There was only one explanation. For all of it. All of the strange, erratic behavior. Her irrational fear of the sun. Her nocturnal habits of locking herself in in the dark and closing all the blinds. Wearing her sunglasses everywhere, even inside! It was time to invest in some silver, garlic, and a wooden stake.

Equestria is in bad shape, many are unemployed and Rainbow & Twilight are no exception. This is a short day in the long lives of two ponies who are madly in love.

Watching the beginning of the series, I noticed just how well Apple Jack seemed to know Rainbow Dash and how she could even pull on her tail without even so much as an angry stare. They seemed to know everything about each other. This story is my explanation of how that relationship might have started.

“What the hell?” he muttered. “What happened? He cautiously opened his eyes again.
“Oh…”
He wasn’t in his room.
“Oh…” Soarin mumbled again, looking down at the bed beneath him.
He wasn’t in his bed.
“Oh my…” He said, his eyes snapping open as his foggy brain put two and two together.

After being discharged from the Wonderbolts and spending an interesting night with a certain rainbow-maned Pegasus, Soarin moves into a new career, Weather Control.

He has no idea what he's in for.

After school, Scootaloo is approached by Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. Rather than the usual comments about her lack of cutie mark, however, Diamond Tiara gets much more personal and hateful with her insults towards the young pegasus. So much so that to everyone's surprise, herself included, Scootaloo reacts with violence.

It's Scootaloo's birthday, and all she wants is to spend most of it with her idol. Instead she got something she never asked for.

At least not out loud.

After a long day of flight practice with Scootaloo, Rainbow Dash discovers the filly knows next to nothing about preening and takes it upon herself to teach her.
