For nearly every citizen of Equestria, it's a holiday: a chance to get together with friends, gather a few treats, and laugh in defiance of the darkness.

For Celestia, Nightmare Night is something else entirely.

All of the girls speak directly to his face, and it feels like none of them listen to a single word which emerges from his mouth. They treat him as a prize: something which will say how special they were for being able to win him. There are boys in Hogwarts who would relish that shallow level of attention, and Bill Weasley isn't one of them. Sometimes it feels like there's no one in the world who understands.

But some say there are other worlds. And no one doesn't mean nopony.

The Firework Lotus Celebration, a grand festival which celebrates the dawn of a new year, is a tradition held near and dear to Spike's heart. And as Spike soon discovers, it's a choice best made with the help of some friends.

This story is a sequel to Bulletproof Heart: The Great, The Powerful, and the Bulletproof

When he left Spurhoof, Sheriff Cranky Doodle handed his badge to Code Red. Why? Heck if Red knows. Not that he's complaining, being a sheriff in a tiny town like this is easy! Just pretend to have a backbone and enjoy the cushy position.

Until the day an unknown pony starts camping on the roof of the Wagon Train Clothier and firing warning shots at anypony who comes close. As if that's not bad enough, now a posse of drifters have arrived who look like they're planning something unpleasant. Suddenly, being sheriff of Spurhoof isn't all that great. But Red's got the badge, so he's supposed to do something about it.

May the Sisters spare him.

Written for the 'Write an Episode' Challenge, partially because the rules intrigued me.

Story is set during the events of the as-yet unreleased Bulletproof Heart sequel. It's not necessary to have read the original to understand these events, although it would help to fully grasp some of the background.

Cover art was found using a Bing search. Might apply a more customized one later.

Thanks to Merc the Jerk and Wanderer D for pre-reading!

This story is a sequel to The Education of Clover the Clever

History is full of mysteries.

Before the first Hearth's Warming, when the pony tribes were divided and weak, the Griffon Empire threatened to conquer the lands of ponies. The Unicorn King sent his court wizard Star Swirl the Bearded to the Griffon King to persuade him not to.

When the dust had settled the Griffon Empire ceased all expansion, and for many decades afterwards the Griffon King sent assassins to kill the wizard.

No-one knows what the two of them said to each other when they met, and over time the meeting between them became shrouded in myth. Legends sprang up about what had happened, each wilder than the last.

Now the story is told.

(New to the series? Unsure where to start? Don't worry! While they share a history, all these stories are meant to work on their own, and explain themselves along the way. Feel free to try this one, or start with one of the others. The Education of Clover the Clever is considered the best, and is a great place to begin.

This is an AU I started writing in 2013, and it has diverged from canon in ways large and small, but it rarely matters. When this story begins Starlight Glimmer is here, and the Castle of Friendship, but Star Swirl the Bearded hasn't returned to G4's present.)

This story is a sequel to Monsoon Season

When you're a filly, there isn't much point to seeing Homecoming as a holiday. Apple Bloom knows exactly how it works: you have to clean everything, make a big meal, there's a lot of adults talking around the dinner table -- so it's basically like every other day, except with extra chores and special plates. Homecoming is when you're supposed to be with your closest family, and she lives with them. She doesn't wait for Homecoming so much as she waits to get through it, or just... waits.

On Homecoming, you seek out your closest family.
Babs is spending Homecoming on the Acres.
Why?

The year nears its end, but the war seems to stretch on forever. General Winter has sided with Sombra, and morale runs low among most Equestrian forces. Hearth's Warming seems like a bitter joke.

But a mare has come to the front from Canterlot, and she's brought one Tartarus of a present.

This story is a sequel to Heir of Generosity?

When you're trying to live up to the expectations of two role models, a single mistake can seem like a big deal. Luckily for Scootaloo, she has Apple Bloom around to help her talk it out. Whether she wants to or not.

Just one more question in the ongoing drama that is Scootaloo's life, this time narrated by Apple Bloom.

The heroic life isn't necessarily glamorous. Ben didn't get to fight the most recent alien to pop out of a pocket wormhole, because it collapsed shortly after arrival. The weird quadruped (a hand at the end of its tail, eyes where its nostrils should be) is currently doing nothing more than sleeping the trip off. But the Plumbers need to know what it's doing here -- and as long as it's asleep, there's only one means of interrogation available. Which requires using one of his least-favorite forms, but... that's the heroic life for you.

It's just that someone's already invaded that alien's dream.

And she has no problems with telling Ben how bad he is at it.
