlds, where it inadvertently lands in the possession of a young filly named Twilight Sparkle.
