You are a school-age colt who hates Hearts and Hooves Day with a passion and wishes the holiday would leave as soon as it arrives. All that changes when you run into the local bully Diamond Tiara. You say something nice to her and suddenly your world starts to change...

According to legend, Ponyville used to be a small town where the elements of harmony resided, it was a peaceful place full of friendship, love and acceptance until one day the town went quiet. As if everypony had just packed up and hit the hills in one night. You decide that it's not that scary and take a train to Ponyville's only station.

Being the Royal Advisor for Celestia and Luna, you've come up with solutions for many of the nation's problems.

Unfortunately you said a naughty word in front of a guard. Seeing as how these ponies are extremely sensitive, you lie your way out of it.

The events that follow could only be described as "completely stupid".

You remember Canterlot. You remember the taste of victory. Across a thousand years and a hundred lives, it was the greatest joy you had ever felt.

And then, in a flash of heat and unbearable light, it ended.

Now you are alone. The rest of your kind are dead or scattered, and you cannot hear their thoughts.

There is a void inside you. A gnawing, endless hunger you cannot escape. It is killing you.

You need love to survive, but there is none of that here. Not for you. You can only steal it from them, these ponies for whom we are hungry.

When you were a foal you ended up with front row seats to a momentous event. Unfortunately that same event caused you brain damage enough that to this day you can't keep both your eyes open for long and the one eye that can see perfectly fine is unable to process color anymore.

Freshly broken up with yet another mare you return to the place that cost you your sight with little going for you other than being a weather Pegasus. Your boss as it turns out would be the last pony anypony would expect you to get along with at first. But since she doesn't know and you long since forgave her it should be fine... at least until she decides you're her newest prank victim.

(AN: I'm considering putting Derpy in here but not sure yet. Also after the first few chapters updates will be PAINFULLY slow, at least while I'm working on my other stories. Fav at your own risk)
