Spike has been feeling lonely lately. Everyday he watches Twilight go off and have fun with her friends while he does the same thing: clean, and do chores. His luck seems to change though when he and Twilight find a flyer for a circus. With Twilight's friends, Spike goes to the circus with them. At the circus, Spike meets and befriends the circus performers and show him true love and friendship. Tired of being left out or not being loved by the others, Spike decides to leave Twilight and the others for his new friends. Will they get the baby dragon back?

Do note this was written originally on my DeviantART account and came out before season 2 of Friendship is Magic. This was my first fic as well so I know I won't accept a lot of praise or anything here. I do appreciate you all reading it though.

The first draft was a co-bronze-medalist in the the MLPChan /fic/ writeoff for December 2012.

The talented Ponychan /art/ denizen Spirit Shine provided us with a beautifully poignant portrait of Spike's First New Year's Alone as a picture prompt (also: was gracious enough to let me use the image as a cover). I ran with it and decided to have Applejack kill Spike.

It's not as bad as it sounds. Luna's there to keep him company.

He was merely a young colt dressed as a pirate when he met her and with a long, tragic breath knows he could never compare himself to her status, yet for years onward she has looked passed something so trifle and found love.

He is but a mortal Earth Pony, but she is a Goddess, a Princess even of the moon, night sky, dreams and an entire kingdom itself.

Of what chance does a mortal have with a Goddess?

Of what hope would the Goddess ever fall in love with the colt she has known for years and how far will that Princess go to prove her love?

And knows by fact that nothing last forever.

A Pipsqueak/Luna romance, if you find errors please inform me and I'll get it fixed quickly.

Enjoy for those who are fans of said pairing and very, very slight cameo of an OC for those who are not fans of such.

Spike and Rarity go to Canterlot on a long weekend vacation both with plans, but things don't always go as planned. Spike and Rarity are in for a ride. Feelings will be tested and a new ship that I should have never attempted may come to light.

Spike the Dragon has lived in Ponyville for a few years. Everything was as close to perfect as perfect can be, until Spike was accused of a crime that he did not do. He was sentenced to be exiled from Ponyville effective immediately. The dragon could hardly believe his fate as all the ponies he had been friends with turned on him so quickly. Even the mane six turned at his pleas. Only the CMC stood up for Spike, but being still young, no one took their word seriously. Now Spike goes on a Journey for a new home.

With everything going on in his happy life in Ponyville, the adventures, the fun, the lessons on friendship, Spike never took time to have any appreciation with his time with it all, assuming his life would always be this happy. Then that letter came... the letter that had it spelled out right in front of him that he was never supposed to happen, that he was never supposed to even live, and that Twilight must make the difficult choice of choosing her friend, or her princesses orders. As Spike finds anger inside him build up from seemingly nowhere, he storms out of the house, into the twilight of the night, tears streaming down his cheeks.

All the while, Rarity is there to comfort Spike through his emotions, his feelings, his fears that one baby dragon should never handle on their own. She begins to realize just how important Spike is to her, not just as a friend. As the days of his happy life tick by second after second, just how dirty is Rarity willing to get just to save a dragon's numbered days?
