There once was a little filly named Diamond Tiara. This is the story of how she died.

...No, that's not quite right. For there was in fact another filly by the same name. Another Diamond Tiara, who lived. She was the second one. It's confusing, I know, but I promise it will all make sense in the end.

It all started on a perfectly ordinary day in Ponyville, when Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends were trying to stop an insane magic-powered golem from destroying the entire town.

This is the story of two little fillies named Diamond Tiara. The one who died, and the one who lived.

Takes place during season 4, shortly after Twilight Time.

After unusual circumstances leave them forever changed, the Cutie Mark Crusaders embark on one final adventure to regain what they've lost.

Gore tag is chiefly due to Zombie Apple Bloom being kind of icky and zombie-ish. Read at your own discretion.

Diamond Tiara's father, Filthy Rich, has been abusing her for several years of her life. While Diamond Tiara stayed quiet about it, one of his servants finally gave in and reported it to the Equestrian Foal Protective Services.

Now Diamond Tiara has been taken from her father and is assigned to live with the only family in the area that could legally take them in: the Apple Family.

Now Diamond Tiara is being forced to confront the reality of exactly what she believes about the apples, as well as confront her past.

It's time to see where the diamond lies within the apple trees.

Sweetie was just a normal little filly, waiting for hearth's warming eve to arrive. That time of year when all little fillies are suppose to be happy and all hearts burn the brightest.

But when the latest Cmc stunt goes a little to far, Sweetie makes a horrifying discovery that turns her world upside down - and turn her friends against her.
Unable to bear the haunting looks of others, she runs away from home.

Thus - with the world seemingly stacked against her - she sets of on a journey to try and discover the truth behind her existence, and the secrets of her origin. And above all else if there is a place where she belongs.

Or will this be a heart's warming eve she'll be forced to spend alone?

Diplomacy has failed. Six years have passed Equestria's crowning of the princess of friendship, ushering in a supposed unprecedented age of peace and harmony. The concept of warfare is, to most ponies, nothing more than an unfathomable legend. They have let their guard down.

An unknown enemy has seized the opportunity to attack Equestria with terrifying new weapons of war, bent on taking the fertile land and restoring an ancient order. The valiant efforts of the Royal Guard have given Princess Twilight and her arcane scientists time to research and develop a response to their attackers, and the time has come for that response to be implemented. Utilizing weapons and tactics borrowed from another world, five squads under the command of Princess Luna will infiltrate the forests of the Equestrian Northwest to destroy a revolutionary magical matrix that Twilight refers to as the "radio" - a tool that allows enemy ponies to communicate across vast distances instantly.

Nightmare Two is comprised of three foalhood friends who, rather than be separated from each other in the draft, volunteer to become one of the five Nightmare squads. With their bodies forever altered to suit the needs of their mission, the three young mares join legions of ponies armed with powerful weapons to partake in a horrifying new breed of warfare - Equestria's first in over one thousand years.

Got some FAQ's for you guys as well!

- Alternate universe in which the events of "Crusaders of the Lost Mark" did not occur. (As much as I loved it! :D)

- Numerical age tends to vary with headcanon, but the CMC here were just getting started with their adult lives when the draft went into effect.

- The war is pony v. pony, utilizing firearms and the Equestrian equivalent of a tank. The underlying headcanon is that ponies used firearms similar to muskets and tracked armored vehicles akin to our tanks in times of old, and what the enemy currently employs is essentially the natural progression of these technologies.

- There are no real-world weapons or equipment i.e. "Panzer IV," or "M16 assault rifle." Particularly acute details such as the caliber of weapons are also absent.

- Technology is based on that of WWI with some WWII elements. Firearms are primarily bolt-action.

- The "radio" spell matrix functions as what we know to be a radio, but is not identical.

- All four of a Night Mare's legs are permanently replaced by the augments.

- Night Mares are female. Stallions proved unable to properly animate the limbs.

Sometimes I just hated going to school with all of those stupid foals. None of them were as pretty or awesome as I was back then. They all thought that I was really mean to them, but what did they know?

Dinky has grown up enough to stay home by herself while her mother Derpy is out making deliveries. But Dinky isn't so happy about this when a major storm rolls in from the Everfree Forest and her mother doesn't come home that night.

Apple Bloom takes a shortcut on a joint project for Twilight time. This poor decision inadvertently leads to a discovery about herself that will change her life forever.

Silver Spoon has never been considered a fan favorite among the fans of My Little Pony, and with good reason. She isn't really that developed in the show aside from being a constant brat and bully towards the Cutie Mark Crusaders with Diamond Tiara, but why is she like this? Does she partake in such actions just for pleasure, or does she have some other, more tragic motive for being so crude?

When Apple Bloom and her friends discover that Apple Bloom is being paired up with Silver Spoon for a class project, they finally get an opportunity to discover Silver Spoon’s true nature. At first, the three crusaders begin to assume the worst and prepare themselves for the worst week of their lives. Apple Bloom is unsure whether she should trust the grey filly. She is eager to finish the assignment before Silver Spoon can deal out any more painful and bitter insults. However, as Silver Spoon begins to spend more time away from Diamond Tiara, Apple Bloom begins to realize that Silver Spoon is a much more tolerable and pleasant pony to be around. Apple Bloom begins to trust Silver Spoon more and more over the course of the project as tragic secrets are revealed that were once hidden away from all to see. Is this all just some clever scheme; a facade put on by Silver Spoon to milk sympathy from others, or is life served with a silver spoon not as sweet as they were led to believe? And when she learns the truth of Silver Spoon's parents, can she really be mad at her for all she's done?
