Featuring Twilight Sparkle, Spike, Trixie and Sea-Ponies!

Twilight was doing the best she could to become a princess of which everypony could be proud. With only a few teensy little bouts of self-doubt, she was hitting the books like a pro, learning the ropes from the elder princesses, and easing into the job at a cautious, steady pace. Steady, that is, until a certain power-obsessed centaur threw all of her timetables and checklists into the air – along with most of her house.

So with T-wreck now back in the slammer, all she and Spike have to do is get used to living in a new house castle as well as cope with changed circumstances, responsibilities and expectations. Easy-peasy, right?

The events of this story happen in parallel to and intersect with events in Outland, although each story can be read independently.

As the Element Bearers prepare for his return, some ponies remember Discord's darker days. Forces long dormant awake, wishing the return of the rule of chaos, while others, equally old and secret, will stop at nothing to prevent Discord's rebirth! And then there's just one more thorny little question. Who in their right mind would want to adopt him anyway?

Some gamers love to play simulations because it lets them become other characters and direct their virtual lives. Or is it the other way round? Spike and Button or Rick and Peter. Who's to say what's a game and what's reality? Maybe the only difference is a matter of perspective!

An entry in the March Playstation Gamers Contest. IRL!

This story is a sequel to Tooth and Nail

Twilight Sparkle meets Richard Lyon, a human, and the two work closely to implement a bilateral inter-universal trade agreement between Equestria and Earth. Romance ensues, chopsticks are used, and there's a visit to the dentist. Incidentally, throughout all of this mushy business, Spike is neither abused, ignored, beat up nor made fun of.
Oh, and yes, it is a love story, despite the fact that I've repeatedly said I would never write a ship-fic. So sue me.
P.S. – This story was written for and submitted as an entry to "The Most Dangerous Game" writing contest sponsored by Obsolescence. Besides, what could be more dangerous than Twilight in love?
