At a sleepover at Twilight's castle on Nightmare Night, Twilight suggests an antiquated game for them all to play.

—Squad has arrived in kirin village.

—Have confirmed the body mentioned in the communique to be the remains of Ranger Flintlock of the Royal Guard, though it's undergone rapid decomposition in the three days since its discovery and is nearly unrecognizable. May be impossible to have transported back to Canterlot intact in its current state.

—The earth pony male mentioned to have been found with the body, confirmed as being Professor Green, had disappeared the previous night when most of the locals had turned in. The remaining two members of the expedition—Trace Findings and Doctor Stratum—remain unaccounted for.

—A stack of freshly-written papers was found in the room where the professor was kept for recuperation. Frantically written and smeared in places, but legible enough for our scribe to have transcribed onto the document attached to this scroll.

—Be forewarned: some of its contents are disturbing.

Apple Bloom isn't crazy. Sweetie Belle knows she isn't, because Apple Bloom keeps telling her so.

And so when Bloom insists that the Cutie Mark Crusaders sneak out of a sleepover to investigate the strange lights she's seen out of her window at night, the ones that Applejack says don't exist, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo begrudgingly agree to help.

This, as it turns out, is a mistake.

When the festival celebrating Nightmare Night arrives at Ponyville everypony thought it would be the usual funscary time of the year they had come to love. Foals and adults running in the street and enjoying a night of good-natured fun. What could possibly be better? Surely, nothing could ever ruin such a night.

Unless, of course, an otherworldly unbidden guest made itself rudely present.

Based on the short story by CreepyCrabs, Cinnamon Stick, a student at the School of Friendship seeks help from the counselor. After telling her about the way his parents treat him, the counselor promises him that she will do what she can to fix their relationship. All he has to do was to come to her office again without telling anyone.

Author's Note: This story is the result of a vote I held in which is technically my spin on a creepypasta that already exists.

I'd do just about anything to help my faithful assistant and dearest friend with his problems, but this time I may be out of my depth. Something's wrong with Spike... very wrong, and I'm not sure I can fix it on my own. I don't know what's going on, but I'm worried about him. Some of the things he's been saying lately... they scare me.

I'm afraid for him... and I think I might be afraid of him.

At least until it returns to haunt her, and she has no choice but to confide in Celestia and hope her sister trusts that she hasn't gone mad.

It had been a perfectly ordinary day for Twilight. She'd gone about her business, then she'd come back to her library, she'd said Spike goodnight and she'd curled up in her bed, ready to sleep the night away. She didn't think there would be any reason for her to wake up. She would have never been able to guess the reason.
